Why does Sup Forums actually believe this?
>Sup Forums defending dead rising 4
since when?
No one likes DR4. OTR’s story mode vs free play mode is a better example and I have no goddamn idea why they never put that in another game
Fallout 1 is the best entry in the series because of its time limit.
Only numales like the sandbox/carnival quality of FO2 and FONV
I don't think Sup Forums has ever believed that. Not many people do, considering how 4 bombed.
>I don't think Sup Forums has ever believed that.
Sup Forums literally complains about FO1's time limit, so you're wrong.
>Sup Forums is one person
>adding turn limits makes a game better
YES

time limit takes player's freedom of choosing his pace of the game
said no one ever
>we want the walking dead audience
Off the Record is on sale right meow. Is it worth it if I never played DR2?
I think it comes down to personal preference. Unless I'm playing something like a race game I don't like to be rushed.
Time limit in an open world game is retarded.
Who the fuck said that? It absolutely doesn't work like that. I'm a huge dickrider for arcade and arcade-style games and I love shit like THPS for example that forces you to learn what the fuck you're doing in two minute chunks.
It does, it gives a sense of urgency to an event. It makes your adrenaline skyrocket and the moment it hits last second and that amazing feeling once you actually complete it at the very cusp of defeat is almost addictive. It's even better when you go and shatter previous attempts by completing the same or similar objectives much faster than before.
I don't like time limits, so yes I believe removing them makes a game better. Maybe because I'm not a pathetic virgin that replaces real life competition and adrenaline like in sports with videogames.
If you think the only thing worth complaining about is the time limits, you have no idea how bad this game actually is.
FO1 time limit is absurdly long even unpatched, since most settlements only need one visit to do all the content. 13 to SS to 15 to SS to Khans to SS to JT to Hub to Necropolis to 13 is like 80 days max and is the most natural route. And the 500 days of the second limit is a big joke, since the second half is just 13 to LH to Glow to LH to Mariposa to LH to BY to 13 and thats it kids.
I mean, it adds a negative to the strategy from the first game that had no negatives.
People still freak out about it - and you're also talking from experience. Nobody knows how much is in FO1 when they first play it
Also I installed the Fixt invasion patch, and Boneyard got fucked up early on.
Maybe that's kind of the entire point of the game? If you can't handle a game like Dead Rising I'm sure there's other games more up to your speed, like Lego Star Wars or something.
It worked for Pikmin 2.
Literally this. Exactly like Dark Souls and Cuphead, quit trying to squeeze out our fun you fucking faggot crybabies.
>wah wah i can't do everything because i'm under pressure from the time limit!!!1
>"We, The developers, think the most fun way to play the game is to run and gun."
>"Since the game is turnbased, most players decided the most effective way to play the game would to slowly go from cover to cover making sure they never took unnecessary risks."
>"We don't think this is fun though, so we decided to force players to play the game how we like to play it."
Adding times to XCOM was admitting they can't make a fun game.
This would have been like Obsidian admitting that gunplay in 3d fallout sucked ass, so instead of trying to fix it, they just force you to only use melee or unarmed.
Yes, its a decent game.
2 is alright on its own, but OTR is just better for Frank alone.
Chuck just wasn't as interesting.
DESU. Why is it that after DR1 the entire series started to literally avalanche? Is it because Inafune was always a hack fraud? Canucks were trying too hard to be funny?
>There's an alternate universe out there where Dead Rising 2 follows the plot line of Carlito's Orphans and you play as Frank West trying to uncover Carlito's plan
>Our universe has a game with annoying 8 year old and zombie medicine
why even live?
