Use a launcher and a pack, mods are best grouped for added options and flexibility. I use ATL, 'Unabridged'. I like industrial mods so I can create autonomous factories. For this I fall back on Thermal Expansion, BC craft (for quarries and oil refining) , Mine factory reloaded, Forestry for Minecraft, Tinkers Construct, Rail Craft, Big Reactors and Immersive Engineering. For 'adventure/ magic' Thaumcraft, Witchery (my personal favorite) and Galacticraft (+ interstellar expansions for late game content).

Forever stranded and skyfactory are one of the best modpacks, prove me wrong.

I feel bad because I can't enjoy this game. I'm not creative and I don't have friends. There's not a lot of progression even with mods.

I like nu-Minecraft now. The Java one just runs like ass and always will even with a supercomputer. Mods aren't worth it to me.

The best mod I've ever played was the first version of the aether with the sky Temple and all the new mobs.

The new version suck MASSIVE cocks and I can't find the old one.

I once found a mod where you could put up actual scripted NPC's with branched dialogue and shit and basically set up a whole fucking RPG inside a Minecraft game.

millenaire is being updated again. works with the latest version even however personally i like minecolonies more.
thaumcraft is just developed behind closed door if you are a patreoncuck you can play the new versions when theyre released until the public release is out.
moCreatures is being maintained by a guy from minecraft general.

i personally run a modded beta 1.7.3 through multimc called fycraft which adds hoppers and a few other tweaks like fixing the cloud bug on modern systems. this is with optifine, water shader mod, water shader optifine patch, modloader, lamp mod, rei minimap, animal breeding mod and pfaeffs mod.

basically made the best 1.7.3 experience possible and am just making a cool survival world with a load of different buildings and shit

although, good luck finding any of those mods, especially the water shader mod
