Every costume is the exact same, except they only wear the full mask on and the rest of the costume is an underwear version of the costume
On the PC version the Bag-Man, 2099, Scarlet Spider, Ben Reilly, Quick Change, and Peter Parker suits all have unique models.
Bag-Man has the bag, 2099 has his spikes, Scarlet Spider has the shooters and leg pouches, Reilly has the shooters, the other two have modeled jackets and jeans, and Parker has a modeled face.

Plus some have different abilities, and its easier to just divy it up by suits so you can choose a couple to have at once.
The reason why theres a graphical increase is because the PC port is based on the Dreamcast port.
Meanwhile, no one figured out repacking for WoS and we still have to use Texmod. Shit sucks.

Spider-Man 2 seems actually surprisingly easy to mod textures for, in that the textures are actually UV'd in such a way that you can tell what the fuck you're doing.

It's the jerry-rigged way to texture modding. Half the download links out there come with malware, the spiritual successor to it is a mess and I never managed to force WoS to run windowed with it.

you get visual in game access to all the textures and you can save them to a format that keeps all the information without having to unpack containers and decrypt uncommon image files, what's finicky about it?
I got my version from the original source and it's clean, not sure if you're referring to the fact that no matter what some AV will either pick it up as malware or block its functions as floating injector, but it's been confirmed more than once by various competent sources to be a false positive when the exe itself gets picked as MW and that it's a normal thing for its action to be detected as malicious by some AV because it behaves exactly like one, injecting non verified modified files onto others in the RAM.
But once you get rid of those issues(most of the times adding a simple exception for the exe and its actions is enough), if the results are the same as other more direct ways, I don't see what there is to complain.
I'd understand if it could only rip diffuse maps, or if it couldn't extract alpha channels, or if you couldn't directly use the format the textures are extracted to, but it's not the case, and it can be used on any game using DX9 without even having to wonder if there is a direct way to extract textures

If you used the short-coated version from Shattered Dimensions rather than the trenchcoat-wearing version from the original comic, sure. Modeling a goddamned trenchcoat for Spidey Noir would be a nightmare to pull off on Neversoft's THPS/Spidey engine, if not outright impossible.

No, actually. The monster Ock one is that, the others are literally playing as the NPC, which is why they're so broken, as they cant perform the same actions.
It uses the same engine as the old Pro Skater games from the N64 era, anyone know if those games have been modded to any extent? Could use that as a base to build on.
