Will a Xbone controller work correctly on Windows 7? I'm worried microsoft is going to rip me off with some win10 shilling.
Also is it bigger/heavier than a 360 controller?

It works but the headphone port won't. It's around the same size and weight if you don't have batteries in.
It works with a USB cable, but the propriety wireless receiver doesn't I think.
It's a bit heavier than a wired (i.e. sans batteries) 360 Controller, but it's a non-issue unless you're a malnourished handlet.
Thx, I was worried because I remembered drivers fucking up with win7. I'll use a cable anyway.
Fuck the xbone controller and buy an old x360. The wireless receiver works flawless with win 7
Yes. It works flawlessly with USB cable that comes with it.
It's an improvement over the 360 pad in every way.
works fine for me
but PS4 controller is much better
>PS4 controller is much better
Mine works fine, but it's a first gen controller.
you ready for the return of the duke?
Hes right. Its bluetooth meaning no dongles and its rechargeable the xbone isn't which is inexcusable thease days
You're right that it being rechargeable is a benefit, but not when it comes to the DS4. That battery is shit and 2 good AA batteries will last you days in a XB1 controller
That doesn't bother me since I use a cable to minimize input lag. I just find the xbone pad to be ergonomically superor. The dualshock is just awkward to hold.
xbone s controllers have bluetooth and rechargeable battery packs?
In pc luckly you can cut off that stupid light bar and itll last ten times longer. I wont comment on subjective ergonomics because i can pretty comfortably use any controller
(Hell the steam controller is great in my eyes) i just loee playing all day charging up when i need to and never needing dongles or cables. Really makes the living room pc experience a million times better
***sold separately
It does work but here's the thing.
I got one when I needed a new controller, it works wirelessly and all but whenever it's on wireless connection it treats the triggers like it's a Z-axis control.
It treats it as a FUCKING Z-AXIS
This means that the triggers are always sending z-axis inputs when they're not depressed at all so it'll always act like some button is being pushed. In windows ten you can supposedly customize this "small overlook" but fuck them.
When you use it wired on a simple microUSB to USB it maps it out like a normal 360 pad with no issues though. For some godforsaken reason
whoops meant
I have the XB1 Rechargeable battery pack and it gets me through a couple days at least
bone has a better dpad but i cant stand pretty much anything else on it. feels too loosey goosey like you'd have to have the hands of a surgeon to do anything precise. 360 for me
although maybe this is because my friend heavily abuses his controllers, and maybe they aren't like that when they're new and you treat them properly
It does, but some people have problems with the usb cable losing connection due to dubious quality control.
