So you are not talking about gameplay because fusion feels the same(well some balance tweaks with be magazines) but otherwise movement feels smoother.
Besides, bfe also runs better on fusion.

TSE sometimes felt way too big while I appreciated the levels got bigger as you went on TFE.
BFE would be lower but it gets so good once you get out of the city.

It's not exactly a straight up improvement. I find dealing with some enemies easier in classic than HD and vice versa. Also graphically there are some differences. It's a matter of taste

They did some massive improvements in terms of AI, graphics and gameplay but on the other hand there are countless issues with it like black blood, odd enemy behaviour, questionable sound replacements, lower draw distance, etc.
Not to mention all the stuff they want to add/change in the release version that we probably won't see in the next few years judging by the speed they're working on it.
