Why do people hate pic related with a burning passion? I don't get it. What bad have they done?
Why do people hate pic related with a burning passion? I don't get it. What bad have they done?
Because they are shills.
They just hate a site that offers better discounts than other stores.
My friend doesn't use them because hes afraid he will get a stolen key
A lot of the keys they sell are the proceeds of credit card fraud, they sell insurance on your purchases that protects you from such events even though standard practice is that they take responsibility for people scamming on their platform free of charge. Oh and if you happen to buy that insurance by accident it's hell on earth to cancel it.
They offer content that is a product of theft and fraud and you have to be part of a protection racket in order to try to have any measure of safety.
If you buy anything from them you run the risk of steam, gog or whatever platform the key is for invalidating it and taking the game away.
Because millennial Gaymers want to white knight for their corporate overlords especially when their limey accented handlers like Jim Sterling and Total Biscuit tell them too
Only Redditors hate them
Steamdrones and GOGdrones, user. Faggots are corporate ballsuckers, a taste of console community on the PC.
unlike piracy, buying games from this company actively takes money out of the pockets of devs
Bought games from them plenty
Yeah some were revoked, Customer Service refunded my money months after purchase and I NEVER have bought shield
Don't be a moron about it and you should be fine
If you are an idiot who can avoid the shield bullshit or cant tell which sellers are legit then buy your games from steam
Good
Devs are greedy assholes trying to make a buck out of a medium that should be done with appreciation and love, not corporate greed
Indie devs claim that people use stolen credit cards to mass purchase keys for their games and then sell them on G2A. However, there still is no proof, and none of the people making the accusations have actually taken up G2A's offer to work with them to refund those allegedly stolen keys. So now it's become a meme just to call them shit.
I bought a key from them, and instead they gave me a burner PSN account. I refuted it with my bank, and refunded though
What? I exclusively bought my Steam games from them to save money and I got about 5 revoked games and every time I complain they refused to do anything. Never bought shield as well.
Now I'd rather spend the extra 10 dollars and buy my games on Steam.
Are you trying to convince me to buy from then?
Take money out of greedy devs is actually a pro.
I would rather pay a few extra dollars to never have to deal with customer service or give incentive to the thieves who sell product there or allow the sale of those products.
It doesn't. Unlike piracy, the devs do get money.
Maybe they think you are a loser and don't deserve a refund
Never had a problem myself, they just ask for proof by showing that the game was revoked on my account and it was all good, got my money back
i've never bought from there, but i have a friend who did a few times. one of the keys got his origin account locked. g2a refunded his purchase. don't know if ea ever unlocked his account though.
More power to you
Id rather avoid sucking Gabes cock and will gladly buy a product that "fell off the back of a truck" so to speak as long as its cheaper
This is video games huh?
>no proof
You should do some googling, kid.
Also I used to RM at Gamestop and would open boxes and sell the keys on ebay before G2A was a thing. There have been plenty of people banned on steam as well for G2A and CDkeys keys(try and disprove me while searching that there is "no proof").
To be clear so their is no confusion here, places like G2A and Kinguin don't sell the keys themselves
All they are doing is providing a market for others to do so, just like in a real swap meet you have to be a savvy shopper to know when there is a deal or if the person your dealing with is reputable
Why the fuck is their no indignation with EBay? Its exactly the same thing
That's pretty damn funny when you're just taking sloppy seconds and still directly supporting his platform while running the risk of getting locked out of your account all because you're literally that poor.
If your money is that tight you might want to get off your ass and make a little for a change.
>You should do some googling kid
Well, when I was actually a kid in highschool, we were taught that if we want to make an argument, we provide proof. Since I see no proof and nothing but ad hominem in your post, I'm going to assume you're nothing more than a faggot.
publisher shills hate it, that is all.
I hate publishers for bullshit regional pricing, so I don't care about their cries.
Not worth the hassle to get an invalid, redeemed, stolen, or one for some other game than what you purchased. Customer servvice typically will refund, but a couple friends claim they never got a refund after buying a key for a game and receiving some key for random DLC.
>still directly supporting his platform
Nope
>running the risk of getting locked out of your account
Dumbass
>literally that poor
Projecting
Its really no surprise that you post a le meme frog reaction image as well
Because their favorite e-celeb told them to hate it. G2A is great
There was, just like 17 years ago, it was from retailers saying you could get stolen/damaged/counterfeit merchandise and that it was bad to shop online, especially at sites like eBay or Yahoo Auctions.
This bullshit from publishers now is just as bullshit as it was from retailers then.
The only people who dislike pepe are plebbit and early jumpers frm the flaming wreck that is neogassed, get rekt
Personal opinions, conjectures, and anecdotes are not an argument dipshit
I buy codes from G2A and trade them with randos on Reddit.
You definitely studied up on ED and Know your Meme
Congrats
kek
These are all things that happen when you buy keys from G2A. Just facts. They're unlikely, but still a higher chance than buying a game from steam or GOG.
>These are all things that happen when you buy keys
Period
??? As if people in this thread aren't implying all key sites when they mean G2A. G2A is just the most popular one.
That goes for Humble Bundle, Bundle Stars, Green man gaming and the other "legit" sites as well is all I'm saying
I've rarely if ever heard of people having they're games revoked from hunble, GMG, etc. If they did I'd assume it would be a lot easir to get a refund or a new valid key.
Any proof, legit curious. I have probably 150 keys from humble bundles and never had an issue.
don't they sell wow gold?
I've bought 4 games off G2A, all without Shield and all have worked fine.
The only ones that complain about G2A are devs or Digital Service fanboys. I'll buy from whoever sells it cheaper. Sometimes, that happens to be G2A. Thats a free market economy for you :)
I don't know, maybe because they bought skyrim 3 times and are jealous of people buying games with a discount.
People are stupid, and buy from shitty sellers.
I've been using them and Kinguin for several years without issue.
>buy key for AAA title that launched yesterday for $5 from a seller with 0 feedback
>shocked that the key gets revoked
>I wuz robbed, I wuz robbed!
If you manage to get a bogus key on G2A, you're a fucking retard and have nobody to blame but yourself.
Game dev here.
Don't put "legit" in quotations, I have my game on each of those sites you mentioned, each one I personally talked with before hand, each get their Steam keys directly from me and they all give me more per sale than Steam does.
Meanwhile it's also on G2A with keys acquired from god knows where, I get nothing directly from them and I'm in a position where even if I wanted to go through the rigmarole of tracking and disabling keys (assuming G2A would even tell me which they sell) I'm just punishing some poor person while the site and the seller keeps the money unless the buyer bought into their protection shit.
This. Granted I don't buy games upon release.
imagine you have a taco shop, and then other people come in and sell you stolen tacos that you then sell to everyone else and then one of those stolen tacos ends up giving food poisoning to one of your customers and then no one uses your taco stand ever again and you go out of business
is that what you want?
t. poorfag in denial
What are the odds that a key I buy from G2A is stolen anyway? Everything on their is super cheap but I'm scared I might have it revoked or even worse, have my account deleted
I've had a couple of cases where a key didn't work, but the seller always followed through and got me a working one. The bigger issue is that a lot of the market may be criminally-obtained keys (I sure fucking hope those Steam ban stories ITT are exaggerated).
devs are not publishers
