I heard this game is pretty unforgiving on stats
I want to work with the clerics, what stats to focus on?
...
Why is this game getting viraled so hard, I saw and heard nothing about it all throughout development, suddenly it's a week or two before it comes out and I see a front page thread every day.
INT
Found it. Needs some subtitles desu.
youtube.com
Euro jank is a special kind of drug
Where was that amulet that gives bonus quest experience?
...
>12 hours into the game.
>Barely getting by due to lack of stats.
>Decide to spend what I've been saving up.
>It doesn't work.
>Stuck at level 3 as well.
>Cannot apply stats or abilities.
Thanks game.
Anyone know if the "trophy hunter" perk is worth investing in?
i just started the game are the clerics the one with psyonic powers and the futuristic suits and if so how do i join them
I'm going for outlaw because reasons, anyone have suggestions on stats or build focus?
I'm doing chainblade and firearm outcast build. Chainblades equally require str and dex so it works well with the dex-requiring firearms.
that is kind of a lot to do
Sounds great.
Everybody needs INT faggot, from the Berserkers if you want to be a mage, and the Outcasts since their faction skills are crafting focused/dick ass thieves.
I have no fucking idea what to make of the game, you can't function in any faction without minmaxing and basically being a jack of all trade put stats in everything.
The game changes according to your choices and actions. Like choosing a faction and more. Impossible to know the whole game with only one playthrough.
>heh, ever since i've gotten this chainblade, this game's become to ea-
is this game good
for real
also what the fuck is it
some screenshots and webms it looks like a fantasy game, then in others it looks like Blade Runner, then in others it looks like Mad Max im so confused
Sure is tempting to use cheat engine.
Game really needs companion commands. Caja does basically twice the damage with spells as she does melee and she has really low health.
But 90% of the time she charges in with her sword like she's the fucking blademaster.
as someone who pirated it, I'm liking it. Sure it has some wonky animations, but the story so far has been enjoyable and the voice acting is pretty good.
What can I use natural elex for?
just stood there without rolling, what did you expect? if you just stand there in dark souls, what happens?
Lots of things. It's one of the most important crafting materials in the game if not THE most.
look at the webm and see how quick it went from idling animation to full-on spastic beak-peck attack.
The absolute legend was trying to parry it.
As someone who lurked the other thread.
how about smoking some elex`?
>that cleric city
>robots with swords flying around with jetpacks everywhere
MY HOME
I'm more confused as to why you weren't blocking while you were standing still rather than by how slow your reflexes are.
Psssh Those absolute madmen put a white power fist on the healthbar.
/ourguys/
>tfw some outlaw in abessa offers you to smoke some drugs with you
>tfw jax declined right away
Its the only thing that bothered me so far
Do you like my game?
Anyone got webms of how the combat works?
Does the game work on potatoes?
14/88 brother
Der Untermensch
What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch?
I'm going to assume that skull next to its healthbar is the indication of you fucking up here.
Game even has a radiation mechanic. Noice.
Are they brothers? Distant cousins?
Should I not be talking to anyone with a stat check I can't make? They never seem to show up as options again when I leave the dialogue. That is a really stupid way of implementing it forcing you to save before talking to anyone basically and keeping track of what stat checks are on the NPCs.
are those early 2000s broad pants ?
PB is just like Bethesda, shit out the same game over and over again just with a new paint on it.
>Character asks you to get something then immediately go somewhere else
>Quest Marker only shows him
>If you go back to him he gets mad at you for not paying attention
Noice
the game devs cant afford to pay a company to adverse their product so they are here on Sup Forums v daily making new threads
AYYYYY LMAO
Allright, techno guys need INT, crafting is important. What else do I need to know before booting it up for the first time?
Nothing. Just play the damn game.
Discovering new things and figuring things out is half the fun of the early game
Just doublechecking for total noobtraps or hard lockout type fuckups. If theres none of that I'll peace out of the thread, install is almost done. Cheers
fucking 4.9 from ign
they didnt get enough money for a higher score
I fucking loved risen3 should I buy this?
Who cares about video game journalists? They suck.
youtube.com
On a whim. Risen 2 and 3 are their worst.
Yeah I know risen 3 is a bad game, it's flawed as hell but still fun as shit. And I love gothic and risen 1. I didnt care, I pirated it though so maybe thats why I loved it.
Now that IGN owns humble bundle they are a publisher and a retailer of video games so they will rate any game they aren't selling lower than the game deservers. If it ends up being sold on their platform they go in and bump the score up to like an 8 or so
Caught this fag takin a piss kek
I love almost all of their games to death. Even the mess that was Risen 2. With Risen 3 I didn't bother to finish the game, however. Didn't seem all that bad though, because I had some absolute lulz by getting this almost naked native chick into that sausage fest pirate camp with like seven dudes. They didn't imply anything else, but lmao.
Elex looks really promising so far, but I'll wait a bit more before I start playing/buying. Thought the science fantasy concept was shit, but I'm impressed how well they have seemingly done it.
Is this game any good?
It literally looks like risen 3 on crack. Im buying this shit.
>no fully modeled vagina
If you like RPG's, like the real deal, then it is very much. Otherwise don't bother.
It's the usual journalist spiel but two things annoyed me enough to take note
>Things like having to constantly buy potions from vendors to heal yourself while also dealing with the constraints of a stingy, gear-focused economy are throwbacks to the bad old days when your survivability was based on the size of your wallet
How the fuck? You can get the ability to craft healing potions as soon as you hit the first town.
>One boss took me almost two hours to slay because I had to keep trying until I got lucky enough not to trigger his unblockable, nearly undodgeable rock-throw attack (which he could somehow hit me with even when I was standing directly behind him) too many times.
>Getting hit by rockthrows in 2017
Just use your jetpack you dumb fuck.
I pirated it and just bought it today since I'm really enjoying it.
If you like exploring and good story then it good.
He doesn't seem to mind that fag behind him. lel
why the fuck do you stalk a guy while he is taking a piss?
that is kinda gay user.
It sure looks like a PB game on steroids. I'm on board.
do your companions die in this?
or do they just get "knocked out" and recover when the fight is over?
Knocked out and recover.
ok good. that means i dont have to baby sit them as much and pretty much just use them as a distraction.
>tfw coming back to edan after being battle-hardened by the desert
*mutated raptor bird teleports behind you*
Heh, nothing personnel, you kid
crazy exploring
I sure do love when some NPC tries to help me in combat and it takes three times as long because I have to avoid killing him in the crossfire.
Any sort of character customization, different hair styles and the like?
>trader npc gets threatened by group of bandits
>shit escalates
>proceed to black hole the whole area
>bandits and trader now try to kill me
okay
I want to like this game because the exploration is fun but there's no fucking loot and I can't get stronger.
I went all the way out to the outlaw desert and everything there just fucks me in the ass, I can't even get started on joining them to get armor and I don't want to be a berserker.
How are you supposed to get on your feet in this game?
You've already been to abessa and the middle village or whatever the fuck it's called?
Only place in the desert I ran into was the fort.
Mostly I'm tired of getting twoshot by shit level enemies and taking 7 hits to kill things worth 25 xp.
sneak around enemies
quest
loot every building you see sneakily, even if there are enemies nearby
run away often, try to stay alive rather than die and retry combat
turn in every minor quest objective you can, usually just talking to the next NPC in the chain gives you 100xp
I have 2 pairs of rare sunglasses (every unique style of sunglasses provides a different buff), about a dozen weapons of varying styles, a fuckton of recipes and I think I've fought enemies above my level 2, maybe 3 times?
oh and bait high level creatures into high level humans then loot the bodies of whoever loses, I've gotten 6 exiles killed with one rotboar and looted as many grenades and 200 elexite from their corpses, that was fun.
on top of all this I still have strength and constitution at 10, dexterity is at 25 but that hasnt unlocked any new ranged weapons for me
taking a dwarf fortress "losing is fun" attitude to this game helps a mile too
Welcome to Gothic/Risen/Two Worlds games.
No I mean north west of the starting village. There is a round village on the map. Explore that region first
I hate when games inject chanting shit into their spooky tracks. Always gets me.
I'm glad that I can detect life so I can't get spooked.
The exp distribution for the enemies in the game are really weird. Why does some random exile that I can kill in five hits and a giant mutant that can squash me into paste with one heavy attack both give me 100xp for a kill?
Game looks boring as hell. Clipping issues everywhere, poor animations, and even worse voice acting. It's really got that western european quality.
the exiles have guns and are usually a group
Hey, 25 exp adds up
And in all fairness quests are limited. (unless you keep making elex drinks)
Killing a pack of raptors for 40 exp each, at least early is rewarding in itself.
lol nope
>Berserker hippies getting mad whenever i open the inventory next to one of them
I mean it makes sense but it also gets annoying very fast
i actually thought they would do something if you constantly bring up your menus in front of them.
but nope, instead they just bitch at you and do nothing about it.
I cant wait to get out of this fucking town.
Cheat Engine to the rescue. Just playing for the story, fuck that broken gameplay.
>tfw played 14 hours over the past 2 days
what's your playtime so far, Sup Forums?
>start game
>oh wow cool this faction tries to heal the land and make things better while the other choices are retard anarcho kids junkies and techno religious fucks
>get into their town
>everyone is a retarded two faced asshole trying to do as little as he possibly can
wow its just like real life
this, outlaws the only faction that makes sense
around an hour and thirty minutes. Having a hard time to muster up the energy to explore Goliet. It's just sorta bland.
3 hours
Work sucks
18 hours.
is this the dark souls of shitty borked rpgs?
Pretty much
