That one time people thought Apollo was getting nuked from canon
>That one time we got an actually great rookie-to-competent lawyer although a lot of other aspects of the game is lacking arguably, gets stupid by the end like every other AA game does but without getting quite as wild or excitingly over-the-top which is what people are actually looking for in these games
I didn't like the translated first case that much mostly because I couldn't tell what Ryu was supposed to be. Is he a law student? Why is he friends with Asougi if he didn't want to be a lawyer? What's he study? Why is he magically so competent other than plot convenience?
Like it's a scenario that seems "exciting" on paper but doesn't even give me the basics on who this character is supposed to be. If you start him as a lawyer like AA1 and 4 then you don't have that problem.
with this latest game, he actually is nuked from the canon now.
Athena is the future.
Way to ignore the post credits scene with Phoenix and Thalassa.
REEEEEEEEE WHY WONT THE ENGLISH THE OLD TIMEY GAMES
THERES TWO OF THEM NOW? WHY WONT ANYONE EVEN DO A FAN TRANSLATION FUCKING REEEEE
Ryuu's not a law student, he was studying English language if I remember right. Assuming you know the circumstances of the first case and why he was involved.
>Why is he friends with Asougi if he didn't want to be a lawyer?
You can have friends at school studying something different to you.
>Why is he magically so competent other than plot convenience?
He's not competent in law and that is made clear a fair few times throughout, he's just perceptive which isn't synonymous with studying law. It's only really by the end of the game that you could call him "competent" at all even.
Closest comparison would be that air hostess chick from I1-2 who acts as your assistant I guess, albeit with a bit more personality in general. Doesn't work in law and it showed but she clearly had a good head on her shoulders.
They are doing a fan translation, pretty sure Episode 1 of the first game is finished and released.
You can but it is certainly harder especially when all they seem to talk about is Asougi's law career. And no, I think trying an entire case murder case on your own and winning is pretty competent. There's the obvious disconnect here that's always been in Ace Atttorney that the actual practice of law is super de-emphasized in favor of basic logic connections and contradictions, but the point is that he did something that Phoenix surprised others and was heavily praised for on his first day as a lawyer. For all intents and purposes, in Ace Attorney world Ryu is shockingly competent for seemingly having no experience whatsoever.

Sorry Gajin, you aren't worthy of this game. What's that, someone uploaded a translated walkthrough online? NO, DMCA .YOU LIKE WHAT WE GIVE YOU TAKE MAINLINE ACE ATTORNEY AND LIKE IT FILTHY WHITE PIGGU
>All this forced melodrama and anime power levels
What the FUCK Ace Attorney?
He's not doing it alone. Susato's a judicial assistant and backs him up where his legal knowledge is lacking.
Welcome to neo-AA
He did the first case basically alone, Mia gave Phoenix a similar amount of help that Asougi did. Yet Ryu ended up solving a much more convoluted case and is considered incompetent? No way.
kay
I bet her dick is huge.
>Mia gave Phoenix a similar amount of help that Asougi did.
Not really. Asougi was still demonstrably the actual lawyer there. Ryu pretty much just had Phoenix's original concept role, where he manages to hold his own and defend himself after being accused of a crime.
No he wasn't? Ryu solves everything and it even gets to the point where Asougi himself gives up. Ryu clearly outdoes even his own "lawyer" with zero experience
>but the point is that he did something that Phoenix surprised others and was heavily praised for on his first day as a lawyer.
Phoenix was still considered incompetent by most people by the end of the trilogy to be fair. Only people who thought otherwise were the ones he helped in the first place.
>No he wasn't? Ryu solves everything
No, until near the end he has constant help. He doesn't do it by himself.
He isn't magically over-competent, he's just not a dumbass and the game pretty bluntly has him start out incompetent but improve by picking stuff up over time, both in that case and throughout the game.

I think Kay Faraday is a futanari, and that her penis is above-average in length and girth.
