They'd be insane not to, considering how well the 3DS version sold and the how well the Switch is selling. So I'm assuming yes.

They already said that the mobile game will be communicating to the console game.

This is literally just one step closer.

Dude you are like 2 years late for those news.

Almost like we've know about the mobile game for longer then the switch or something.

nigger there's a direct in like 14 hours

inb4 mobile version is free but with microtransactions to unlock everything but the switch version has everything from the get-go

I seriously hope they remake all of the jukebox music, I thought new leaf would have the same songs - but better quality. But instead we got ACWW's midi-tier versions again.

not that they're bad, I just hoped for some fresh versions.

imagine instead of this: youtube.com/watch?v=tNBif3PEM2o

we got this: youtube.com/watch?v=xybLsPwa-HU

obviously with the vocals during the live version though

>Miitomo (Android & IOS: March 2016
>Miitopia (3ds): December 2016

>Super Mario Run (IOS): December 2016
>Mario Maker (3DS): December 2016

>Fire emblem heroes (Android & IOS): February 2017
>Fire emblem Echoes (3DS): April 2017

Nintendo uses mobile games primarily to advertise their franchises. I think we can fairly assume a Switch version of Animal Crossing is on the way.
Get hyped for Amiibo festival Switch!

I think even they realize Amiibo Festival was a mistake, seeing as they ported the only part people somewhat liked (the island survival thing) as part of the free update for New Leaf

So long as it's relaxing and has comfy music, I'm all for it. They need to release a Switch game already though.

He means that we've known about this mobile game for like 2 years. OP's wording is saying it as if it just got announced with the upcoming Direct. Obviously they'll have one on Switch eventually, alongside this thing

We sure as hell better. The Switch is pretty much the perfect system for it since it can be both a handheld and a console at the same time. Having a mobile-only game would be the biggest disappointment.

>mfw New Leaf 2 for the 3DS :^)

>more gachashit

Never played an AC game, so having on the phone would be nice

I wonder how the pay model is going to work. Nintendo previously said that they were willing to experiment on mobile pricing, but after Mario Run bombed and Heroes was a runaway success they clearly are going back on that (hence why they delayed all their mobile games)

It'd be more like a minigame, so don't expect it to be anything like the real thing. For all we know, this could be a fucking puzzle game with an AC skin

Now THAT's what I call a Monkey's Paw.

the only reason heroes was a success because they copied the same model as granblue and fate/go. selling waifus as microtransactions.

I dunno, I wouldn't be surprised if we get a sort of substantial AC game since it isn't something that requires a ridiculous amount of writing or particularly difficult to produce assets.
I mean they made an entire 3DS game for interior design, I wouldn't put it past Nintendo to make an AC game with micro-transactions that Tom Nook offers as "Sub Prime Loans"

today I will remind them

I'm surprised many """"""""fans""""""" didnt know about this.

This game was announced years ago, though. It's nothing new. If you haven't heard about it then you're just an uninformed moron. I don't expect AC on Switch for another year or two. These things, they take time. I think they've come and said that the hardest thing to do isn't develop the "game" part of AC as much as it is writing and translation. I want them to do a better job with writing and interaction as opposed to NL's dialogue. I'm not expecting *2deep4U* nonsense, but I do want some more engaging conversations... with my digital animal friends.

it was ages ago and people forgot that nintendo had more mobile stuff on the way after heroes

ITS OKAY IF NINTENDO DOES

Fuck switch than. I don't care about Mario or another sandbox game I just want to play Animal Crossing in my bed.

>need to roll for your favorite villagers
>they move out the following week

So we are hoping that this isnt a full fledged game on the phone right? Because if that happens, that's less chance that there will be a switch version

why would you want AC on a shitty underpowered tablet when you can have it on phone and take it anywhere, in 1080p+ because of more powerful devices?

but user

you can take the switch anywhere too in 1080p

>in 1080p
t. retard

That would work, all tools cost money, all items cost money, upgrading houses cost money.
It would make it work on phones without hurting the real games

is this user implying phones can play games in 1080p?

its probably just happy home designer with microtransaction gacha shit

...

They can.

Also anyone hoping it's an actual animal crossing game? I'd be so disappointed if it's just mini games

no, let it be some fun spinoff thats fun to play, and since its gonna have connectivity with consoles, you can probably transfer stuff to the switch version whenever that comes out

Of course we are. But the mobage was announced ages ago, and it's easily possible that they focused on it more or before the switch version because of how popular FE became, or how they FINALLY noticed how gachas are waterfalls of cash.
Animal Crossing is an extremely well doing series, and it' took a while to come to 3DS too.

>gacha for neighbors
>5* Ankha
>neighbor moves away

>Roll after saving bells
>Nothing but Rockos, Ponchos and Anicotties

Fuck my life all I want is Francine and her sister to come hooooooome

fuck id spend so much money i hope not

I'm from the future, here's what will happen

>game takes place on houseboats whose interiors you can customize and pose your villager in
>have the ability to fish, which you can sell to Kapp'n's for in-game currency, obviously Bells
>gacha element in the form of fishing up random furniture, buying better, consumable hooks get you better items
>can occasionally fish up clothes, which must be hung up to dry before being wearable
>Very rare chance to find Supearls, which can be traded in for unique clothes and furniture from Gracie's boat, the Yacht Couture

I hope it's not gay. I actually do want something to pass the time on my phone, but an Animal Crossing mobile game screams microtransaction bullshit. I'd rather it just be $5 or something.

the mobile games are just meant to advertise their actual games

for now, at least

*didn't care

This is the only thing that filled my lust for animal town building games. If AC NL kept me playing for a year and so did this so far but if AC mobile is trash or too heavy on micro guess im sticking to this...

Mobile is where AC belongs. Its literally perfect for mobile.

I agree, it belongs on mobile.
Mobile consoles.
Like the 3DS or the Switch.

>buy wooden chair only $0.99
>debt bundle: pay off your house now for only $14.99 and get a free hat

It will most likely be the most basic type of microtrans you see in city/town builders being pay x amount for this building and y amount to expand land. Nothing else from that really

>YFW AC on mobile is even less of a video game and more of digital chores than normal.

The Switch has been out for less than a year, to front load Animal Crossing now in the same year as Zelda and Mario would be a really bad move.

this

That's why we'll get it late next year

>none of those games worth playing
Damn. Makes you think

People who like Animal Crossing like digital chores. Literally every mobage feels like digital chores to some extent though. They all try to encourage people to log in daily.

Post yfw it's a full mobile game and no switch game is being made

Good, why waste resources on an AC Switch game when you can make the mobile one for cheap and rake in more money?
That will mean more resources goes to actual games.

Animal Crossing is the ideal game for smart phones, I hope they don't fuck it up.

To be fair animal crossing really does feel more like a mobile game -microtransactions

>airs at 5AM for me
n-not like I wanted to see it anyway

...

Any chance that there won't be a gambling with real money aspect?

>Miitopia
>not worth playing
So you either have no friends or imagination.

why do people like furfag shit? rune factory is 100X better.

holy shit
this is great because they wont try to sell a nintendo only product like the gba or e-reader

Rune Factory lets you actually fuck subhumans. Animal Crossing is just cute shit.

Source?

>yaught couture
Good pun user.

I'm down with this idea though.

Honestly I think this will be more like happy home designer though as that is what the main demographic of AC in Japan loved. So perhaps they'll upload the city aspect of HHD to the servers and then using your switch you can travel into your HHD area like in City Folk. You could then buy furniture and stuff displayed in the city and use the services in the city (hairdresser, clothing shop, etc.)

Whatever it is I hope all regions are on the same server like FEH. No more region exclusive items.

>Miitomo is the life simulator
>Mario Run is the runner
>FEH is the gacha

what niche will ACM be?

Town builder or some godawful social shit with dressup/furniture gachas like LINE PLAY

>nintendies will defend this
>they got hostile when people said nintendo should bring games to pc
>now they got muh mobile app microtransaction future for nintendo games
well deserved you fucking cucks

said OP, as he posts from phone

at least wait to see if it's free before shitposting user kun

FEH had microtransactions but Miitomo is completely free. It could go either way.

>mobile.twitter.com/

Also we've known since yesterday that it was going to be a phone game. When Nintendo announced the Direct, they explicitly stated that it would be a phone game with no Switch or 3DS content discussed

Nobody has any reason to bump this thread from here on out

Miitomo also has microtransactions.

Friend simulator

Animal Crossing as is. Its already mobile-tier as is.

FEH is fun though and is probably one of the best time wasters you can get on a phone.

Geeze, this is the only thing that makes sense.

How many hours left

iphones are the ultimate console though
>better graphics than 3DS
>lots of indie games
>great variety of genres
>actual effort put into them

9 1/2

*That means more resources goes to more mobile games

They're not used to high quality phone games, it's ok, they'll learn eventually just like the fire emblem community learned

>spent at least 100$ to get your favorite units
Gachashit is literally unacceptable

I wish I could bookmark stuff like this on my phone

>being to much of a weak brainlet to save orbs for your favorites
Sitting on a comfy nearly 300 orbs and still managed to get my favs, I got Sigurd, Eldigan, and Inigo most recently so you can't even argue that I never roll

My phone can play games in UHD. Not that I'd notice the difference at anything higher than 720p but it's a thing.

Fuck off shill. Gacha is cancer in general, who the fuck want that worst aspect in AC?

That's why I bought a switch so we better

>Pay $20 to pull the lever of a slot machine 4 times for a 1 in 100 chance of getting the specific character/village/unit you want

Funny how people see nothing wrong with this

youtube.com/watch?v=RV5jJrv2kjY
i can only hear this forever

>yfw it's a gacha roll for furniture and clothes

>people
That's gambling addiction fiends, user.

You'll roll the gacha for new villagers you mean

best distro?

The guy with the unimaginative name calls me out for not playing an unimaginative game

Riddle me this faggots
How have I been playing FEH since about launch and I've been having fun and rolling my favorites without spending a dime? I've even gotten tier 20 as a FTP
FEH is the most generous gatcha ever and it's gameplay is actually funner than some of the mainline games, I have decent hopes for the animal crossing mobile game that will interplay with the eventual AC switch game
>inb4 shill

What
