>still
It never was. A better comparison would've been fees for license and registration.

>bum tickley defending paid online

LOL

>$4 per gallon
Thank God it's gone significantly down.

What was he trying to convey here?

Sub fee's are really not a big deal desu. Not that common and you know what you are getting when you pay. They also cost less than the typical night / day out so you can get a lot of mileage out of them.

Comic is retarded though and in 2017+1 DLC and microtransaction / loot boxes are the current hot topic.

He got angry when he heard kindergarten kids making fun of Wii Game

Every single one of his comics makes me hate him more.
Gas isn't a part of the car, it's a commodity to keep the car running. Like paying your ISP for the internet connection that lets you play online.

What about OTHER game?

>Hey Lois, remember that time I got beat up by a huge dick?

No, even in places like (((New York))) gas hasn't been over 3$ in years and usually sits at like 2.50/gal.

Never was valid.

Also, why is chad trying to pump gas through his front door?

Is Buckley retarded?

OTHER GAME

Yeah because I clearly don't already pay for internet and electricity on top of the price of the game.

>Compares paying a subscription fee to keep playing a game for entertainment, to gas for your vehicle that you probably require for work or otherwise
I honestly find subscription based games retarded, why do I have to buy the game, and then buy it every month after that?
Most games that do this are MMO's, and I don't really play any MMO's so I couldn't really care, it's just retarded

>Is Buckley retarded?

>Pay for gas
>Current gas runs out
>Need to replace get more gas when current one runs out
Is B^U retarded?

Gassing the vehicle would be more akin to paying for electricity and internet, since both video games and cars require an outside input to remain functional (No power, no games; no gas/electricity, no car).

Essentially you're buying the game itself (though with digital, you don't actually own anything in most EULAs and T&C, just a license to have a copy on your computer), but in order to make full use of the online functionality you're renting use of their server so you're able to play the game fully. It would be more like buying the car so you have the actual body and interior, then renting the tires and engine so that you actually have the experience of driving the car.

Then again, we're looking into Buckley's retardation.

...

>Car cannot run without gas
>Game can run without online/DLC/Whatever the fuck he meant by this
Where's the Food Analogy, F>ckley?

You guys hear about video games?

No what's that?

I believe he's talking about WoW subscriptions.

The reason you pay for both a subscription and the game is like this.

Imagine you go to nice restaurant and you say you want soup. Would you complain when they charge you for the bowl and spoon? Of course not!

REALLY MADE ME THUNK

I mean, the comparison was stupid to begin with, and bum tickley even used an exaggerated caricature of the "xbro" user to further invalidate his own point

That being said, plenty of idiot users pay subscriptions for shit, even if it's not a true to life "pay $X a month" model. Think about all the people who bought into Destiny every time a new expansion was released

To apply to video games you would pay for gas and have a 1:100000 chance of getting gas from a loot box

Some gas is dyed red, some is dyed green.

The rainbow gas sells for $1,000 if you get it from a loot box.

what the fuck are these comics? why are they always so shit?

kek

Why didn't he compare it to a gym subscription? It at least is somewhat comparable

Ctrl-Alt-Del written by Tim Cuckley

>video games are as essential to living as a fucking car

?

>fossil fuel analogy

>filename

Yes, once you're in architecture/engineering getting registrations renewed once a year along with taking exams just to keep your license, it's a pain in the ass.

>title is called mr Johnson
>mfw ctrl alt del made me laugh

filename is funnier than the comic

Dobson should've stayed like this, instead of becoming what he did

I didn't know this whole time I was getting gas I was just paying a subscription fee to keep the gas in my tank and the gauge was just my expiration timer.

>California gas prices

It hurts

My fellow /n/iggers that may be browsing this thread: what metro map is this? Or is it made up?

>$3.99 per gallon
lol

$2.15 right now, and price is falling with summer coming to an end.

Imagine being at computers

Oh jeez, I'm drawn by an amateur.

>Working at a store
>Not on break
>Job is serving customers
>Playing a handheld
>"Minding my own business"

There are times where I think Andy Kaufman is still alive and Dobson is his magnum opus.

$2.25 for me. Though prices hiked as high as $2.80 during Harvey and Irma.

How new

Massachusetts MBTA line.

Thanks user.

>being this cucked by big corporations

If this is actually real it was never valid to begin with. No one (at least, most average video games players) "needs" to play online in vidya. Where as, a car, a near essential piece of technology in modern society, or at least some form of transportation has become necessary to function and get to and from where you need to go every day.

Also gas is used as you use the car, you don't pay for your gas and have it automatically keep draining out of your car. You get to use it as you please. If I had a common fuel efficient car like a Toyota, and I only had to drive twice a week. I might only need to get gas once or twice a month because I dictate when the car gets used.

When it comes to forced online fees for vidya consoles, once you pay for your month you are fucked, you only have that one month you payed for, even if you only played 5 days out of that month, it doesnt matter, your subscription dies. Not only that but you already have to be paying for your regular internet service.

Lastly, PC, the best platform for online play DOES NOT require a separate fee for online play sans massive games like MMO's.

Its not selective argument. Whoever wrote this is stupid

It's around $2.20 here generally. It got as low as $1.40 last year though. That was really nice.

Its around 3 right now in LA, probably could get it sightly cheaper at some stations I know that tend to have cheaper prices. At some point when I finish grad school and my wife finishes nursing school I'm considering moving out of LA. While my home is here, living costs just aren't worth it imo. Considering Oregon or Washington, or maybe Arizona

ALL

When will fat enablers realize "dieting" is a lifestyle change not something that ends when you are at a normal weight? You want to lose weight you have to change your habits. That's why very few people ever do it.

That just blew my mind. It really is Kaufman isn't it?

OF

Haven’t seen Dobson do anything in a while

What’s he doing now? Is he still a beta bitch?

Personally I would've been furiously stroking that controller and licking it as if it were a penis instead but to each their own I guess.
