Just downloaded My Summer Car and I really like how in-depth the construction and engine shit are. I'd like something with a bit more gameplay though, or just to see some discussion of other games with really deep mechanics, like Dwarf Fortress or C:DDA
Sorry I'm retarded.
Logan Cox
I'm just gonna self-bump for a bit. I've never played it, but I've heard good things about Rimworld, especially in terms of colonists have the capacity to go all sorts of insane.
Jacob Bell
Space Station 13 has a shit ton of deep mechanics in it. I'm scared to do anything but play janitor or assistant at the moment
Grayson Hernandez
Bumping you post with one or two MSC pics
Evan Young
>I'd like something with a bit more gameplay though Jalopy is kinda like a dumbed-down MSC. You'll lose some of the features you like in MSC and the gameplay isn't the most exciting but it is something I think you would like. The two compliment each other well.
Ayden Adams
Escape from tarkov for gun autism and fairly complex damage model. Rimworld is good too, especially with the hardcore sk mod.
Michael Johnson
I've looked at Jalopy a bit too. All it's done is make me think that my ideal game is some kind of weird cross between MSC's mechanics, Escape From Tarkov's gun customization, and STALKER's setting and atmosphere. Unfortunately no such thing seems to exist though.
Charles Cruz
Did you pre-order Escape From Tarkov? I was thinking about it, but I've mostly been hearing mixed things, and I'm not sure my computer could run it.
Robert Jones
I'm waiting until the open beta to actually try it out since I heard it was a bit rough right now. But so far it looks like everything I'm looking for in an fps.
Lucas Phillips
I like the sound of Russia 2028 a bit more, but I don't know how far off that is.
Lucas Hernandez
Thanks for the mentioning of Escape from Tarkov and Russia 2028
Got them on my radar now. Do we know when the open beta of Tarkov will drop?
Robert Wood
The closed beta already started. Not sure about the open one.
Elijah Moore
Aurora
Oliver Taylor
I read your question wrong and gave you information you already knew, my bad.
Dylan Ramirez
nah it's cool, senpai
all good info
Jason Diaz
I'm too stupid for Aurora. I watched Mandalore's video about it and that was all the information I needed to be sure.
Lucas Wilson
get ready for the jankiest eastern bloc experience imaginable.
Dominic Price
the GWX mod for Silent Hunter 3
Aiden Morales
The game takes forever to really get to anything and I can see that putting some people off. I've probably played around 10 hours and have only just started colonizing Mars. It's fairly simple so far since I'm just moving ships around but I imagine combat ramps up how much you need to do. That and if you choose to actually make custom ships or weapons since that requires you to be in a spreadsheet for probably multiple hours.
John Roberts
has there been alot of updates to my summer car? any chance of it leaving ea anytime soon?
Ryan Peterson
I just don't think I've got enough imagination for it, you know? The games I grew up with usually had graphics. The only exception I've found is Cataclysm, and I think that's only because the ASCII seems so clear in denoting shapes and objects.
Justin Mitchell
How's the weapon customization?
Asher Long
I really wanted to like 7.62 but the RTWP gameplay just doesn't mesh with me. I'm more of a turn based fan and it just feels off to me. I had the same problem with Marauder.
James Wilson
X-COM probably fits.
Benjamin Nguyen
I used to play a lot of MSC but the addition of random parts breaking really turned me off. I get being annoying is a big part of the game, but that crossed the line for me.
Jeremiah Miller
Maintenance is fine as long as it's realistic. But random shit doesn't just break that often if you're taking good care of whatever equipment you're using, so it happening in the game is kinda fucked.
Luke Clark
>a bit more gameplay though buy the game and play the test branch, there's tons of shit to do and it's worth it
Luis Green
The parts in your garage are worn out shit to start with, because they're probably the original 20 year old parts. If you buy new ones when you first build the car, and you don't abuse the engine (running it high RPM when it's cold, letting it run without adequate fluids, etc) they take forever to wear down. and they don't just break randomly.
Ethan Morales
That's good to know. I've never had anything break randomly on me before, I was just assuming it happened from what that user said. These Fins know what's good.
Christian Peterson
>want to play again >realize dev won't add a RW drive vehicle for us to work on >no qt drift game alas
Justin Torres
it's not won't, can't. Unity is already bursting at the seams with what game is in this. My Winter Car is going to be a separate game. I imagine that'll probably be a RWD
Jose Sanders
Anyone else wish that My Summer Car could have a spin off that's basically the same thing but it takes place in a comfy little area in Alaska/Maine in winter? Imagine; >vr support so you can browse the internet in your virtual bedroom at night >the same autism they used for the cars put into some guns so you can go hunting, reload your own cartridges, and do weapon maintenance >occasionally getting snowed in so you can spend a whole day inside just working on your house, guns, and car
William Gutierrez
Man, I'd like some good virtual handloading and weapons maintenance real bad. You're giving me nostalgia for something I've never even experienced.
Gabriel Hughes
feels bad. guess I'll just wait for that release. msc is such a fun game to fuck around with, but even a small change like more npcs, traffic and drifting could really improve the experience.
Anthony Ortiz
SAU-SU-GAHSS
Jonathan Cook
When is my fall/winter car
Hudson Scott
>tfw i finally got my car built and running but died on the first test drive
Jose Cooper
>getting it all put together >tuning it >that first gas run >getting it registered good times
