My picks are Dark Souls 2 and Metal Gear Solid 5.
ITT: Fuck you I liked it
Funny, those are the two games I'm currently playing. MGS V is fun and runs at 60 fps, that's about all I can say about it.
Dark Souls 2 can also be fun if you put points in ADP
I actually enjoyed Civ: BE even though it was a bit lackluster.
I like Fallout 4
I understand why some people might dislike it, but people who outright hate it are just being silly
Skyrim and fallout 4. i had a fucking blast with both.
Fallout 4 has some good areas
The downtown city area is legit a great place to explore
my fav fallout 4 place was the supermarket. its spooky as fuck on survival
The Last Of Us.
Fuck your fucking “movie” meme, there was still plenty of shooting and goddamn did it feel fucking good to kill.
Also top tier multiplayer.
the gameplay is top tier, never going to debate that. I just really hate the direction the story takes on the second half
Dragon Age II
compared to Inquisition, an unplayable mess, Dragon Age II could even be considered a "good" game.
compared to Origins, though...
i tried inquisition and died twice in a row during the tutorial boss due to the AI/pathing being shit so i uninstalled
Most of the hate comes from the overwhelming amount of positive press. It feels disingenuous and, thus, invites criticism when it appears that flaws are just being ignored.
People will defend this
fuckin a, both of those are my favorite in both series. DS2 has the most fun pve/pvp to me and MGSV is so much stuff to play around with while running around in bikini armor
DS2 is actually my favorite in the series too but I only feel that way because I've played them all a shit-ton and DS2 is the most fun to replay thanks its qualities.
I don't think I could MGSV is my favorite of the series.
If it had the content of MGS3, then it definitely would. MGSV definitely needed more areas like Ground Zeroes or Groznyj grad
I liked MGO but the base game was trash
Controversial opinions?
I think MGSV is more fun than Zelda:
Breath of the Wild
Both are pretty similar to.
Both are first attempts at large scale open world games by major japanese devs as the latest entry in major franchises.
Bother have a similar control scheme and have sandbox-like gameplay mechanics.
Both are also plainly unfinished and have disappointing stories. Each one could be described as being "a good game but a bad X game"
I like DayZ
I liked MGSV. Sure it was really disappointing and I won't even try to defend the problems with the story or the horrible pacing of act 2 but I still enjoyed it as a whole.
I'll second your DS2
Brawl is a big one for me
Zelda 2, but I feel like the hate for it has died down a lot the past few years
Are there lots of zombies yet? I want to fight zombie hordes with a random survivor barely hanging on and we gotta help each other or we are both dead! We barely escape the horse and theres only 1 can of beans left....
I like DaS2 but its not a very good game.
MGSV is fun as fuck, though.
Depending on the town you are in and shoot, you can be decently overwhelmed by about 10-20 zombies in a couple of seconds.
I mean I enjoyed MGSV but holy FUCK did they shit Thebes with the open world
>finish quest
>spend 30 minutes running across the map
Don't even tell me "b-but mug helicopter can get you places faster!"
>playing on PS3
>load times are ridiculous
>calling in a helicopter for quicker transport takes just as long as sprinting across map
>mfw I just want to fucking sneak around
Other than that it was great but fuck open world games.
