>you will never experience the Phantom Pain theory threads ever again
Remember how great the game was before it was released? How Venom was Gray Fox, Ishmael was The Medic and how the second Liquid on the helicopter was Solid Snake? Sniper Wolf was going to be found in Africa, Kaz was going to turn against you, Skullface was the real Snake, shit like that.
That entire experience broke my capacity to feel excited for games because it absolutely could not live up to the hype.
Joshua Evans
I went in blind as fuck and had no prior experience to MGS and had a fucking blast! definitely in my top 10 games of all time
Liam Gutierrez
Same, I really like the game and how wierd stuff gets. Im only like 20% done to.
Gavin Gomez
Kojima learned his lesson and refuses to release new info on his game which will be out in a fucking year and 2 months
Jace Perry
from a lore standpoint, this game really, really didn't need to exist
Parker Taylor
This. I wish it didnt. 4 was sort of mediocre, but it was fun to play. V is just trash.
Camden Scott
>it was fun to play It was a fucking chore. No post-MGS3 game has any redeeming features.
Hunter Gutierrez
>How Venom was Gray Fox, Ishmael was The Medic and how the second Liquid on the helicopter was Solid Snake? Sniper Wolf was going to be found in Africa, Kaz was going to turn against you, Skullface was the real Snake, shit like that. Well, if you wanted that shit.. I'm glad Kojima did what he did. I hope Death Stranding is the same, too. Just to see you more butthurt.
Noah Ross
Venom should've been Solidus
Liam Walker
>tfw no solidus game where you go fucking killing people left and right and raising child soldiers
Hunter Miller
I agree. >wahhh why wasn't the game exactly what I predicted it would be
Blake Rodriguez
I get that you’re both retarded but you’ve missed the point of the thread
It wasn’t that it was what we wanted, it’s what it could have been
Go back to your Nintendo threads where every game is exactly the same
Easton Walker
Remember the Chico = Quiet theory? Who was the retard that came up with that shit?

could have been what you wanted

I played mgs 1-3, ac!d 1 and 2. Skipped mgs4 and PW. Jumped into v. Had a blast with v until chapter 12 when I had done over 60 side missions of rescue a person or kill someone. Also the traveling and he'll rides got boring.
Robert Miller
Caramel, I summon thee! Please satisfy this user's () desires!
Alexander Reyes
He would have been 12
Cooper Diaz
metal gear solid has one the most retarded story in videogames, literally like playing an anime. Only Kingdom Hearts exceed this. Do the japanese just not want to make sense or anything?
Justin Murphy
Solidus appears much older than Snake in MGS2, despite being born later. Considering the age fuckery already present in the series, him appearing as an old man at the age of 12 is hardly a stretch.
Connor Stewart
THIS fucking /thread
Kevin Ross
It was a really weird game. I can see where Kojima was going with some of the stuff in it and I kinda appreciate the idea behind them but shit like the side ops or both regions being mostly empty deserts were just objectively poor design decisions.
Brandon Thomas
>being this real on here.
Kayden Anderson
True
The hype threads were better than the game
I really wanted it to be the link to the original MGS or at least the warming up act where you see Liquid in middle east learning and growing up in the British Army, save Sniper Wolf in the battlefields of eastern europe. come across Grey Fox and a young Naomi etc.
Really wrap it up properly, even make it a 2 part game where you see Boss slowly turn into what he became at the start when he hasd no problem creating and using child soliders.
Sebastian Nelson
Peace Walker was... mostly inoffensive.
Brayden Perez
underage Sup Forumstards get out

Solidus was a mercenary in Liberia in the 80's
Jaxson Moore
>Liberia >in the 80's Solidus didn't get involved in Liberia until the start of the Liberian Civil War, which didn't start until the end of 1989. Given that the Liberian Civil War was the first conflict he had to deal with, he wouldn't have been active until he was a teenager; even then, at the most generous rates of rapid acceleration of age, he wouldn't have looked old enough to be the phantom Big Boss.
Sebastian Jenkins
It shouldve been muppet babies with all the bosses from MGS1 but little kiddos.
Carter Williams
Meanwhile western games can't construct a plot more complex than "kill tha bad guy"
I'll take jap games and their weird stories any day over that mundane shit.
