I didn't play it until the technology was old, so I can't say I was impressed by that aspect of it. It was still fun, though.

I just beat it for the first time like a week ago. It was okay at best. All of those segments that people always hyped up to be "that part" like ops pic took like 10 minutes i dont see why it is considered so difficult.

God, I hate the viewmodel for the HL1 magnum.
The illusion that it's pointing at the crosshair is nowhere near convincing. The way it's angled it looks like it'd going to shoot the left side of the screen and not the center.

I feel like I'm not with my own kind.

I love the game but there's something about the sound design that makes me grit my teeth. i don't know what it is but it's like nails on chalkboard. The fucking stomping footsteps everywhere you go, the horrible reverb sound in vents, that horrible fart sound when you hit the use key on something unuseable. I fucking hate it.
Started playing HL2 for the first time in a while and what stuck out there was how fucking bad the writing and voice acting was. It's some seriously cringy shit from everyone involved. The only character with halfway decent dialogue and performance was breen. Everyone else is just cringy as fuck.

I miss games like this so fucking much...

Old tech; 11025khz/22050 8bit mono. However I still find the SFX had more impact than HL2. The HL2 weaponset was some of the weakest sounding weapons in gaming, especially the shotgun & explosions.

What really sucks is that the HL2Beta shotgun actually had some force to it.

Oh the weapons were fine, it was the system and environmental sounds I hated. Though I disagree on all the HL2 weapons. I have a massive soft spot for that handgun that everyone hates for some reason.

Not just that, but OP4 was the literal gold standard of "expansion pack". Built upon an amazing game and added new weapons, monsters and gameplay mechanics (squads, Barnicle grapple, displacer, ect).
