You would format if you were smart or cared. Instead you will just beat off and fall asleep tonight.
Would you also recommend burning down your home if you found a roach in your kitchen?
>this happens when you download a porn game
If you were smart or cared. instead you will just beat off and fall asleep tonight.
>It happens while you're playing Roblox

>reformat one day because of a wealth of other problems (good o'l bonzai buddy)
>it's gone
To this day I wonder what ominous bullshit was happening there.
>humming by your computer
>there's a knock on your door
Haha this happened to me the other day, knocking the box with my neckbeard knee and the CPU starts going full reactor speed lol.
Is this real?
>not "Press 'F' to pay respects."
>single player game asks to be let through the Windows Firewall
What exactly causes this? I know its malware, but why can't the program just do it in the background? Why does it need to pop up for a split second?
>I know its malware, but why can't the program just do it in the background?
Not always. Well actually, I take that back.
github.com
>it's a pirated one
Can't you use event viewer to figure out what it is ??
How is the CLI popping up a sign of malware? For games, its more efficient to just open the CLI for a quick line instead of having to open up another separate exe to just complete one task.
Do people still associate the command line with hacking? Fuck is this 2012 still?
>programs stopping computer from powering off
>there is none
Every single time. Why the fuck do they do this?
This.
It's most probably the windows updater user. Unless you are an idiot and some how got your of infected in fucking 2017
>accidentally skip some dialogue with no way to repeat it
Looks like its time to delete the same s start over.
It's usually analytics. Very few game devs actually care about piracy. Our studio actively goes against publishers in making it easier to crack our stuff.
Anyways, analytics are useful to devs to find bugs, balance issues, that kind of thing. Needs to get through firewall sometimes
Well since im here, Is it normal for a cracked game to install Steam?
I just got a new PC and I do not remember installing or downloading steam at all.
My system keeps tabbing into the desktop, even if I'm in a full-screened game approx. once a day. Whenever it happens, it always happens twice, with a 10 second(ish) delay.
What can I do to troubleshoot before resorting to reformat? Google gives me absolutely nothing.

Come to think of it this would happen on my Windows 7 build before it rekt itself. Happened for a couple weeks before I got a few blue screens and finally enough of a corrupted OS it died. GL OP.

Yeah. Although I'm not a big tech guy who can cover all his bases but I did do most of the basic shit like that. I really can't find what's doing it.

>see icon in desktop appear

Was fine though but it flattened my glasses
Your fault for using Windows 10
Why would you go out of your way for that
> svchost.exe
If it opens and closes immediately that means it exited. You should be more worried if it stays open for any length of time.
I'm on Windows 7, good friend. Fuck W10.
>pirate game
>open setup
>smack my bitch up starts playing
>mouse cursor flashing loading symbol on and off rapidly
>nothing showing up in task manager
What is this shit?
>cursor starts moving by itself
>someone remotely takes over my computer
>start clicking around
>try to open task manager
>hit escape a bunch of times
>cursor moves to command prompt
>they enter some code
>computer shuts off
>try to turn it back on
>goes straight to black screen
fuck
Idk that sounds annoying and kinda spooky if it's happening at certain intervals or times. Double check permissions and processes when it happens. Screenshot your normal load and as soon as it tabs you screenshot that shit again or something. I'd reformat that bitch.
>The screen freezes
>constant half second sound playing over and over
I used to have something similar, but it's gone now for some reason. I guess it was some auto updater, maybe even Nvidia looking for drivers
>cursor moving by itself
>just "shaking" on screen, slowly moving in one direction

>already ordered a new mouse
>realize the mouse is just almost imperceptibly being pulled down by the weight of it's cable that dangles behind my desk, combined with a new, smooth mousepad I got around the time it started happening
Use Autoruns, it'll tell you anything that launches automatically, turn off everything that is absolutely not necessary. Then turn off some extra shit if you want.
>game freezes
>try to close it and everything disappears from the desktop
>reboot
>still nothing in the desktop
Tried to check processes when it's happening, but you know how it is, Task Manager has 8 billion counts of
>svchost.exe
and whatnot, so it's hard to spot anything out of the ordinary. No CPU/RAM anomalies when it happens, though.
That's what I've been thinking. I have AMD, and although I still prefer their hardware, their drivers these days are pretty fucking awful.
>computer restarts itself while I'm gone for 5 minutes
>come back and it's full of adware
>alt-tab out of a japanese game
>havn't saved in a while
My friend has the same exact problem, but he's on W10. Minimized to desktop randomly, always repeats once after several seconds. He's got Nvidia though, so probably not the GPU drivers, then. No clue what does it.

3 weeks and the cunts wont give me an answer or a refund.
Computers spook me out. Don't know why, they always have since I was a kid. They're so fucking fragile and people don't know basic shit about them. Imagine if everyone who drove their car didn't know how to fill up their gas or knew they needed oil changes. That's like 3 billion people worldwide.
>start up Freelancer after 2 years

you gotta unplug your internet the moment that starts happening you retard
Isn't that shit like day 1 basic IT maintenance?
Daily backups, even twice daily if it can be done. Shadowsaves (i think thats the term) for minor fuck ups so people can restore lost work if they manage to save over an important file. Niggas should be in panic mode, worst case scenario is that you lose a day of work.
We getting hyperhaxed, I guess.
>check my computer's users list
>see my name there like normal
>but there's another username comprised of nothing but random numbers and letters

You can usually just google and download the exact files missing when that happens. Usually.

Why yes it is basic shit - so basic in fact, people just assume they work fine and ignore it and never test, or are actual full retards who don't bother updating to newer stuff for better backups.
Just within the past few years, the tech for backups have gotten astronomically better. Instead of simple 2 week retention of a once a day backup, you can easily do hourly backups for the span of over a year for the same kind of storage. For those willing to pay big bucks there's other stuff that can back up and replicate offsite every 15 seconds. Shits cool yo.
reminds me of Just Cause 3

Whew, lad. Always keep your main E-mail account secure with phone-identification and linked to a back-up E-mail, folks.
Your fault for using Windows Update then
>alt+tab game at wrong time
>freezes PC with black screen
>alt+f4 doesn't work
>can open task manager but mouse doesn't work and can't seen anything except taskbar
>have to blindly navigate task manager with the keyboard deleting tasks until I hit the game
Why can't devs embrace virtual full screen?
>having a roach in your kitchen like an animal instead of in your ps4 like a gentleman

It's not stupid if it works.

I was about to ask that myself. Grief is a hell of a drug

I wish I could afford college. IT seems like the most piss-easy & comfy field to get into. I probably have half the skillset for it to already.
sure kiddo
>randomly decide to check the task manager
>what the hell are all these processes

lkFn2noDF.exe
No idea, guess it happens more than people realize. Also:
>Decide to delete account
>Skype says it will also delete my hotmail for some reason
>Go to microsoft's site to separate them
>It says it's done on skype's site
>Go to skype's site
>This feature is currently unavailable
Never again.
I still worry, but nothing bad has happened yet
>just sitting at home
>get message on phone from steam app
>says something about someone from a new computer is logging into my steam acount
>which means they have my username and password
>but they need to access my email to get in
>they still havn't fingured out my email
>this happens about every other month
>still nothing has happened
>mfw
You don't need college. Certifications is all you need. Go to school part-time, knock out a cert, maybe look into doing a few online, and you'll have your foot in the door. College is the biggest meme; it's only needed if you go into a hard-science imo. IT is blue collar sector of white-collar jobs.
You should probably write a small program that logs newly created process and window activations then
>alt-tab
>game is glitched for the rest of the session

>purple-black textures on windows (Source)
I don't miss 00's PC gaming.

It turned out that the S7 has shortcuts to open the camera and switch the camera mode. All of them on the home button.
I restored my phone to factory defaults that night.
