BLIZZARD!
BLIZZARD!
You don't get dupes anymore unless all youre missing is what you want
Pay up goyim
Wait, no more dupes? Nice i'll start playing again when i get a new gpu
Pay up buddy. Only a few more days before the skins are gone for another year.
And remember, we have the best microtransactions in the industry as said by every media site and youtuber.
I haven't gotten a single fucking Halloween skin. Tempted to just get the Viking Torb skin with gold but then I can't get the Mei skin.
It's the preferable system. I know there's a big uproar over microtransactions right now but there's nothing harmful about cosmetic only lootboxes. People aren't crying about it in TF2 right now.
Feels like they decreased legendary drop rate though.
I like how this was blatantly done to restrict the amount of gold people got from box drops, which makes box purchases more imperative to get event skins, but they presented it like it was them being nice to the community.
no more dupes but i get even more useless shit now. THANKS KAPLAN!
ITT Bargaining
I mean, some of the emotes actually have gameplay uses, but yeah mostly just cosmetic.
>decide to get on tonight
>literally every match has a aimbot
>fuckers are instant locking everyone
>on both teams people bitching
>7 matches in a row
Yea, I'm so over this game.
>some of the emotes actually have gameplay uses
such as
I don't care. I payed for a full priced game for all of the content on the disc. It's not fair to charge me again for the game I just bought.
not him but sit emote is good for hiding.
Except you still fucking do.
a lot of the sitting emotes see gameplay usage for flanking characters.
Junkrats is legitimately a must equip because of the options it opens up on defense.
What decade are you from? Because it certainly isn't this decade where paid DLC has been commonplace for awhile now.
The Age of the Goy is gone...
You can easily get all the skins by simply playing the game and saving coins before the event even starts. I stopped playing in March and had like 12 000 coins when I stopped because I got bored of the game. I also have all the Winter skins + the New Years skins and I didn't spend any money on loot boxes.
>tfw you will never feel this thicc ass pulsate around your cock
Why even live
diddy kong racing, zelda, mother
>You can easily get all the skins by simply playing the game and saving coins before the event even starts.
Not after this
Unless you have a thousand+ hours played and can literally only get dupes.
Plus, you'd need 24000 gold to get all the new event skins, around 30k if you didn't have the skins from last halloween, and you probably wouldn't be able to grind that gold up unless you play almost constantly, because dupe gold reward totals are super low.
flanking volskia industries for point B as Junkrat
Where do you use it there?
I use it to hide behind the counter in the bombed out building with the healthpack by offense spawn on eichenwald a lot. People run in to go up the stairs and I pop up and smash them.
>Not after this
Not after what? What did they change?
Sit emote lets you see around corners
follow the red text in the post.
They reduced dupe rates in boxes, which made gold drop rates diminish massively for everyone except players who have essentially all the basic items.
Before, the amount of boxes that would consistently get you about 1000 gold might get you 100 or less unless you get specifically a gold box.
I meant gold drop, not gold box at the end there.
I haven't touched Battle.net in months. Feels good.
At least we can launch games without it.
I'm pretty convinced that they've fucked with the drops this year. Five legendaries and the only Halloween one I get is Dracula Reaper. Shit's suss as fuck.
>ywn feel this pulsate in your cock
ftfy
Didn't they increase gold rewards too?
I don't believe anyone has any doubt they've fucked with drop rates quite a bit. There was a noticeable decline either just before or when they launched the Chinese New Year event. They attributed it to people not being lucky all the time, but considering just how many people said it, it's almost certain they lowered it.
>it
Legendary drop rates that is.
nature was a mistake
>Finally hit level 200 after not playing for awhile
>Excited to finally get the skin I want because of the basically free lootboxes you get when the levels reset
>THEY FUCKING REMOVED IT
WHY
>been doing a couple QP and maxing out Junkenstein boxes
>gotten 3 orange skins so far
I got some sort of pumpkin edgelord for Reaper, the Dr. Junkenstein outfit and a firefighter outfit for Mei.
Might have to break out that $100 double buy so I can properly experience Overwatch
Smurfs I'm guessing.
They increased chance of straight gold drops slightly, but they are still so scarce that the net reduction in gold gains is massive. You gained more gold from dupes out of 20 boxes than you likely would by drops the vast majority of the time before the fix.
Gold earned by dupes did not change values.
There's some speculation they also really fucked with the chance of legendary dupes during that event.
That and uprising. There were a lot of people reporting getting the same legendary drop 5+ times in a row.
TL;DR: Jews
>And remember, we have the best microtransactions in the industry as said by every media site and youtuber.
But they do. It's literally the best case scenario for this kind of thing.
All meaningful content is free, cosmetics are locked in lootboxes that can also be gotten for free, and you don't even get duplicates anymore.
nice redditspacing you cocksucker
if you read the thread, there actually is a gameplay reason for using some of the drop content, and the no dupe thing was a net negative that incentivizes box purchasing during events.
They also are moving the old event skins into the new events rather than moving them to the standard drop pool simply because it stretches the odds of getting the new skins MASSIVELY, which just pushes people to buy more boxes.
No, no it's not. Even Heroes of the Storm, a game one pace away from it in the Launcher (unless you move them around), has a better loot box system.
>Legendary shit isn't absurdly rare
>It's really easy to amass a TON of loot boxes relatively quickly
>Pump out heroes very regularly, which is another pile of free Loot Boxes if you push them up a few levels since the EXP curve on them is still low
>Better skins than Overwatch, including on Overwatch characters
>Only real downsides to the game are it's a MOBA and one that makes League of Legends look complex
That happened ages ago.
Basically players weren't playing between events, just leveling up to just short of every hundred then waiting for the next even to reap the easy lootboxes.
the use for sit emotes is a niche unintended thing
for all intended intents and purposes, emotes are cosmetic
>Decrease amount of dupes
>Less coins to buy what you want
yeah but cosmetics in a MOBA are garbage tiny things you can barely see. They're way easier to make and far more irrelevant.
they changed it because people would get exactly 100, 200, etc and sit there until an event started so they could get more event loot boxes.
because blizzard wants people playing their game they changed it so that on repeats 1-100 takes slightly less exp to go 1-100 but every level takes the same amount of exp
so basically
Just got overwatch as a gift and this seemed to be a decent thread to ask: is it supposed to be fucking insufferable to try and figure out if someone is on your team or not?
Everybody has some sort of clownsuit on and the only indicator seems to be a 1px thick red outline on the enemy team.
Whether or not the gameplay uses were intentional has zero bearing on the fact that they do have gameplay uses and are highly incentivized for some characters to get them.
I have a mighty need
>He's never been decked out in all green sitting in a bush in the Viet Vale
Tracer can blink while emoting for some reason, works with sit too
>was able to grind gold to get what I want
>Now I either get RNG or play 100+ hours to get one thing
Oh thank you for being so kind!!
I'm not sure I've ever had this problem, are you color blind? Turn that mode on
>"Whoever came up with this sheer fisting of an encounter can go fuck themselves. Do me a favor so I don't waste my guild's time on this kind of jackass shit-fest again, send me an email at [email protected] when you decide to A) Implement an encounter that wasn't designed by a retarded chimp chained to a cubicle A.)Get a Quality Assuarance Department C) Actually beta test the fucking thing and D) Patch it live. And please for god's sake -- do it in the order I laid out for you. Don't worry, I won't charge you a consulting fee on that one. And for good luck you might as well E) Pull your heads out of your asses. While you're at it rename the game to BetaQuest since you've used up you're alotted false advertising karma on the Bazaar and user interface scam of '01.Fix the Emperor encounter. Fix Seru. Rethink your time-sink bullshit. Fix all the buggy motherfucking ring encounters (I suggest you let whoever made the Burrower one do this since that dude apparently laid off the crack the rest of you were smoking). Fix the VT key quest. Fix VT (just guessing it's fucked up considering your track record). Don't have the resources to fix this stuff? Move the ENTIRE Planes of Power team over to fixing Shadows of Luclin AND DO IT NOW. If you don't fix Luclin, you jackassess will be the only ones playing the Planes of Power."
>be blizz
>fans complaining about not getting the items they want during Origins event
>getting tons of duplicate voice lines and sprays
>Don't worry fans, we will make it so that you get lose duplicate items
>it's actually now harder to get the gold to buy what you want during an event
they really are sneaky cunts. They made the lootbox system worse for people that don't buy them while getting praised for helping the fanbase
Considering the gross oversights and fuck ups they do while balancing, I'm almost willing to believe that the lootbox change was indeed supposed to be benevolent. But they fucked it up by not considering that the new system ONLY benefits new players who'd have gotten only few dupes anyway.
>le reddit spacing meme xD
How new are you, this shits been around for years
Nah.
An insane amount of market research goes into every decision that makes them money; entire teams of people would be having meetings and doing vast amounts of statistical analysis regarding the number of loot boxes to sell in packs, what prices to sell them at, what to set the drop-rate for legendary skins at, what number of boxes you need to open before the game gives you a pity drop, etc. in an attempt to wring the most money out of people while making sure they continue to play the game.
The people balancing the game is probably just Kaplan and a few interns, Blizzard really couldn't give less of a shit unless their changes are offensive enough that it makes people stop playing.
If you want this argument to be one of extremes sure you can look at it that way. If you want to actually avoid just a shouting match you can look at Shadow Of War and understand that even in a scummy system like loot boxes there is a way to do it that doesn't detract from the game. Overwatch has such a system.
Fucking hope to god they completely jew out and add lootboxes to WoW.
Time to sink the ship.
