I've never played re2 (watched a playthrough though) so Im waiting for this remake to play it for the first time.

Either way it's going to be shit. Capcom is not the company it once was when they made REmake.

My theory is on why it's taking so long is that capcom is trying to get the original voice actors back on board.

That would honestly be kind of awesome. One thing interesting about the Resident Evil games is that despite using different camera schemes, they all tend more or less retain the same basic control-scheme. Playing Resi2 in three different ways would be a really neat way to add meaningful replay value..

One of the reasons I would at least like an (optional) first person mode is VR. I got to play Resi7 in VR, and honestly, after playing it that way, it's kind of hard to go back.

I just want my re4 Leon and re2 Claire for a full remake of 2.

Darkside Chronicles was closest thing we ever got.
