GS - STRfag who likes acting manly, leaves instantly if a monster is woken up from sleeping by anything other than his blade hitting a monster's brain at max charge

LS - loser who pretends to be an edgy hothead while tripping the whole group, they tend to band together in large groups so they don't get bitched at and become their own little community of swordspammers. A select few are masters of tailcutting and part-breaking and know what a fade-slash is.

SnS - Fast learning newbie who chose an easy weapon to use as they learn and not burden the group with carts. At very high levels a rare veteran will appear wielding a masterful status SnS.

DS - a graduated LSfag and DEXfag, reaching an all new level of edge but at least not tripping everyone. Writes ATATATATATATATTATA in chat.

SA - either a little kid in mixed gear or veteran who gets a kick out of upswinging people at random and also mains GS/Hammer.

You're right, A, hit will never match up with a hit from a GS. But 20 hits will, and that's what I can do in the time it takes you to get another triple charge.

If you put that skill into any other weapon to give that weapon an increase in damage due to knowledge of animations/weaknesses/status effects, the logic fails

The spin is a different jump attack that you can only do when sliding down a steep slope for the momentum. Every weapon has one, like GL has an aerial full burst.

After my SNES days I kinda just never owned another Nintendo console nor had any desire to. None of the games were appealing. I'm sure I missed out, but I'm not gonna invest in a platform for 1 or 2 games I know I'll play.

But playing MH solo is still fun, perhaps even more so for some people. I've solo'd 3U, 4U, and Gen all the way to their final G-rank bosses (to Amatsu for gen) and had a blast doing so each time, and I plan to solo World as well. Though I do go online to grind for rare parts when they refuse to drop just because it goes by much faster, and I went online for hyper monsters too because they're honestly just a pain in the ass solo.

Depends on the game. Some have online content available offline, some don't. I think in general, the later generations are pretty shit offline-only but the older ones have virtually the same content offline and online.

Hopefully the rest of the hunters body will become a hitbox whenever they do an attack too. So when you do a forward stab with a sword, your crotch will deal full damage to the monster as well. Only then will we be fighting on equal grounds.
