Matchmaking is going to be slow as fuck and item server is going to be down for the majority of the day. Campaign stuff is going to function fine as to piss you off even more that it takes so long to get into a server.

I'm expecting at least some crashes due to the new flame particle systems.
Thermal Thruster is going to be underwhelming for a lot of people, while Dragons Fury and Gas Passer will both be reviled by baddies akin to the phlog (IOW they're fine, even underpowered if anything). Hot Hand is exactly what it looks like (joke weapon).
Second Banana does in fact have an offensive throw effect (small kit for teammates, makes enemies loose movement control in a 'slip'). It's probably OP but it will take a while for that consensus to emerge.
Day 4 is about the totally new matchmaking/casual setup and server system. It's totally new, MyM competitive is just gone. New mode is integrated 'Casual' and 'Competitive' for all Valve Official Servers.
The blog post teases Source 2 migration coming, and possible Valve map remakes, but none of that is part of this update.
