shoot yourself in the back of the head so your family doesnt know its a suicide

Why do you have Pokemon Red and Gold's release dates as 1998 and 2000 when they came out in 1996 and 1999 just like SMW came out in 1990?

Not op but why are you so upset friend? It's an interesting idea for a thread.

I fear OP is to intelligent to get what you are saying

Every game that you enjoyed? Cause if so, it's a pretty solid list

...

pretty good except for
>2016
>2013
>2011
>2009
>2008
>2006

Super Mario World was released in Japan in 1990. Pokemon Red/Blue and Pokemon Gold/Silver were released in Japan in 1996 and 1999. OP got the release dates for the two Pokemon games wrong.

>pokemon gold 2000
>pokemon red 1998
>tmnt 4 1991
>smw 1990

you are all over the place. smw was 90 in japan, tmnt was 91 in arcades, the pokemon games in 00/98 were stateside. have some consistency my man

2005: Chibi-Robo
2004: Yume Nikki
2003: Kirby Air Ride
2002: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4. I have no doubt that Jet Set Radio Future would replace it if I ever had the chance to play the game.

>1991 - Super Mario World (U.S. release date)
>1992 - The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (again, U.S. release date...gonna keep this consistent)
>1993 - SimCity 2000
>1994 - Final Fantasy VI (or III, rather)
>1995 - Super Mario World: Yoshi's Island (sorry Chrono Trigger)
>1996 - Super Mario 64
>1997 - Final Fantasy VII (honorable mentions include Mario Kart 64 and Riven: The Sequel to Myst)
>1998 - The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
>1999 - Star Wars Episode I Racer (The Mac version, even if it came out a bit later. Had trouble thinking of 1999 games I played.)
>2000 - Pokémon Gold (because it made the biggest impression at the time. Majora's Mask and Deus Ex are great contenders though).
>2001 - The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons (many notable candidates)
>2002 - Super Mario Sunshine (I guess. I had trouble thinking of one for 2002)
>2003 - SimCity 4
>2004 - Evil Genius
>2005 - Psychonauts
>2006 - Wii Sports (again, impressions count even if there was a lot of great stuff that year)
>2007 - I Wanna Be The Guy
>2008 - Braid
>2009 - Batman: Arkham Asylum (honorable mention to Scribblenauts)
>2010 - VVVVVV
>2011 - Portal 2
>2012 - Retro City Rampage (again, I didn't have a lot of options as far as 2012 went, it was that or Katawa Shoujo)
>2013 - The Shivah (the "Kosher Edition", which was the remake, again, a little light on "2013 games I actually played")
>2014 - Five Nights at Freddy's (Throwaway year. See above. Really, though, 2012-2014 weren't great as far as games went.)
>2015 - Prison Architect
>2016 - INSIDE

Yeah, I suppose I didn't stick to the actual rules. I was trying to stick to US release dates.. But it's my list so I don't really care.

Why is being retro or pixel bad? They're legit great games on their own.

You can't English.

2017 (so far) - Nier Automata

1997-2005 is all extremely hard to choose, after that it became a struggle. Only a few years 2006-2016 were tough choices. Some were hard to choose for opposite reason, "which game did I kind of enjoy the most" very few left a lasting impact on me.

Last Guardian was way too glitchy. Jak and Daxter is a good pick, Jak 2 is not.

Okay, this guy knows what's up. DKC2 is better than Yoshi's Island though.

Oh shit dude I remember Little King's Story. I borrowed it from a buddy for a while and holy jeez was it fun.
I wish I wasn't so jaded these days and games like that would reignite that spark in me to play games again.

Ah fuck you OP, i will not update this shit since the year i was born

just imagine inserted doom in every year since 1993

guy who made the list, I'm inclined to agree. I like Yoshi's Island, but in all honesty I prefer DKC2.

Kid Icarus Uprising? That games shitty controls keep it away. Spiderman is a great choice though.

yeah but the phisical pain i felt just made the fucking ball busting dificulty of the later stages that more satisfying
>chapter 21 and 22
Absolute the best thing nintendo ever made.

>Ghost Trick

Good taste

>Donkey Kong County
>county

sounds like a pretty short game user

Alright giving this shit a shot. You better give me (You)s Sup Forums. I'm not doing this for my fucking health!

1995: Chrono Trigger

1993: Doom
1992: Sonic the Hedgehog 2
1991: The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
1990: Super Mario World
1989: Sword of Vermilion
1988: Super Mario Bros 3
1987: Final Fantasy
1986: The Legend of Zelda
1985: Ultima IV: Quest of the Avatar

2004 was the first year I read through doing this list where I was legit torn on several titles. Until then I had the opposite problem and just crammed in whatever I was playing that year despite not enjoying it that much.

There are way more games than that though.
