The Witcher 3 worth my hard earned neoliberal pesos?

The Witcher 3 worth my hard earned neoliberal pesos?
Never played the others

It's really good. Definitely worth playing.

You should have bought it when it was on a 60% sale a few days ago.

it's a damn GOG game, you can pirate it so effortlessly, no cracks or silly shit needed.

Pirate it and find out, give money to the devs if you like it. I'm not a fan of this but I also want you to try it user, personally didn't like it so I can't recommend the game but a lot of people really really love it so that's my best suggestion

>Never played the others
then no.

its alright. geralts voice is retarded though

If you like movie games like the last of us or uncharted than this is basically an open world movie game. If you like roleplaying or good combat than this isn't the game because you can only fight with a single weapon the entire game and the game is the most handholding braindead """RPG""" out there.

Pretty good. It triggers fags mighty fiercely though and I've never understood why.

>you like roleplaying or good combat
Elex threads have been up all day so the answer to that is obviously no.

I will give it a try then

Only have a pc that only runs L4D2 on low, i was thinking about the ps4 version, is there so much diference?

it's really necessary have played the others?

while it is not like Fo4 one, it's fine

>you can only fight with a single weapon the entire game
lol

Yes
The other ones too. Assassins of Kings is magnificent too and not so different from 3.

>is there so much diference?
of course there is, dude. any game that doesn't have a requirement in platform parity is going to have better performance on PC.
also
>diference
>it's really necessary have played the others?
no, but you will do yourself a huge disservice in just joining a series in the end of not only a vidya series, but also after a book series.

Easily one of the best games ever made.

The combat is dog shit awful. The rest is okay.

>Best games
>Has horrible gameplay

What's bad about the game play?

you opened my mind user, better save save the money for a good pc and play the entire franchise

The combat is awful

>combat is the only facet that makes up gameplay

top kek.

geralt is hot af that's all that matters

Not if your good at it.

it has easily the best soundtrack i've ever seen in a game, if that's your thing

>>combat is the only facet that makes up gameplay

Yes, it is. Do you think walking around, holding down left trigger and pressing A next to red highlighted items gameplay?

>Not if your good at it.

That doesn't make any sense

The combat is shit if you don't know how to dodge.
The combat is passable if you know how to dodge instead of rolling all over the place when fighting human sized enemies.
The roll is for big shit like giants and gryphons and shit, by the time you walk back up to the bandit he's going to have all his stamina back and another attack ready. Use the fucking sidestep.

Arguably my favorite game of all time.

get gud

It's okay. It suffers from the usual shitty stuff that open world causes. You can download a few mods that make it less aggravating to play. The combat isn't Skyrim-tier, but it isn't very good either.

all those are gameplay
might not be engrossing but it's still gameplay

i'd recommend all of them, the first game has a sick story, the second is a prelude, not very good but decent

>neoliberal
I think you won't find it fun. Not enough xirs and ugly women.

I never played the others and didn't feel lost or anything

it's an amazing game and you can get it all for dirt cheap

>he game is the most handholding braindead """RPG""" out there.
The other stuff is debateable but this sadly is true. It just is not an RPG at all. Still fun though.

It's a little too grindy imo.

>get gud

I played on Death March, how do i get any gudder?

the combat is a super shit ARPG that places way too much important on gear stats and level differences. The game might as well not have any enemies, it would probably be better

It's 100+ hours and then you can replay it to do the opposite of everything you just did.

> he hasn't done Philipa Eilhart mode

I think it does.
The combat is bad in this game. You learn which enemy can be counter-attacked and which enemy‘s attack must be dodge in the first few hours of the game and you just repeat for another 100 hours until you beat the game.
The details, graphics, side story, and even the little mini game called gwent were quite worth your money though.
Just get it when its on sales.

Combats pretty solid at low level on death march. Once you understand the game, I definitely recommend putting it on minimum and button mashing, though.

Can bad combat ruin a game for you?

Cause Witcher 3's combat, while not horrendous, it's that great. Everything else about it is fucking amazing though in nearly every single possible way if you're a fan of RPGs.

>neoliberal
Neck yourself you worthless faggot.

Get Shadow of War instead

Literally don't do this. Bait.

The Witcher 3 has poo combat, not fun at all

I like it, it looks like how it is discribed in the books. Gracefully, dodging an pirouettes and shit.

the middle earth games can be played with the screen off. very lazily developed games.

I can't play it with the screen off

R u casul or sumthin

>*whistles for magic horse*
>autoruns on road to quest marker

>"Mhmm....giant slash marks all over the victim....a Drowner™, gotta be"
>"Come on, Roach"
>*follows nose*
>guys in Drowner™ costumes appear
>"OY BLOODY 'ELL FUCKING CUNT SHIT FUCK CUNT, IT'S A FUCKIN' WITCHER IT IS! GET "EM"
>"Shit you stink" ALALALALALALALALA *sets guys on fire and they stumble and recover immediately, does a cinematic slash and cuts guys in half"

>"Drowning in Danger" Complete AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
>10 crowns received

That it's not Dark fucking Souls apparently.

Suicidal weebs derive obscene amounts of pleasure from dying 200 times per hour in a storyless game where every character looks like a hobo.

Neoliberals aren't SJWs, user. They're another breed of faggots altogether, the kind who read about cyberpunk corporate-ruled dystopias and think "This is how the world should be".

whats the best witcher 2 ending to go into 3 with?

The game is biased towards the Roche path and Letho gets a unique quest if you let him live.

I started the game excited from all the praise it's received, but I really stalled out after a while in Novigrad.
They went all out with the quests but it's a bit too much.
And since you can't really roleplay through scenarios it kinda all feels like a chore.
Plus the combat is just not enjoyable for me.
Gwent was fun for a while tho.

>tldr: game has a lot of content with big budget but was rarely fun for me

I chuckled at work you faggot, now I'll be getting whipped to the blood for not working.

Idk. I'll get my $1500 gayming PC tomorrow and bought TW3 when it was -60%. Though I'll probably end up playing pubg and others more than Witcher. When all is said and done I wish it was fucking tomorrow already.

all aspects of interactivity is gameplay user

Make sure you get the GOTY edition because the expansions are amazing and arguably even better than the main game.

Also make sure you switch to alternate controls in the options. I don't know why they didn't make that default in one of the patches because the original controls were horrid.

>no DRM
>asking if it's worth the money

>Sup Forums praises Souls and Bloodborne for its combat
>shits on Witcher 3's even though it's exactly the same hack & slash + dodge/roll shit

i don't get it

if you havent played the others, honestly not worth
only good thing about witcher 3 was the cutscenes, everything else sucked, if you have no idea what the story is or even the premise of what a witcher is, its kinda stupid

You'll probably hate it considering the brown/black people are not exactly 50% of the npc's.

But you need to play Witcher on hard to get more out of it.

I just bought it during the sale, was recommended it on here. I've enjoyed it so far, I'm about 25 hours in, and this is coming from someone who for whatever reason always quit TW2 right around where you choose sides.
If it's still on sale right now, I'd recommend it. 20 bucks for it is more than a fair price.

Don't need to play the other games.

it's worth it for the waifus

There's at least 2 people in this thread continuously shitting on this game because they have nothing better to do.

Good choice

Keep letho alive and side with Roche.

Because you get cool scenes where Letho joins up with you in witcher 3 and helps you out for a bit

But Iorveth's path is objectively better and lets you save both of them

I never did Iorveths path but I know he doesn't show up in 3 but Roche does

It's on GoG, so it's free. Why would you pay for something that's free?

I think that the issue is that once you leave White Orchard you've seen all the combat has to bring besides Alternate Signs which are mostly shit unless its the Yrden or Igni signs

It's a game with a good main quest a terrible side quests.

I put it aside for over 6 months because I went through a sidequest combo that made me hate the game, then came back to play the main quests and loved it again.

DON'T PLAY THE SIDEQUESTS

>talk to random person marked on the map
>AYYY MY BROTHER WENT MISSING RIGHT OVER THERE
>walk a few yards to a random part of the road
>try to interact with a body, can't
>activate batman vision
>SLASH MARKS ON THE BODY, DROWNERS, GOTTA BE
>follow red dots on the radar (at this point you will have turned it on just to power through the sidequests)
>this takes way too long
>finally arrive at some cave
>DROWNER'S NEST, GOTTA BE, HAVE TO DESTROY IT
>*LALALALALALALALA* hack and slash them mindlessly
>auto-drive horse back to quest giver
>I HAVE BAD NEWS, HE IS DEAD
>AYYYYYY HE WAS A GOOD BOI
>10 crowns received
>Drowner's in Crossroad quest updated
>Drowner's in Crossroad quest ended
>repeat for the next 5000 quests

I'm not even kidding this is pretty much the only sidequest model there is, if you go through one of them you will have already experienced what they all have to show. The rest is just a chore.

It's a great game. Just do the main quest and side quests, don't worry about PoI since they're mainly just fluff unless you're a completionist. Blood and Wine is Kino.

Who has the tighter puss: Triss or Yennefer?

While you're doing that I'd highly recommend reading the books. I think the audiobooks are also finished if you prefer that. They're not necessary, but it will help you understand certain events, and appreciate a bunch of callbacks.

It would be too white hetero male for you. Bioware games would be more your thing.

OP here, with neoliberal i referred to the economic model anons, see the pepe la rana

Wich are the good ones?

did you just remade that pasta with just few different phrases? why?

I didn't, that's my literal experience.

Sadly that pasta is spot on.

yeah if you like good games

The first two books (The Last Wish and A sword of destiny) are a must, they're basically short story collections. The other books are all part of one saga (except the newest one that came out in the 2010's, but that hasn't been translated yet). I'd say try out Blood of Elves, and if you're not hooked you can always just read a summary.

This is a good joke.

Yes you should buy this game instead of food to be honest
