Nah, not really.

The whole point of F-Zero as a series is to go really fucking fast. In spite of Falcon's moveset being completely made up, he at least sort of captures the spirit of F-Zero by being based around high speeds and fast reflexes. He's basically an F-Zero vehicle with legs, like how the spacies are modeled after Arwings.

Point is, why would a character from a fast as fuck series be slow as shit? If they were to add more F-Zero characters it would far more sense to, at the very least, to make them crazy fast like Falcon. As bad as Ganondorf's moveset currently is, at least the notion of being a slow but powerful brute does kinda fit his character.

Fuck, I'm not even a MGS fan and I loved Snake. The juxtaposition of his realism clashing with the cartoony atmosphere, the codec calls were far more entertaining than the drivel we got from the KI characters, and his unique moveset that not a single Nintendo character could ever replicate. Plus Shadow Moses Island was one of the best maps in Brawl.

Japan doesn't care about most game villains. Bowser's only in there because Mario needs 1/5 of the roster, Bowser Jr is only in because one employee was so desperate to put him in she nearly killed herself, and Ganondorf's only in because he's the third Triforce user.

Dedede isn't so much a villain as a jerk and he's saved Dream Land as often as Kirby has, Meta Knight is a rival/ally, Mewtwo's angry and misunderstood, and Wario's an asshole. The only reason they classify Greninja as a baddie is because he's Dark-type. They also removed Wolf, who is an undeniable villain. So don't expect any more evil people in Smash unless they're REALLY desperate for roster fillers.

I actually started digging for info on that. So far nothing outside of his tenure at Taito. Amusing enough, the first game he ever made was a Puyo Puyo clone.
