ITT: Games that nu/v/ memehates
More like shitty games nu/v/ likes because their graphics are shinnier than the better games in the series.
Naw, this game has always been shitted on.
The wallhug thing really fucked the game for me. I still like it tho.

>liking thief 3
everything checks out, op is a faggot
Thief 3 is overhated but let's not get it twisted, it IS a 6.5/10 game that pales in comparison with Gold and 2
I'd say it's at least a 8/10 with the Sneaky Upgrade, honestly I prefer it over Thief 2 despite its issues, robots just aren't fun and the levels can get very tedious.
thi4f made me appreciate this piece of shit more
but it's still a piece of shit
I like the way it closes Garrett's story - it fits to be themed around Keepers - and I think it's not bad with the mods that remove the consolitis.
And it also had Shalebridge Cradle.
It plays worse than the two previous games. It was clearly built with a controller and third person in mind. The movement is very awkward because it tries to account for the third person animations.
With the Sneaky Upgrade mod it actually becomes good.
There is no problem with the movement, it's just that you can see your body in first person, and maybe the animations are throwing you off.
It's a solid 8/10 game. Try playing with Sneaky Upgrade, it's a legit great experience.
>There is no problem with the movement
It's clunky as shit compared to the movement in the first two games and has a much higher potential of getting stuck in geometry.
Thief 3 has just the right amount of jank to expose "I love stealth games!" posers while still being a great game.
>t's just that you can see your body in first person, and maybe the animations are throwing you off.
No, it's there. Like there's a delay for moving right when your body is at an angle, because the game tries to readjust Garrett's body so the third person animation looks more natural.
The movement in the game is factually worse than previous games because those games didn't have that.
Extremely minor issue really.
I actually liked that your body was fully rendered, and instead of seeing what weapon I had equipped on the hud, I could look down and see what Garret had in his hands.
I never said it was perfect. But it's definitely worth a playthrough and you can have a lot of fun with it. Stop being held up by small things mate.

I already played it. Don't backpedal points and pretend like you didn't just lie, saying that there's no delay in movement.
People on Sup Forums hate the game because it fell for the third person meme and the open world meme despite the first two games being amazing without those things.
The movement being shit in a game almost entirely about movement is a minor issue? And that's far from the game's only issue. Though when I originally played it for a bit that mod to remove the loading screens wasn't made so that's one issue gone. I still think the game looks awful in every respect though and I'd probably rather miss out on the couple good levels it has to keep playing fan missions of 1 and 2.
sell me on the sneaky upgrade, faggot
What does it do?
I think its main feature is it removes the loading portals in all the levels so they're one large level like the first two games. Does some misc other stuff though too.
All of them?
Sup Forums doesn't like games. I likes yelling about how one minor detail ruins entire games for them and rage quits because everything single thing isn't absolutely perfect.
It's a collection of different mods, from bugfixes to QoL stuff like better textures and removing loading screens during levels.
It also adds briefing videos and makes loot glint and highlights more subtle and with better colors just like the other games, it fits really well.
