I'm sure it will be.

Here's hoping.

They're trying to hype Yakuza 6, they'll probably announce it right after it releases or two months before

I can't wait.

Fuck yeah imma preorder that. I heard the glasses were plastic though.

Playing 6 right, now and I can't wait.

I played the janky ass demo, really hope I can stand it when the full game releases

Game's not as bad as the demo. When you level up you can increase your attack speed. Also as you see I have a Pro, and the performance is more solid that base PS3. Less to almost no screen-tearing, stable 30 etc.

If Kiryu would've just stayed on board as Godaime, none of this shit would've happened.

Nice set up. PC specs?

I'm really hoping for Yakuza on PC.

yakuza 6 is trash, dont buy this one

Have an Ishin Amon webm. I love just dicking around in these fights, they're the best part of each game. It doesn't help that those sunglasses are hilarious in both Kenzan and Ishin.

The people who have played the full game said a lot of the problems you would have with the demo get fixed. I thought the fighting lacked any impact outside of Heat Actions or using a bicycle in the demo but other people said there's upgrades that make it feel like you're hitting far harder with your square punches, you can keep combos going even if enemies block you mid-combo compared to not at all in the demo, and I know there was one other thing I'm forgetting.

It's like Yo-kai Watch's demo on the 3DS was. It doesn't let you capture anything, it doesn't let you equip anything, you can't really do anything but nearly one-shot everything, and barely anything in the demo is indicative of what's in the final game so it leaves a bad taste in your mouth because of it.

Elaborate. Only trash thing about it was the last boss being weak AF.

I haven't played it, but why do you think it's bad?

Moose, how would you rate the Amons in the series? I think Ishin's is one of the hardest. Took me several tries and beers to get through him.

Question
Does Yakuza 5 ever go on sale?

>he didn't grab it for free with PS+
It might go on sale when they announce Kiwami 2 at PSX or so, wouldn't surprise me.

What's your favorite boss fight from the series?

Kenzan > 1 > 2 > 5 > 4 > Ishin > 3 > Dead Souls in terms of both fun of the fight and difficulty.

I felt like they dropped the ball with Ishin's because he only uses two out of the four styles and even if you avoid cheesing him with Pistol in the Battle Dungeon he has like two combos at most, both of which you can heavily punish not to mention free reign of card usage. Ishin's took me three tries because you very very quickly realize Tiger Drop is the only way to beat him without the fight taking hundreds of tries and hours with that chip damage and 15 or more bars of health. I was maxed out and uncapped in all my styles.

First death was because second phase's stupid Yumeryusai beam got me as he was slashing which I didn't expect to do 2x hits, second death was in phase 1 because I had 60%ish health and I messed up my Sword R2 while he was doing his. Third try I beat him, L1 + Hand-to-Hand Tiger Drops in phase 1 since it literally makes you invincible to everything and then phase 2 is Sword Tiger Drops. He's as much of a let down as 3's was in my opinion, it's just a Tiger Drop fight really.

Very rarely. I think the last time was December of last year so you may want to bite the bullet, or hold out until this December. They seem to be focusing on 0 and Kiwami's sales now. I think PAL also got a Dead Souls sale recently.

Kuze in the sewers.

Wow, I never ran into him in Kenzan. Is he really that tough? Might have to replay it.

Yakuza Kiwami on PSN Free Games when?

Four phases each with about three or four health bars. No Tiger Drop in the game. Does slightly less than Ishin damage (So instead of 4 hits you die in 5). He is relentless and chases you constantly, has tons of different attacks, his second and fourth phases are pretty ridiculous and messing up at all gets you stuck in quite a long combo, etc. Fourth phase pulls out a gun and if you ever are farther than three feet he begins shooting rapid fire at you and then runs away and you have to run back to him dodging the shots. From what I've seen you can kind of cheese some of his phases by using the Heat medicines but that's about it in terms of making him slightly easier, I refused to use anything but the Heat I earned which made the victory so much sweeter.

It's a pain in the ass to even reach him (All substories, half of which are missable, and you have to choose the correct choices in all of them) and even when you do he's a real doozy. I loved his battle so much.

There's a no damage run if you want to check it out.

>Four phases each with about three or four health bars

nah fuck the replay now

Why? It's cheap as fuck.

In most countries anyway,

His second and fourth phases knock you down to pretty much dead if you even get hit and his only opening is literally as one of his combos is ending. it's nuts and it's the best Amon for me.

might have to give it a go - Ishin's was the hardest for me, but ironically the easiest was 4 for me

You posted it. Before that it was unironically CIA Brother. I dunno why, I just thought it was so cool and I honestly didn't expect it.

So I beat Yakuza 2, not sure in retrospect why that punk Hayashi was giving me so much trouble. Now I've beaten all of the main games, might go with Dead Souls next.

Good man, did you end up enjoying it more in the end since you said you just hated it with Hayashi. For Dead Souls remember that R1 mashing is their intended method when actually wandering around. Make sure you get Head Tracking ASAP since it helps until you get the Golden Gun/Elise, but after that just do R1 while running around. Head Tracking after that is with the Deagle against certain specials or using a shotgun to stunlock an Aggro.

Oh, and get that one accuracy amulet, the one that increases headshot chance while not aiming since the sensitivity drop is almost nothing for aimed but you headshot like every other shot it seems when not aiming and I think effects stack as well so multiples work. It just slaughtered everything.

Yes, I honestly enjoyed the game quite a bit overall. Obviously some technical stuff is annoying, like limited item boxes etc. but the story and music carry it easily. Also the final fight was really cool.

Yakuza 6 is the only game Im actually excited for.

Ive bought every English release because I want more to come West.

It's not as bad as people say. It reminds me of 3, but much more action packed, and less side-shit like the orphanage, the baby only takes 10 minutes of your time max.

I'm

>tfw beautiful Nippon freedom from cancer Western shit "games"

I can. Yakuza 6 was disappointing as fuck.

see

majima was ruined

Y6's combat looks boring.

>looks

It's better IMO. It's more refined. You can't always rush enemies. You have to actually plan out your attacks.

I have never played a single Yakuza game for the desire to tactically defeat my enemies.

I want to wail on dudes and smash them apart with street trash. I want to do suplexes and flipkicks and shatter bones with my elbows.

Yakuza is not about "plan[ning] out your attacks." It's about doing flashy shit that looks cool. Y6 doesn't look cool.

The only thing I really dont like is that the enemies vanish when you KO them.

Looks super cheap

The fight itself isn't that great but my god is everything leading up to it so fucking retarded I just can't help but love it. In fact I'd say that's the case with the last third of Yakuza 3 in general, it starts out so slow and just kicks it into an insane overdrive that borders on self parody.

AWWHHH

BOAYYYYYY

>dat theme

Criminally underused.

>lack of invincibility on dodge
Really grind me gears when enemies and bosses have tons of invincibility when they dodge and you have none.

Shibusawa or Aizawa

Well I've been plating the games since 2008, and my biggest gripe is how easy they are. Almost to the point of brain-dead. At least 6 limits your healing items a bit.,

Mine was the last good boss that gave Kiryu a run for his money. Fly still gets my blood pumping.

Playing Yakuza for the challenge is eating soup for the spoon.

I'm fine with being able to do flashy moves but the difficulty in each game since 4 has been way too easy even when playing on the harder difficulties. It'd be nice if hard mode was actually hard for once.

>That moment when he comes out of nowhere in Ishin.
Wesker and Thomas are just hilarious.

The Dharma Roll in Ishin is actually ridiculous with how many iframes it has when you get the uncapped version. The reason it looked like I had none in the webm is because Amon teleported and had his attack animation delay until my Dharma Roll ended which meant no iframes.

basically

Just give it time

why dont you have anything on the desktop
it's for keeping shortcuts and work not for aesthetic shitters

can we all agree that 5 was the best game?

No, user. Zero is. If you think otherwhise, you're not a real fan. :-)

>No Ishin

They are out of ideas anyway with these stupid remakes. I'm dropping the series after Y0.

I don't understand why you would not localize if you are fine with it being text only. How expensive can it be to translate the dialogue to another language compared to the production cost of the game.

Black Panther and Kenzan patches fucking when? How many years those translations been in the works?
