Why doesn't this happen in IRL
Sengoku Rance has it happen in some routes, Makenshi Leane and Makenshi Leane 2 let the enemy steal your women away to join their armies
>every character you met and helped in the game betrays you during the final mission
Persona 3, 4 and 5.
Shit's getting old.
>you meet every bad person you killed and see them as good people in the ending
How did you even manage to finish that shit, man.
Dragon Age 2
because it's good
Eternal Darkness has you use all the characters that died in their scenario as against Pious.
Portrait of Ruin has you summon most previous Belmonts in an attack.
I think Paper Mario kind of does the same thing in the final battle while you fight as Peach.
>every character you met and helped during the game dies before or after the final boss.
I gotta say I wasn't expecting much outta Monster Girl Quest but it was enjoyable as hell with stuff like that
>4 Answer Destruction Path
>All the main characters in the game unite against you because you're the final boss.
>you join the antagonist and kill off all your buddies you made through the game
>you see yourself as others see you in the alternate ending

Alternatively
>You kill your leader in the intro stage
>cancerous frogposters
knights of the old republic to an extent
>the love interest you've been mourning all game that's presumed dead or missing is the final boss
First time I've ever seen someone say FC2 is good
>every character you met and helped in the game assists you during the final boss
Surprised that Horizon did this.
>The final boss fight is much better if you don't help the characters
Breath of Fire IV
get lost
It's trash either way
>every boss you killed is reanimated and assists the final boss
>it can also be your brother who was assumed dead
Knight of the Old Republic, you can roleplay Lawful Good throughout the game, then do a complete 180 on your affinity and morals just with one dialogue choice. Half the team still sticks by your side (bad guys mostly), the other half says they can't let you do that, team massacre ensues.
The best part of going evil was making corrupted Bastilla your corrupted Bastilla instead of turning her back to light side or killing her. Might've given me corruption fetish when I was a kid.
Shadow run HK
Celestial Brush Gods!! They haven't left us. The way they came back surrounding Amaterasu one by one was a goosebump moment for me. I love this trope.
read it as
>the love interest you've been mounting all game
going dark is a sensible choice tbhfam
the jedi masters were cunts fuck them
Kind of the opposite, but this game had an affinity system with your units. You could talk to them during after battle intermissions which would make it go up as well as doing other things like letting them get kills in battle or assisting you during attacks. Conversely, if you neglected them or they constantly died in battles, they'd lower their affinity.
In the final stage of the game when you fight against the last boss he uses a technique to brainwash you. If you have high affinity with your team they'll be able to snap you out of it and you all kick the last boss's ass. If you have too affinity, however, their words won't reach you through the brainwashing and you play the stage except you're on the boss's side and have to kill all your allies and get the bad end.
>playing games with "bosses"
