Just buy it on PC lol are you seriously fucking retarded?
It starts slow, the combat's kind of a standard flashy turn-based fare and the morality of the choices is black-and-white to a really hilarious degree.
But I think it's a fun classic Bioware adventure. Probably my favorite Star Wars related story with a good variety of quests and different places to see.
What wizardry is this?
Buy it on PC, you can mod out the majority of the first planet
NEVER pay for digitally distributed games. Just pirate it on PC.
I only have a shitty laptop atm unfortunately
It can run it if it was made after 2003
He could also buy a used disc copy too.
I promise you can play it
I would recommend pc version just to mod the walking speed. You get a force run in the game but it doesnt do enough to speed things up. There's a lot of walking back and forth across pretty long stretches of land.
Still a good game though, I recommend at least giving it a try. You should probably look up some good builds ahead of time if you're retarded like me, because I ended up accidentally making one of the hardest builds to get through the game with on my first run and I think I had a worse time for it.
Are you using a 20 year old laptop?
Guns are worthless because the devs were lazy. Just make a melee build and you'll be fine.
You're better off just waiting until you get a better PC to be honest. It controls better and when you're done, you can mod it. There are so many great mods for it.
>Praising K1 while posting a K2 screen
user please.
>is it worth a buy?
YES. It's one of the best RPGs ever made and it still holds up imo.
I'm ready.
Very worth it, don't listen to any shitposters in this thread saying K2 is better. Maybe with the proper mods installed but Obsidikiddies are kidding themselves
>white hand
>"white" """"people""""
Explain how the first game is better
The second game is better in literally every single way
>Persuasion is a PC only skill
>Can only make maximum use of it by playing the class geared towards the worst style of fighting in the game
What were they THINKING?
>unfinished story and dialogue (as with every Obsidian game)
>buggy as hell (as with every Obsidian game)
>in fact most of the game is half finished (as with every Obsidian game)
>holy shit
>wheres the game half of it is gone
>b-but with the restoration mod its good!
No
>pigskin
Fuck yeah, finally.
Gonna buy it tomorrow.
I personally prefer the first, maybe just due to having played it first. I think it's true that Kotor 2 was probably better overall in terms of more mature characters and story, more difficult and meaningful choices, etc. I still feel like the first game is a better star wars game, though. Maybe due to the far more black and white separation between light and dark side.
Both are great though.
Definitely holds up, it's worth playing. Gameplay is probably closest to the Dragon Age games if you've played those, mostly Origins.
You're asking for spoilers with this thread, I'd bail now if I were you.
You could buy it right now on Steam for eleven dollars and mod the game at your leisure
Feels like a complete game to me. What is noticeably missing to you? Plus the game isn't buggy anymore, it actually runs much better than the first game now
what's the problem?
Somewhat related but does the s one version work better or worse then the 360 version of ninja gaiden black
>capcom vs snk 2 isn't backward compatible
>but fucking king of fighters neowave is.
I said it before and I'll say it again. Swing and a miss.
pc version has extra stuff. But the game is a must buy.
Not in my experience, I had to copy a file from my first KOTOR game into the KOTOR2s directory because the game literally came packaged with a crucial game file that didn't work. This was like last year too, more than enough time to fix these issues
I love KotOR II but the ending definitely is and feels unfinished. Kreia just explaining what happens to everyone with no real ending cutscene. Bao-Dur and some of the other companions don't really get to wrap up their stories.
The Restoration mod alleviates some of this, but it still sucks that a lot was compromised since LucasArts moved up the release date.
Probably close. I would think the 360 version probably has better textures, but since the OG Xbox version has widescreen it should be at 1080p on top of the 60 FPS when played on Xbone.
>the sequel to the 2003 8pt font
>GAME OF THE YEAR 58pt font
Shameful.
HOLY SHIT
I can't wait to see how Ninja Gaiden will look
1080p but with missing effects if previous BC are anything to go by.
not canon
why was this not /thread?
What missing effects
Xboxhuge emulation was very finicky on 360.
average npc polygon count will increase from 5 to 6 and space niggers will now be a slighter dark shade of brown
even without the restoration mod Peragus alone has better writing than any Bioware game
>playing KotOR2 without the RCM
You're dumb as hell
They are in pretty good condition you can sell both game for around 100 bucks and trust me people will buy it because they are rare especially the original editions without platinum boxes.
If this is a good a thread as any: Does anyone have the Sup Forums Archive of that dude playing the Kotor 2 Mod? I need this in my lifetime, please!
>white boy
Why does the anti-aliasing look so bad? Is the in-game resolution 1080p or is it only the output video that's full HD? It definitely looks a lot smoother on PC in 1080p.
