Sequel when?

>He thinks VTMB will ever have an sequel or even new game in the series.
No hope for a sequel, just want VtMB in virtual reality.
>Sequel when?
Probably never. If you read about the devs during their time developing VtMB, you'll see that one of them says they were all basically characters from the game. They were sleeping on friend's couches, the guy who did the OST was just getting out of jail and rehab, and things like that. It's not just about getting funding for a sequel, but finding the right devs to do it which is much harder.
This is what I was hoping for, but now that the unity port was hit with a cease and desist, it's probably not going to happen now.
Never because
a) - Troika is dead
and b)- the world ended about a year later
>the unity port
Project Vaulderie? IIRC the guy leading that started asking for donations and that's when it got shut down. I read on the planetvampire forums that there's already a basic way to get VtMB working in VR, I don't think it'll take a whole port. There will probably be a way to just play older games like that in VR.
>and b)- the world ended about a year later
I don't think anyone would care about that too much. Or they could do a game based on the "World of Future Darkness" which could be considered separate but not entirely. Would be neat to see some cyberpunk vampire stuff.
The setting was exhumed in 2011 via the 20th anniversary edition. There's an even newer edition in the works.
White Wolf would care and force the game to be in the Nu WoD where tranny vampires suck off men to oppose Trump
Installing this for the first time after pirating because fuck giving money to Activision. Isn't there an image like the stalker one, with general advice about races and stuff? I know I should go in blind but I really like to have a general overview about the game.
...
I doubt we will ever have a sequel.. given the situation.

Bloodlines clans combat ranking, from best to worst:
1) Toreador
2) Brujah
3) Gangrel
4) Tremere
5) Malkavian
6) Nosferatu
7) Ventrue
What do you mean exactly? Gehenna was retconned?
Not necessarily retconned, you can just say it hasn't happened yet
Oh, well I guess that's alright.
His twin brother fill his job, who looks exactly the same but wears glasses
i want a sabbat sequel
>who looks exactly the same but wears glasses
He doesn't talk much either. The first time you meet him he'll talk about Chunk a little bit, about how he just wanted to be a guard but someone killed him. After that when you go to talk to LaCroix he'll just tell you to go up without chatting. Then at the end he'll accuse you of being the one who killed Chunk and start shooting at you.
>brother avenging his siblings death against an unholy monster
was chunks brother the real hero of the story
>second malkavian playthrough
Holy fuck, this is even better
Just wait till your third nosferatu playthrough
>when you realize that Chunk was the Antediluvian all along
>nosferatu
eh, i dunno.
I love talking to people, and sneaking is both too good and extremely boring.
I'm not one for replaying games, VtM:B is the only exception i can think on except dark souls where i picked it up right away again
he's the only person in the entire game who doesn't do a single immoral thing
You can still (mostly) talk to people, but the dialogue changes, and you don't have to do any sneaking as a Nosferatu, hell its probably more effective to just put points in potence and animalism
Nosferatu can still talk to most of the NPCs and they get unique dialogues during introductions. I think the best is when you first talk to the cashier at the Red Spot in Hollywood.
I wish someone made a rerelease of this game on Steam with all the patches implemented and cheevos added.
>I'm not one for replaying games
>with all the patches implemented
I'm pretty sure that the Steam version is patched up to 1.2 which was the latest version before Troika disbanded and stopped working on it. I wouldn't like it to include the Unofficial Patches though... unless Wesp finally makes the basic version actually only for bug fixes.
Just get the GOG version
I've got games to play no time to play the same game again.
Except VtM:B apparently
Yeah, I meant the Wesp patches. I remember playing the patched version a long time ago and it still was really buggy. Maybe someone will pick this up and do an "enahnced" edition or something, the setting definitely deserves more attention, even if oWoD is dead.
But you can kill Chunk.
And then his identical brother takes his place.
Wait a second...
Tzimisce Antediluvian confirmed
I'd like a Mage game pls
Yeah 1.2 still has bugs even though you can finish the game without any extra patches.
Wesp's patches were full of bugs for a while too, unfixed ones from the vanilla game but also ones he added. Recently they've gotten better though. My only issue with them is that even the basic version of the patch "restores" dialogue and some other things that are really out of place and shouldn't be included in the basic version. One of the "restored" dialogue lines in the basic version of the patch actually made me stop playing for a bit to search about what was going on because it was confusing and I thought something was wrong with the game. Having it ported to the latest Source engine and just having the bugs fixed would be amazing though, I'd love to play that especially since it would fix any FPS issues in the game.
It kind of seems like more people are playing VtMB on YouTube, and talking about it. Would be nice if it gets to be popular and we get some kind of update to it or something.
>tfw Toreador with a Malk bf
>Sequel when?
You don't want a sequel user. Requiem is shit compared to Masquerade, and there's no way White Wolf is gonna license a game from a system they don't support anymore.
>tfw Tzimisce and I can be my own girlfriend or create one
>white wolf doing anything
daddy paradox makes the decisions now now, if they think theres money in a new vtm game theyll do it
Not clear yet how they're gonna tie V5 (the new edition) to the old one, exactly. There's talk about elders (Sabbat in greater numbers) being called to the middle east by some unnatural force but that's it so far
>Jack knows you are playing the game for the second time
Fucking bullshit
Huh, didn't know WW got bought out, but:
>paradox realizing the difference between the two games
>paradox believing the public capable to notice the difference
>paradox not going for maximum money by shilling their newer game in spite of fan support
doubt.jpg
If all goes to plan, Q2 2019.
>The two games
What're you talking about user
low key hoping for a grand strategy game where you play as an ante, controlling your clan and leading it to greatness (and eventually eating them)
>No proofs
Masquerade and Requiem.
>(and eventually eating them)
Top kek. At timeline end, all ante awaken and the game score is determined by total blood of your clan. Would play.
Why would Paradox give a fuck about Requiem? They own White Wolf, not Onyx Path.
What is the best clan and why is it Assamite?
>Young baby Assamite, not turned black yet
Embarrassing
Because they help the second best clan.
How does he find out?
From theonyxpath.com
>We are the licensed publisher for White Wolf’s tabletop RPG settings: the Chronicles of Darkness, the Classic World of Darkness, and Exalted.
>White Wolf’s tabletop RPG setting
I'm pretty sure that means Onyx Path can publish official material, but WW still owns everything and anything branded WoD would need their ok (and so paradox's).
>my intelligent twin brother
I'm not sure exactly because it was a long time ago, but I think he just says he always had his suspicions and when he tells you that LaCroix doesn't want you in the building and you refuse to go, that's when he says that you're probably the one who killed Chunk.
I only did that in one of my games so I don't remember it exactly. Can't bring myself to kill Chunk again.
>cant bring myself to kill chunk
Good, even in my low humanity playthroughs im as nice to him as possible
If you end up fighting the sheriff, Chunk dies no matter what you do.
How???
>people think there wont be a sequel
>when Paradox already said they will make one "when the time is right"
That could be 100 years form now at which point it really doesnt matter since I will be dead by then.
People were saying that when the Sheriff turns into the Chiropteran Behemoth, that he throws cars and bodies at you. I haven't had this happen to me for a while because I usually kill him pretty quickly, probably never gets a chance to do it, but just because one of the bodies has the same model as Chunk doesn't mean it's him.
When you fight the Tzimisce Creation in the sewers the first time, there are a bunch of dead bodies around that it can throw and some of them have the same model as Chunk too.
It's changed sice WW started doing shit again; they're only finishing the books they've already got planned and they're done with WW licensed shit i think.
I can think of a bunch of legitimate reasons to justify not making it right now. At least they want to make it. They wouldn't buy ww and do nothing with the ip's.
Have you all checked the wiki to see who the prince of your city is?
Neither my city nor Stuttgart, the biggest city near me, have an entry on the wiki related to V:tM, unfortunately
No Idea, maybe Vlad controls this country?
>tfw 4th generation prince
Also this guy
>prince of your city
As in, Camarilla? Pretty sure there isn't one. Venice is the Giovanni's capital, so the bossman is whoever rules the clan. Sooo, Ignatius? Is Uncle Augie still awake?
BROTHER KANKER, THEY CALL ME
Well chunck does say he has 6 brothers that are security guards and his father too.
>and b)- the world ended about a year later
???
Gehenna happened and the world ended but a world exactly the same as before was created right after so noone noticed.
V5, my man
What did you mean by that?
>Requiem is shit compared to Masquerade
Be that as it may, CofD Hunter and Changeling shit on their oWoD counterparts.
I didn't know it was a thing. Apparently we had two, Dionysius and Peisistratos.
What do you think Dracula would think if he saw his castle in ruins like it is today? Him being Tzimisce and all.
If I had money I would buy it.
How do I unlock clan Chocula?
I actually agree. I generally like nWoD well enough, it's specifically Requiem and the bullshit it wreaked upon the clans that I dislike.
A Tzimisce could easily turn you into an egg if you asked
True but Hunters Hunted is better than them both
Vlad had several castles
If Games Workshop, the jewiest company on earth, can license a game they had killed off a year prior then I don't see why White Wolf would get picky. They're bleeding money and it's not like the offers are flooding in.
>just want VtMB in virtual reality
All for VV's lap dance?
The problem with VtM is that it tries so hard to be edgy and dark it comes off as silly and childish, as if Warhammer 40K tried to be dead serious.
I would rather like if he turned me into a tentacle monster.
VtM is as dark as you want it to be though- doesn't have to be that dark at all
>Chunk's entire family is dead and he doesn't even know it
;_;
No shit professor. That's part of the charm
>as if Warhammer 40K tried to be dead serious
That's all 40k tries to be. The last time it had a hint of irony was sometime in the late 90s
>general
V5 is the new edition of V:tM in development. Gehenna didn't happen yet
Not the same thing. Vampire isn't dead, it got rebooted. GW had nothing to push in place of WHFB, whereas WW/OP have Requiem to push in place of Masquerade.
Considering VtMB's story doesn't lend itself to a true sequel, there would be no reason whatsoever for a new game to be made in Masquerade rather than Requiem, especially considering that the majority of people exposed to both settings prefer Masquerade (and those who prefer Requiem almost invariably do so because of the mechanics rather than the lore), so it would be in the publisher's interest to avoid rousing more interest in a game that makes the current line look bad.
