I have a few questions about this game and I hope that you can answer them all, yes, all of them

-Why is there no proper minimap? How are you supposed to get around places with a minimap that's just made of fucking dots?

-Why is it that despite getting the timing right the special attack works only half of the time, to the point that you end up spamming it because it seems like the better option?

-Why is it that a building that's literally right outside the first city you visit in the game has already overleveled mobs

-Why toilet paper?

-Why is it that it's way easier to find materials for normal healing potions than small ones?

-Why does the Hort have such rooms with narrow corridors and such buildings that all literally look the fucking same?

-Why are you requested to fight really stronk NPCs really, really early on?

-Why is the lightning so fucking weird? In an attempt to make things look realistic you can barely see anything inside castles depending on your camera angle. No, when I go outside on a normal sunny day I don't always have to wear fucking sunglasses, nor does everything inside a building look completely dark

-Why do attributes suddenly decide to take more points than usual in a game where you're required to have like 50 points in two attributes to get a basic skill and you don't get many of those per level?

-Why do mobs considerably over your level give you such shit experience that you might as well not fight them?

-What's the point of stamina with Risen combat?

-No seriously, what's the point?

-Why is it that it's an infinite number of times easier to hit a target with a bow with the gamepad than the keyboard?

-Who thought it was a good idea to include a faction based around medieval weapons and magic in a setting where they can obviously be anally ravaged by anything, and put the player in that place?

-Why make a game where "if it works don't fix it" is a selling point but then they break what worked?

I'm sorry but I'm going to have to agree with you. Janky were the previous entries. This is more than that. Comfy it isn't, as the setting is really mixed up and the only good looking place in the game is the place that you want to leave as soon as possible and the sound design is pretty fucking terrible. Risen 1 was the most comfy out there. And 30 people are capable of much more than this. If they took half the effort they put into designing the map and put into the rest of the game it would have gone from a 5/10 to a 8/10 easily.

And I have this thing where everytime a new PB game comes out I have to play it and sort of get past its flaws. This one left me even more disappointed than Risen 2, and let me tell you fuck that game.

Is anyone else playing on ultra diff? It feels literally impossible, tiny runt critters remove like 1/3rd of your health bar with 1 hit.

So combat is quite easy now after getting a stamina+hp ring plus the stamina+health survival skills. Some mobs can't be damaged though and some 2-3 shot me.

The hairstyles in this game are /fa/ as fuck.

Once you get a decent one yeah, although if you've got a ton of enemies attacking you at once they'll drain your stamina instantly so you may as well roll away.

Yeah, as long as the fucker doesn't have a ranged attack that takes 80% of your health bar down it's all good. To be fair, a gamepad + ranged is probably the only way to get through some mobs early in this game without running away all the fucking time.

It's the most important stat
Upgrade it immediately
2. Steal the venom sword at the female vendor in berserker town OR the antique sword in the hotel and smash strength/dex until you can wield it
3. Upgrade your companion and do their quest
4. Get pickpocket for early and easy cash
