This is what I think as well. As huge of a Zelda fan as I am, I was still content with just letting that ship sail and moving on. With Odyssey, it's completely drawn me in and I want the game more then anything now and has sold me on a Switch. The entire gameplay I was watching and seeing the post game, the boss fights, the different areas I could literally not fathom how Famitsu could only give it a 39/40, it looks absolutely fantastic and it's the most excited I've been for a game in my entire life.

This is probably why Mario acted out of character. Even after all that, she was STILL considering Bowser's proposal. Constantly kidnapping her, constantly attacking her kingdom, people, and sometimes even her, trying to FORCE her to marry him, all of that shit, and her response wasn't a solid no.
