Attack uses HP instead of mana

>Attack uses HP instead of mana

>attack is based off of arbitrary cooldown bars

>playing old arcade beat em up
>super attack costs HP
pay2win before pay2win was a thing

>spell consumes a reagent
>it cannot be bought easily

>League of Legends General

You die if your MP is depleted.

>>Attack uses HP instead of mana

this made Persona games really frustrating at first

>You spend HP to repair weapons and armor
>You sacrifice gear to restore HP

>use your hp for speed boosts

>frustrating
I'd gladly take a spell that cost 3-10% HP over a spell that cost 3-10% SP considering how SP starved you get in some SMT and Persona games early on.

>Attacks are automatic

BOOOOOOORIIIIING

>sacrifice defence and hp stat
>attack and speed stat goes through the roof

Hated FF12 and 13 for this reason

>Cast four spells
>out of SP

fuck off

>cooldown is based on your playtime

...

HP is a resource to be spent just like mana. You either are dead or not at the end of a fight.

>attack is so strong it damages you back

H-hayai!

>all attacks, even magic, use stamina

Streets of Rage
JUST

>Dark Souls 3
>every spell costs half your fucking stamina for no good reason

Hey, casting magic can require a lot of concentration and that makes you tired

>use it only to escape getting cornered by enemies
>doesn't matter since you take damage from the move lol

Yeah but from a balancing standpoint, it made casting spells, at least in DS3, kinda shit.

>NPC psychically reminds you about potions every time your health or mana is low

People still love arcade games because of nostalgia, but they were bullshit at times. Some of the games were stupidly hard on purpose so people had to spend more money.

>attacks use HP instead of mana
>make it to where i can lifesteal on hit, and gain insane buffs the lower my health gets

>1 hp on tough enemy
>your attack crits

That arcade X-Men belt-scroller where you only got like 2 uses of your mutant powers per life.

Welcome to die, indeed.

>Spell uses mana and HP

Fuck your gay final fight knock off. Final fight did it first

>only LOL uses HP for attacks
Fuck off, underage.

>spell uses max stamina threshold instead of mana

>SP/mana is incredibly difficult to replenish until lategame

>spell costs a percentage of your health
>if it connects, the spell also heals you by a percentage of the damage it dealt
>if you scale the damage hard enough you can essentially heal yourself with the spell
Name a game that does this.

>then it becomes so ridiculously easy that you steamroll the game

>buff that increases your damage
>the lower your life the more damage you deal
