I like this one so far, pretty comfy like his older videos. Why are people saying he's starting to die off? His AVGN videos still get a million views. It's also clearly going to become one of his scripted Halloween videos which have always been a joy for me.

His French equivalent Joueur Du Grenier, pic related, has already done that years ago and it re-sparked and helped the channel move forward.

Stuff like how early 3D games were almost all objectively worse than their 2D counterparts is something that often flies under the radar.

He also created a side channel like everyone else does these days so that his Let's plays and other short format videos are separate from the main one. I assume that brings in more ad revenue and doesn't over-saturate the main channel.


But the biggest different is that JDG actually likes video games while James couldn't care less. James' passion is movies.

He was the first to truly expose people to this sort of thing. Some Jap making videos that no one knows about doesn't constitute pioneering.
