Absolutely
Why does Sup Forums keep on posting twitter posts from this literally who? Just to fit in?
Yes, also dice at the end WAS shit because the game was unfinished and they had to pad the endgame in some way to artificially extend it.
DMC4 is literally Cut Content: The Game
More than half of the game was cut.
>Just to fit in?
Love the complete lack of self awareness you kiddos have going on.
but he made star fox zero
Dice thing was shit until you figured out how to roll
He also fucking hates the Triforce Hunt in TWW. Because he's usually right about things, and the Triforce hunt is total shit.
>complain about dice
>Proceed to shove terrible and overly long unskippable minigames into all his games
>The one you have to do every time just to get to play the last Jeanne fight is especially shit and pointless
He really has no right to complain
The triforce hunt was some bullshit to cover up for the cut dungeons.
Yes, it was. The cut dungeons sting less with time, but the Triforce hunt will always ruin the endgame, at least for the GC version.
wait there's a way to control the roll?
what did he mean by this?
DMC4 is fucking ABYSMAL as a game.
The campaign has you fight shitty bosses multiple times, and the only good bosses you fight only ONCE.
You backtrack through the entire fucking game in the back half.
Many of the enemies like the Fausts, Mephistos, Infested Raptors, Blitzes, etc... are not fun to fight at all.
The various puzzles in the game are 10 ton pieces of shit. The awful dice game, grapple hooking to shit off-screen with sudden fixed camera angle changes, etc...
The Savior and Sanctus are horrifically bad bosses, goddamn.
The only good thing in that game is the gameplay. And I say that as a DMC fan. Itsuno better not excrete a game worse than DMC4 or this series is dead.
The number that is up in the moment you hit the die is the one that would show in the end. You still need good timing, but are no longer at its mercy.
I honestly enjoyed the dice section a lot and play it everytime so I can fight the bosses.
>people STILL complaining about DMC4
They released a special edition that literally fixed everything. Shut up already.
DMC3 story is kinda underrated, between the cutscenes and pacing and Dante and Vergils interactions, it was pretty solid even if pretty cliche
Fucking love the crazy story of DMC3 and the progression of it. It would be a great movie to watch.
He has nothing to do with DMC 2 or 3. So he blocks them like he says. OPs one actually asked him his opinion instead of telling something that doesn't effect him.
Two gaijins say they like his game so he puts :) because his english is lacking.
>Somebody asks him about DMC3 and 4.
>Doesn't immediately block them.
Was he having a good day or something?
>kiddos
Said the guy worshipping this electronic entertainment creator
That was long time ago. So he's a has been too?
I think the thing that kept him from it was that this guy acknowledged that Kamiya didn't work on those games, he usually blocks dumbasses who act like he did, either to troll him or cause they are genuinely stupid.
what's with this japanese thing of always giving the full quote of the person who tweeted at them in the response
He will give his opinion, he only blocks you if you act like he worked on those games
>They released a special edition that literally fixed everything. Shut up already.
Except all did it was add 3 more characters and made it even more empty than how it already was
also
>microtransactions and locked costumes sold as DLC along with worse optimization than the first version
Why is he so rude but only on Twitter? He's extremely polite in his Bayonetta Let's Play as a stereotypical Jap. Twitter is the only place where he ever unsults anyone,
have you considered that he might not be a literal who, and that you're just fucking ignorant?
Literally the only thing it fixed was making sprint activate faster, which slightly reduced the tedium. Otherwise all the flaws remain. I want to believe that they didn't put too much work into it because they were jumping straight into DMC5, but it's a fool's hope.
He can be an edgy teenagers on twitter
SF0 was last year, he was working on Scalebound but it was cancelled, and I imagine he's working on a new project by now.
Believe it or not there was a time when your internet personality didn't reflect your real life personality. But the advent of Facebook and other sites caused a lot of people to mush them together needlessly.
Can confirm
The dice is pretty bullshit in higher difficulties, even more in Hell and Hell
Good thing you can cheese it
Also i thought it was pretty nice when you revisited with Dante and he just sliced it
To be fair, vanilla DMC4 has no right to run as well as it does on every system ever. I have no clue how the fuck they accomplished that, but it was nice seeing an abysmal DMC3 port followed up with one of the greatest ports ever made in DMC4.
user i spent 15 min in that room because I would get to the end and get ported to back to the beginning through 3 or 4 rolls
Depending on what you attack the die with, it will land on a certain side. If you attack with Devil Bringer, you'll roll the number at the top at the time of the attack.
...
Really? Cause I could make my stay somewhat shorter, despite my reflexes being terrible.
So dmc4se or reboot DMC, both on sale cheap?
been racking my brain last few days and can't decide, played 1-3 already.
MT Framework is amazing, that's why.
They fixed the sprint... in a half-assed manner while adding 3 more characters.
Nothing was fixed. The fundamental structure of the game is bad. The majority of the enemy encounters are bad.
It follows a classic 3 act structure, and many things in the game show that the team understood it well.
Are you crazy?
If you played 1-3 you'll love 4 and (probably) hate DmC
DMC4: SE
Get it real cheap, the 3 new characters they added are fun to play with.
Yes.
Even once you figure out how to game it, it's just not fun. And DMC3 has had way too good of a story for a fucking hack n slash - characters had arcs and payoffs, there were consequences, it was a decent story. Very weird for the genre.
is talking about twitter comments banneable by janitors now? I heard they are some despotic guys now.
4, shouldn't even have to think about it
>the internet of anonymity will never return
Fuck Tom, fuck MySpace, and fuck AOL.
>DmC
No.
Special Edition runs on it as well, you know.
50% says its the best in the series and the other 50 says it's trash or complain about the hair and story.
I only give a shit about the gameplay.
How can I be ignorant if I'd rather just play games than knowing which developer doing what in daily. You're not any different than gossiping about Hollywood celebs.
I bought DMC4SE for PC ages ago in a steam sale, but never actually played it. This thread is making me want to go boot it up and try it out.
>Get through Nero's scenario
>Getting hyped as fuck that I can finally play as Dante again
>mfw it's literally just backtracking through Nero's levels and fighting his bosses again
I liked DMC4 but man
>gameplay
Alright, they removed a bunch of the complexity, enemies are much less aggressive with shittier telegraphs and your options are both reduced and broken - see infinite air-juggles or one-shotting combos for bosses.
I'm not sentimental in the slightest and agree that I just don't care about the hair or story, but the gameplay is a step down and even if it's leagues ahead of Ninja Theory's previous titles, it's barely above an Onimusha game by DMC standards.
Again, if that's true, you'll love DMC4 and you'll hate DmC
Just try out DMC4 first
so he only made the first one? i thought he did three also. i'm more surprised it turned out good
DmC is for people who play Metal Gear Rising for the gameplay, DMC4 is an actual good game.
Yeah. He directed Resident Evil 2, though, people tend to gloss over that. Wish he'd do more non-Bayo games, apart from W101 they've been a bit rote.
Alright i'll check out 4, avoid the demon edition though right? i heard it unlocks everything.
>literally fixed everything
>game is still butchered
>Dante still has no place in the game
>Dice game still exists
>Dante dosn't have his maximum DT
>extra characters just thrown in with no balance making Vergil and Lady seriously overpowered
>costumes are DLC
>DLC for a game older than you
>actually looks and runs worse than the standard PC version
It didn't fix shit and if it wasn't for Vergil I'd feel pretty insulted.
Yeah.
I mean look at the bundle info, it's just some souls, orbs, and "unlock all modes". Some EA-tier shit.
I heard the complaint about complexity before, and last time it was brought up, it was about not having to mash in crazy combos. Is that it?
>that literally fixed everything.
No person with half a brain would ever think that. Ever
DmC on steam is not the upgraded edition so it does not come with the combat updates
im really unlucky when it comes to stuff like that. i stayed even longer on my vergil run
Yeah, i think difficulties unlock for every character anyways
Meaning that if you play Nero/Dante campaign on normal first, you can play Vergil campaign on hard
Nah, enemy attack types are just boiled down to a scant few options that you deal with mostly the same way, bosses are plain sad, crowd control options are distilled into barely functional options, no real ways to manipulate AI etc.
If anything it wins points for not wasting your time with the combo fodder that DMC kind of had a hard-on for in DMC4, but loses those when it comes to the rest of the game.
You get plenty of combos anyway since you can instantly devil arms switch into I think every single weapon? It's been a while. I'll give credit where it's due, it was a good change.
Given how short his answers always are, it's a good thing. Helps give it context.
make sure to commit suicide
>Itsuno
He wasn't at fault there user. Capcom execs cut the dev time by about a year and he and his team had to scramble to pad the game out more. Didn't help that it was likely the first time the team ever had to develop content in HD either. They had the right ideas, just got screwed on time.
A better question is why is Sup Forums posting tweets that are years old
>tfw he blocked me because I asked about a jap porn dude who looked exactly like him
Maybe it's because Japanese twitter lets you get more context in due their moonrunes, but it comes out awful with english?
Don't forget it was originally a PS3 only title and a short time into development Capcom decided it was going to be multiplat instead.
Kanji is basically a twitter wet dream, you can get out full sentences.
just to make sure, did you think he wouldn't block you? just asking for a friend
You can switch to any weapon on the fly, yeah. Though at launch many people had some sort of disability that prevented them from doing a double tap for some reason.
>50% says its the best in the series
No one says DmC is the best in the series, if anything that the gameplay is decent and that the game got ducked over for being a DMC, but it's still a step down compared to the predecessors.
I was expecting him to respond first and *then* block me, but no, answer denied probably because it's actually him
hideki kamiya
yoko taro
hideo kojima
nobuo uematsu
these 4 made a game together with a team they picked
would that be the first 11/10 game?
DMC 4 actually was good. DMC 3 had bad scenario, its just funny anime, not good story.
I really hate how he lashes out at anyone for dare asking something someone else asked four years ago not knowing it was asked before yet is always willing to accept the same dicksucking tweets from fanboys.
I sent a request to Kamiya to hire Akira Kitamura, since he wants to return to gaming.
Did I just do a bad thing?
>4 directors
Too many cooks spoil the broth.
>Admitting to being wilfully ignorant
>"How am I ignorant?"
Fucking nice.
kamiya would make a decent playing game. taro and kojima either make the end all be all plot over 10 games with 4 endings each or argue and forcing the game into development hell.
Isn't Kitamura working on a game already or something?
>or complain about the hair
Tameem?
uematsu would be in charge of the overall score of the game and compose a few of the songs, guv
You have to admit, there were a bunch of complaints about the hair.
Even ignoring that, DmC's Devil Trigger was so fucking lame. Did basically the same thing as Alice: Madness fucking Returns with the lazy filter.
Personally I consider it the best action game the west has put out yet. The combat is a several steps below DMC but several above shit like God of War. I also like most of the art direction like with level design and how they twist and warp.
It's pretty funny to think that if it had no ties to DMC and made the plot one long edgy intentional joke/made it more lighthearted it would have made bank and had a sequel by now.
My bad.
He can stay.
No, but he posted he wanted to return.
> It has nothing to do with this, but if I have the opportunity I would like to return to the game production.
aknote.hatenablog.com
Also he says he was born in the year of the dragon, making him only 53. He has plenty of years left until retirement.
Oh, well good luck to him. I don't know much about his post Megaman career other than he maybe directed a PS1 game at some point.
He has a list of his past work on his site. The PS1 game was actually the last one he did.
i was sold at the squirrel semen, but disapointed you dont see her gathering it
Go figure. He did Willow? Man, blast from the past.
There were, yep, people can be like that, but it was also really overblown.
Wasn't it basically Quicksilver (aka Time slow)? That is pretty lazy. DMC2 was pretty bad, no doubt, but it sucks that we're not getting customizable DTs again.
>3 overrated directors and 1 good composer
Yeah I just buy the OST the game will be shit
I never understood complains about dice. What's so wrong about them? You hit a dice, you fight demons. It's a game about fighting demons as stylish as possible. How few random fights can trigger people so bad?
At least that shit got fixed for DmC:DE. You can still have quicksilver: red edition or it can act as a normal DT.
