How would you fix Breath of the Wild?

How would you fix Breath of the Wild?

fixed

Larger variety of enemies. Fighting gobbos and skeletons ten thousand times gets boring.

>hurr I would add a bunch of stuff that would've added years to development time and isn't cohesive with the game's design goals

there, just add some images from your zelda /e/ folder and that's the experience of this thread

Less shrines
More dungeons
Increased durability for weapons and ways to fix and upgrade them

This.

Also something to encourage multiple playthroughs. idk what that would be though

Basically this. They don't even need to be enemies with good or advanced AI. Just some flavour for certain zones, like peahats for tropical regions or tektites for Death Mountain.

At a push, one additional enemy that attacks in some more tactical fashion, like a dodongo that tries to keep its whiplike tail turned to you.

1080p 60fps minimum, more unique enemies, 2.5x durability, better dungeons

-Add more enemy variations (making enemies different colors and harder is gay)
-Remove the bullshit weapons break system. One thing I love about bethesda games is making a weapon my own
-Make sidequests worth a damn. I don't fucking want rupees or items to sell and get rupees just to buy other bullshit that will break or just isn't appealing.
-Add cooler armor
If BoTW just was it's own thing without being in the zelda universe it could have been so much better. The devs restricted themselves too hard to the boring linearity of normal Zelda games. Zelda just isn't meant to be open world.

- More enemy types, more local flavours especially
- Fewer shrines but proper large underground dungeons for the main ones (just the four), with unique set dressing, not all looking the same, perhaps more classical style puzzles inside of those

Other than that it's pretty much perfect.

This, and get rid of weapon durability.

Sex mods

Instead of like 120 shrines I would have like 30 but way longer and of more consistent quality, you get a full container at the end of each one. They also have different looks and music depending on their location on the map. Basically just dungeons only slightly smaller.

I hated how BotW's content felt so incredibly chopped up into small sizes, felt like something they might have changed because of portability. I'd much rather have fewer, but meatier objectives.

Give Riju a penis.

Surprised I haven't seen any BotW nude mods yet.

Add more lewdness

>ITT: morons that don't understand how durability enriches the experience

I fucking hate all of you.

Just more enemy types like said. Everything else is pretty much perfect and nothing that would need to be "fixed". There can be other areas of improvements, but those would require a sequel in the same style because they'd change the game too much from how BotW is constructed.

WHERE THE FUCK IS DLC PACK 2

>No darknuts
>No Iron Knuckles

What were they thinking?

Better OST
Better final boss fight

Fucking disgusting.

Make the fish girl the real love interest that you can get with at the end

The problem with multiple playthroughs is that once you've seen all the areas and found all the outfits the only thing left is the main quest stuff, which is incredibly lacking in content.

>y-y-you don't understand!
Explain why then.

More ass and tiddies.

Fuck weapon durability. You can meme all you want but when the best solution to combat is "ignore combat" it's a dumb mechanic.
>This Moblin dropped some guts AND a horn, this was sure worth the broken sword!

It totally ruins any excitement when finding a cool weapon though.
Once you've beat the four dungeons you've pretty much seen every weapon at least 10 times each.

Impregnation system.

Yes, cancer tends to enrich your life by giving you the drive to do all the things you've been too afraid to do.

I still don't want cancer though.

Not him but it turns it from "get better sword never use anything else" to thinking on your feet, chucking stuff around, using the environment if you need to and a bit Chinese action theatre style

I think just a few simple fixes would be a HUGE difference. It excelled at a lot of shit, but
* A larger variety of enemies. I wish there were maybe 2-3 more overworld bosses. They were fun
* More types of rewards. When you know everything you get is armor, weapons, orb (so heart/stamina) it takes some of the fun out of finding a new place

>get a sword
>get a better sword
>get the master sword
>never use anything except master sword

Wow such a new idea, and so fresh!

The only ost that needs to be replaced is the battle one, which also happens to be the most common one.
The rest of the music is fine, but there should be more of it, and it shouldn't be so fuckin quiet.
At least put sound sliders.

Condense the game world to half the size.
Remove all towers.
Remove all shrines and put the time/resources into proper dungeons instead.
Reduce the number of korok seeds from 900 to 100.
Change the dungeon bosses to have unique designs/themes/music instead of being variations of Ganon.
Make mini-bosses region-exclusive.
Add a few extra runes that make use of pre-existing mechanics (e.g. a wind rune)
Add armor sets that give you new abilities like the Zora Armor.
Make Link consume food/potions in real time.
Drastically reduce the timing window for flurry rush and parrying, and make them unlockable techniques instead of part of your basic kit.
Change the UI to be a lot more user-friendly and less tedious. Alternatively bring back the cut Wii U gamepad menus.
Add more enemy types, especially late-game enemies.
Add sidequests that are actually interesting instead of pure filler. Tarrey Town is the only one that actually had any work put into it and even then it had wood grinding and a fucking diamond as the end-reward.
Add a couple unique races so the setting feels more like its own thing and not a Zelda themepark.
Add blacksmith NPCs and items that can repair durability.
Completely rewrite the story. All of it.
Make Master Mode actually worthwhile instead of tedious bullshit.
Give Ganon an elaborate third form that only unlocks if you've completed the main quest.

>food analogy

Is that a girl (male)?

>he eats cancer

Allow Link to enter a relationship with Riju

Harder difficulty; no i don't mean lol bigger hp moar dmg. I mean Improved AI that adapts to players. Nerfing of matrix mode or complete removal. Nerfing of healing/food system

Larger enemy variety; especially at the end game.

Either fewer shrines with longer fleshed out puzzles or just bring back dungeons.

Big open world with landmarks yet nothing to do in them. Place the dungeons on the outside or underground. Make finding the dungeons a quest or sidequest. Make them similar to old zelda dungeons.

A much better and fleshed out story, Better side characters or NPC's. Improve the sidequest besides having them only be fetch quests. Write something that'll get the players emotionally invested in your world. The kakariko quest with the dad that used to be a yiga clan membr is a good example. Just flesh out your characters for god's sake.

The music was good but the minimalistic approach imo was overdone. nothing wrong with having an overworld theme . i never got tired of listening to them before in past zelda games don't know why they decided to abandon it.

Item destruction was fine by me. kinda wished you could reconstruct or repair some items though.

A much harder final boss. Ganon's final form was a disgrace to fight.

I liked it, but yea it lacked:
- Actual music. Memorable songs. Not fucking piano jingle tinkles.
- More plot beyond just the overarching base story going on in the game. Didn't really get to spend as much time with all the characters introduced as I'd need to care all that much about them.

Remove bug eyes.

This but also make Paya an option

.

>not using the Biggoron Sword

It usually is, most of the time you're throwing weapons away because there are too many of them to carry anyway.

I'd mod all the lolis to be fuckable.
Even the birds

>More enemies
>More incentives than just a shrine or rupees or a middling weapon that will just break anyway
>More accessories and items that do shit. Something that was like pegasus boots or roc's cape or din's fire would be perfect for this
>Dark caves to explore
>Better dungeons

Then the game would be fucking perfect to me.

What you never ate cancer? You missing out mate.

I'm holding out hope they'll do a Majora's Mask style spin off for BotW with a weirder atmosphere with a Koholint Island sort of setting.

Have it directed by Mario Galaxy's director.

Let you have optional party members that you can recruit and romance like kass or sidon

Improve the combat options in general

I love kass etc

I love her too much

Add harems

Yes, yes. This is fine. Add the dating sim element that was apparently gonna be in Ocarina.

>sample
Apparently not enough to save her images properly

>triple the weapon health values
>create a chest you can store shit in your house
>make unique weapons non breakable (stuff you get from doing the 4 main dungeons)

THERE
I
FIXED IT

gdammit im on no fap you bitch

I want to make tender love to Riju

there's also know skull-spider things that knock you off of walls
They would of made climbing much more engaging

>Condense the game world to half the size

And... post ruined

Sample? Gimme the good one then please.

That's the most important point though. BotW's world is too stretched out, it puts too much of a focus on quantity over quality.

Make the brown loli dateable and impregnateable

>BotW's world is too stretched out
Your asshole is stretched out.
The map is full of stuff, what game did you play?

1 - Make weapons last more, or at least have the ability to repair them so you don't need to discard a strong weapon. That would give more random items like ore a bit more use.

2. I would give Link a voice, controversial I know, but I think it would be appropriate if he said a few words at key moments in the story. It would get me pumped if after the King's request to save Zelda, Link answers briefly but firmly: I will.

3. Add dungeons, I thought the 4 beasts were meant to be that but they're just puzzles, they should have had their own bosses who you need to defeat in clever ways because they are a real challenge.

4. Add more music to the game, especially when you're out in Hyrule. Zelda has always had amazing music and its disappointing you cannot ride your horse throughout the fields without having the theme song come on and pump you up to keep going.

>want to explore
>climb a really tall mountain
>find a chest
>its a large flame sword!
In any other game this would be amazing, but in BoTW, its a fucking chore, because I have 5 of those in my inventory that I'll never use because they are finite and not as common as regular swords, yet at the same time because weapons break in 3 to 5 uses, there are too many of them in the whole world

I fucking hate doing a shrine or exploring some place and being rewarded with an weapon in this game, because I know I'll never use it properly or get to enjoy it because it will either break too soon or become a bench warmer in my inventory because its too special of a weapon to use on low level boboklins
I cant even store them in a safe place, the best alternative to that is shield and weapon mounts on the house you have to make in a side quest, and they hold only ONE weapon/shield per mount, so I can save a total of 6 weapons or shields at total
Fuck this mechanic to hell

>The map is full of stuff, what game did you play?
Yay, a korok seed.

Arab women sucking white cock

>Your asshole is stretched out

KEKESTEIN

More like
>get a sword
>it breaks
>get another sword
>also breaks
>get a shit spear
>breaks too
>get a good sword
>breaks
>find a decent sword
>breaks
>finally find the master sword
>not enough hearts
>get some shitty sword
>it breaks
>grind hears while doing this whole song and dance for at least 5 times
>get master sword
>it has a cooldown

This shit aint fun, user

>remove durability system, leave it only for wooden and rusty weapons
>add actual dungeons, leave the 4 beasts as final dungeons or something
>remove half of the shrines, change the rewards for at least 30 of them, giving unique prizes
>leave hearts and stamina pieces as they should be, place them in nice places to encourage rewarding exploration, the retarded orb system was a mistake
>cut korok seeds to 300, replace most puzzle rewards with actual, useful rewards, like heart/stamina pieces or unique gear
>change the final boss entirely, make it a chase or something, that pig was unfinished and lazy at best
>make Zelda playable at some point in the main story, just for pacing purposes and for leaving the boredom of infinite climbing with Link for a while

There's more stuff.
There's monster camps,resources,treasures.
There's plenty to do in the world.
If you just want to get through the game asap and check it off your list, that's fine but the size of the world and its content was the most enjoyable thing in the game to begin with,

I want to fatten up a muscular amazon Gerudo and have a strongfat, sumo amazon gf.

literally fight smarter. most enemies use weapons for you to grab, and most endgame weapons have so much durability that you'd have to bang them into trees and shields to break them fast

There could still be reasons to use other weapons, like you could make it so that some enemies need you to keep your distance with a spear and so the master sword wouldn't be much use.
Then again, there could be stuff like a master spear or a master boomerang that never break and so you end up using those items only, but I think that should be the case, and make you feel like you've certainly accomplished something when you get those weapons.

>change how weapon durability works
>add traditional items such as hookshot, hammer and other awesome shit that makes you feel more powerful once you acquire them
>more traditional style dungeons with good puzzles
>more interesting and unique characters
>more sidequests
>more things in the world other than Korok seeds and shrines
>better framerate
>better music
>more connections and references to past games

Most of that stuff is too repetitive and copypasted though.

...

nigger are you literally retarded or just trolling?
Literally the only thing in the overworld was stupid korok seed puzzles and raiding the same bokoblin/lizalfos camp scattered around the place. that shit is fun a couple of times sure but when you do it for the 50th time it gets stale. they should have added more overworld bosses. maybe have them related to sidequests. no hinox and lynels don't count. all this water yet you can't swim under it. proper fishing? nope. the game suffers from quantity over quality

Sorry, Zelda wins forever

>>add traditional items such as hookshot, hammer and other awesome shit that makes you feel more powerful once you acquire them

that stuff isn't in the game?

Maybe,but I enjoyed it quite a lot.
If I had to change stuff,it would be a better weapons system,ACTUAL swimming not this garbage,a better story, actual dungeons ALONGSIDE what we have.
And a way to romance Paya

>five or so new enemy types (Darknuts would be great)
>one or two more region-exclusive bosses (in the vein of Moldugas)
>way more caves, there were a few tiny ones around the map but I want a few mini cave systems here and there, some that give shortcuts through mountains and whatnot and some that are like mini dungeons, think LttP
>two, maybe three proper dungeons, with their design somewhere between BoTW Hyrule Castle and a traditional Zelda dungeon, with sequence breaks possible due to the sandbox-y mechanics but discouraged enough by design to make breaking the rules feel particularly satisfying
>make the Champions' weapons forgeable into an unbreakable state for some considerable price (i.e. lots of gems + a high rupee cost + maybe some sidequest)
Bam, now the game is 11/10 Game of the Decade

>what is elemental attribute
>what is unbreakable enemy armor that can only be destroyed with impact and resistant to blades
>what is long vs short distances suitable to the enemies you're fighting

this is what happens when you don't play other games in the series, even Link's Awakening on Game Boy didn't allow you to use the Master Sword in all situations

I forgot one thing:

>make Link look like a strong warrior, not a 16 year old fuccboi

Add a couple more quests to hebra and that's it.

...

> when weapons break they do not disappear they just do half damage
> make stronger weapons rare and replace korok seeds with said weapons
> all sword swings cost stamina and you can regain it by dodging attacks instead of flurry rush
> cut shrines to 60 and replace the others with 6-7 zelda style dungeons that reward you with shieka slate upgrades and unique weapons and items like an ocarina that can change the weather/time of day
> more unique bosses and regular enemies
> dark link boss that works similar to the end from mgs3 but traverses the whole map where he can obtain rare weapons before you and the only way to get them is to defeat him also steals weapons from your house if you leave them there

Why are birds so cool?

(and hot?)

user, I dont want to use a shitty bobokling sword or some shit some other monster is using
I want to use MY sword and I dont want to have to go all the way to hyrule castle to get another knight sword or something better when I am just exploring around the desert
The only smart fighting in this game is not fighting, its why you see so many nip players doing bomb only runs, because your shika slate bombs are more reliable than any weapon in this game

Either remove durability and make weapons sidegrades or keep it, but reduce the game between weapons. Like, from 1 to 15 oe 20 damage dmg.

Add oar based boats. Add rod fishing. Add a pet system like a more in depth stable.

Reduce the amount of everything the game normaly drowns you in to about 20%, maybe less, but make the effects of all the meals stronger or last longer.

Remove the ability to increase stamina. If you want to get over obstacles you shouldn't you have to rely on special gear, food or creative use of physics and other mechanics.

Iron out the performance. Add some bells and whistles if possible.

Anything beyond that would be fluff. Not necessarily useless, but this is the more substantial stuff.

Only reasonable response in the thread.
Though I wouldn't make the Champions weapons completely unbreakable; rather the upgrade should last a long time and go into a semi-permanent cooldown like the Master Sword when used up, requiring minor repairs to use again.

Mandatory gay marriage scene between Link and Sidon.

>increase enemy variety
>handful of shrines are at least mid length dungeons
>add a store where you choose the items it sells (by bringing it one) and it'll replicate them based on the blood moon cycle, like Atelier games

>Cuck fish getting cucked by her brother
I'd be okay with it only if Midna is forced to watch.

Use the master sword, then. I like the change to the formula, and I think it adds to the experience of subsistance in the wild.

>hit 8 things with it
>cooldown
>hit 8 things with it
>cooldown

Still not fun, also you cant get it right away, you need to grind hearts to be able to get it first

Did you mean Mipha?

I can't wait for Islam to take over and all gays are executed

> Improve monsters' AI
> Nerf electric weapons.
