Nice try

Reminder for naive kiddies: ideas are useless if you have no talents or passion.

>ideaguys are worthless
Meanwhile, Playerunknown is rolling in the shekels LMAOing @ ur life.

I can code and once I start working on a project motivation comes automatically. But dont know what to work on yet.

make something really gay and shitty

this is a good idea

So like fez

Do this OP. Godspeed.

An endless, procedurally generated space exploration game, but it's a side scroller where you run around tiny little planets and grow pikmin type creatures that help you slay enemies/collect resources until you can launch a tiny seed pod like rocket to the next planet and start the process all over. Help me with the details, Sup Forums.

Single Player and\or Co-op focused Stargate game.

>Episodic content for an overarching story-line
>Random planets to gather different resources (Ancient tech to study, Naquadah mining and refining, offworld bases etc) which you use to upgrade tech\weapons\defenses
>Can run out of budget so must balance personnel, bases, power and base sizes with how much money you can make \ get from congress
>played from FPS perspective

Might be fun.

>fps on a phone

Where did you get phone from?

oh i forgot to mention its phone only ideas. well its a ded thread anyway nvm.

Daily reminder that ideas are worthless, execution is everything.

gps phone game where you can steal in-game money from nearby players if they don't have the app open. the money can be traded for collectible gachapons that do nothing

a farming sim like game where you grow crops and shit and trade with other players online. each area has certain crops that grow, so make an in-game marketplace for trade. you make and sell shit to get money to buy stuff for your house like a tv, exercise bike, etc. you basically eat different dishes and do different activities in order to craft bowel movements with unique attributes. you flush your shit down the toilet, and it goes to battle against other players' shit for territory.

Boxing game but with Elves and Dwarves and shit.

Weirdly shaped object golf game.

A game set in a really tiny dungeon.

You play as busty girls in bikinis splashing each other in a watergun fight to the death. Senrans beat me to it

Ideas are useless. 99% of making a game is the hard work of implementation.

Oh god yes please!
I would cream my pants.

as a developer, I agree. But do not lose sight of good ideas and their importance. I know everyone hates an ideas guy, but all great games start with a good idea

The setting is just Water World, except everyone's robots to prevent the human race from extinction. You are a marine explorer who is exploring the depths of the ocean to look for remnants from old civilizations underwater and resources to support what is left of the earth not submerged in water. As you go deeper and deeper underwater, you see and fight more creepy and alien-esque underwater animals.

I want it to be a dungeon-crawler, but idk how that'll work. I've been pseudo-coding another game entirely, but I think it's too ambitious for one guy so I'll probably just go with a simple dungeon-crawler.

>have games ideas I think are good
>have no skills involved in the actual creation of a game
Is coding hard to learn?

It depends on what language you use. Python's beginner friendly, but shit like Java and C++ require you to learn outside like reading up on books and the like. You just have to understand that coding's not for everyone, it's VERY tedious, especially when looking for bugs and what's causing crashes.

Software engineer here; in my experience, principles of computer science come naturally to some and are unobtainable for others. I've seen people who simply can't "get it", despite hard work and an honest effort. I kinda disagree with the article because of this experience; I do believe some people are just "wired" for it. The one point I do agree with from the article is that finding a community, or some sort of support structure, will really help if you're serious about picking this up. Best of luck, user. I agree with the other user about language choices.

A game where you tell OP how big of a faggot they are and then you get to choose how much bleach they drink.

Sounds comfy.

It's pretty easy, just time consuming. If you can book out a day or two you can get some concepts down pretty fast and make a simple game.

Hope on some kind of community and they will help you out for sure. If you come on Game Dev League I'll personally help you out.
