Dedicating an entire Nintendo Direct to a mobile game for Animal Crossing

>Dedicating an entire Nintendo Direct to a mobile game for Animal Crossing

why?

Because Animal Crossing is a pretty big franchise, and it's going to be on mobile shit which is a big deal for Japs.

it's probably going to be their first mobile hit and will bring them millions, that's why

it's gonna be the next super mario run

Giving the proto-mobile game a sequel in mobile seems kinda dumb.

why not?

Is it confirmed to be 100% mobile and not just a precursor to another 3DS or maybe Switch game?

first mobile hit?

Could be fun, I like the idea of booting it up whenever just to dick around.

>gacha for neighbors
>neighbors can leave
Get ready for salt.

If it's like past AC Directs it's going to be hyper bole and possibly and interview with the chick who's been fucking up the franchise.

you now know the "direct" in nintendo direct refers to direct marketing

>first
Pokego made more than enough money and Fire Emblem hit top grossing all the time.

>announces a new AC game
>it costs $10
>another "build your own town" game like 1372819 others available
>barely any content before it gets repetitive and entirely RNG based, just like the other Nintendo mobile "games"
what are the odds Sup Forums?

> Animal Crossing is a pretty big franchise
lol

no shit

Nintendo also had a Fire Emblem direct dedicated to the mobage but also announced FE Warriors and a mainline for next year. Id expect an annoucement for an Animal Cross Switch.

>this game is gonna delay the switch game

>Tune in for a roughly 15-minute Animal Crossing Mobile Direct video presentation focused exclusively on the upcoming Animal Crossing mobile title. There will be no updates on any other topics including other mobile, Nintendo Switch or Nintendo 3DS software.
>exclusively on the upcoming Animal Crossing mobile title
>There will be no updates on any other topics including other mobile, Nintendo Switch or Nintendo 3DS software.

...

Nintendo's strategy with mobile games puts a Switch Animal Crossing announcement sometime in the near future, and that's a good thing.

>first mobile hit
Did you miss Pokemon Go or something? Not to mention, Fire Emblem is also raking in some pretty big bucks from what I hear.

Is this a clickbait headline?

Nintendo has already stated their mobile games are mostly to advertise the series as a whole. Mario Run's initial hype brought Mario back into the spotlight and used to hype the shit out of Odyssey.

So how's Fire emblem heroes? When i first saw it I kinda just skimmed through and thought it was some shitty f2p thing licensed by nintendo but taking a second look now it operates just like a regular fire emblem. How bad are the microtransactions though?

its 15 minutes

Same as a usual mobage. If you mean how is the in-game currency [orbs], its very easy to build up. Intelligent Systems gives out a lot of orbs in addition to the gacha being more generous than most. I think the promotiom is still going on where you can select a free 5* unit that is extremely powerful.

>introducing Leaf Crates
>$0.99 for a key
>chance to unlock a sweet piece of furniture or clothing

pokemon go didn't make nintendo that much money because they had to share the revenue

cuz teh switch is mobile

This is one of few franchises I think might be better off on mobile.

it's a huge 10 million copies + franchise, only pokemon and mario are more popular nintendo franchises

Nintendo's stock prices soared after pokemon go the fuck are you talking about

Don't be ridiculous.

They won't be called crates.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO

get the lube ready.

...

Because Animal Crossing is made for phones.

>casual by design, no fail state
>idle game, encourages playing a little every day
>stylized low-fi graphics make sense for a mobile game
>inherently a social game making cell phones a natural choice for a platform

>Roll Ankha banner
>get spooked by Olivia
200 nook bucks well spent

gezz, talk about basic taste

I'd rather that than loot crates. Hope we get a way to earn free currency though like ads or something

>Having to roll for villagers

Fuck. At least they can't be ruined by some shit artist and then powercrept to oblivion.

You'll be able to pick your favorite villager as a personal virtual pet buddy on your phone and play little minigames and converse and shit with them.

Then they milk you for everything you have because you won't get enough bells playing for free to keep them always happy. It will literally prey on your wallet through your conscience.

Mobile is the future user, it killed handheld gaming forever after all

I want out of this timeline

>rolling for villagers
>not rolling where the villagers get to stay in your town

Thinking about it I doubt this will have lootboxes given the type of game it is. I've never known town builders to have lootboxes bcus it doesn't make much sense to put them in that type of game. Also yes there are villagers but let's be real aside from style none of the villagers have much of anything going for them so if anything they might just keep the camp system and not charge you for villagers. There'll most likely be overpriced building and clothes though

>not rolling for how long the villagers will stay in your town

It'll have gacha

It'll be a success because of me. I'm sorry anons, but I like AC too much to play this free. I'm most likely going to buy the full version and their gacha until I get a perfect village. And I'm going to love it.
Accept your fates.

Do you think they'll give us an entire game or something full of microtransaction bullshit?

>why?

because they have nothing else to show. its only 15 minutes long anyways.

and then promptly went down

Something in between maybe. I'm wondering if they'll extend building time just to encourage you to buy speed boosts..

I hope it had Amiibo card functionality

How? Most of the target audience would be apple goyims, iPhones don't support NFC.
At least, not the half-paid iPhones the market is filled with. Not even all Androids do.

A) Money
B) A platform with countless millions of userbase as opposed to the Switch's...what...4-6 million?

ANNOUNCING THE NINTENDO PHONE

>yfw the announcer says "Animal Crossing Mobile will work with Animal Crossing for the Switch, but more news about that will be given at a later date."

>casual ""game"" that appeals heavily to women and children
>large roster of characters
>most recognizable character from the franchise is a jew that actively pursuits to nickel and dime you
AC is right at home on phones

I hope it takes on an isometric camera look like in Animal Crossing GC as opposed to say a 2D Rendition of your town.

God I hope this doesn't mean the series is moving to mobile.
I really want AC on Switch.

>wait years for more ac
>its a fucking mobile shitter
jewtendo never fails us

on the wiki there is a quote saying that this mobile game is made to interact with a main game in the franchise. most of us assume that means switch title.

I'm gonna fuckinf miss him bros
Who's gonna make a parody Miyamoto account to make up for it
Or reggie

>You can pay off Tom Nook's debt with REAL MONEY!

The instant people realized it was split with niantic, google, and the pokemon company, their shares dropped right back down.

It's gonna be New Leaf ultra-lite with gacha shit for villagers and furniture.
Screencap this as proof.

>he thinks there's no console announcement
kek, what an idiot

they said so

Probably going to be an expanded concept of Animal Island on Gamecube.

You guys don't seriously believe they won't tease a Switch version, do you? Otherwise, why would they specifically say there wouldn't be any news on one? "Oh yeah guys, don't tune in, we're not showing anything good off ;)"

if only u had the inteljence to read the thread

Nintendo didn't make Pokemon go and they hardly owned any stock in the game itself. Nintendo doesn't own Pokemon, they only own the character names.

"We would like to announce that Animal Crossing Mobile will now be called Animal Crossing Mobile Home. Please expect it soon."

They said the same thing about fire emblem and still announced the console version in the direct, you mongrels

[Citation needed]

Because it's a 15 minute Direct.

The direct is still on the channel, my favorite homosexual

so there is hope? yay

Every ACfags and there moms are tuning into that direct to see what all the hubbub is about. I'm 99% positive Switch AC will be teased since they have a fucking full 15 minutes. At the very very least the mobile game will just tie into New Leaf

Please no

The good news is that, like Pokemon Sun / Moon, it means they plan to use this to enhance sales of the real game. So we are 100% getting a Switch Animal Crossing semi-soon.

It absolutely is.

Here are 14 reasons this isn't a clickbait headline. You won't even believe number 8.

I'm generally curious as to what this will be. I mean an entire direct for it plus a mobile game. What could they even do with a mobile game? AC go? AC fates?

I wonder what the gameplay will be. Maybe there's a stamina system and you spend it on minigames or instances that grant you Bells.

>I don't play it therefore it's not popular

>they have to say that they won't talk about anything besides mobile shit

hahaha Nintendo is fucking retarded

Nintendo doesn;t get much from Pokemon Go. Most of it goes to Niantic and The Pokemon Company

How long until it starts?

Its literally a system seller

Bet they use the money this makes to create a Switch AC

>Post YFW you pay Nook's debt with real money

>implying I spent a single red cent on this weeb shit
>implying I didn't play to just get platinum coins for my Nintendo

Hopefully there's some tease of an upcoming AC game for switch
