8 and 9 will be also first person, but action orientated, so no more playing hide and seek. Capcom will also shit a few spin-offs (like Revelations and Operation: Raccoon City during 4-6 era). None of those games will feature classic zombies.

Not in first person and some kind of legit connection to the established world. Everything can be new but it needs to fit into the world the past games have created. The molded weren't terrible enemies but Eveline and her psychic mind control powers were dumb and don't really mesh with what the previous games have built upon.

Also a bit more cheese. RE7 took itself way to seriously.

I want the RE engine and first person to stay, and I want them to take us back to an urban setting. Take us to a Japanese suburbs or something completely different for the series. The series is best when it's about

The international super soldier spies have been around since the second game (HUNK and Tofu), fourth (CV) if you don't count them as Wesker was a super soldier spy.

HUNK's presence is a subdued version of it when you look at everything post-BSAA invention. It's fine then.

RE1 is the best of the original trilogy for a reason. But in all of those games it wasn't quite as ridiculous as say, RE5, which is probably the worst offender but a good example of how it became and shouldn't have.

Come on. This is also subdued in comparison to how it became. It's fine then. Repeatedly bringing back old characters beyond their prime is when it crosses the line.

This. Revelations 2 was also fantastic.For a goofy, over the top zombie action movie style game, you never expect the characters to feel so solid.

I actually didn't play 7, and don't intend to. Too many things don't sit right.
