- Content still requires online
- Elusive Hunts that have been completed or failed are not available
- $19.99 upgrade for the people that bought The "Complete" Edition
HITMAN - Game of the Year Edition
LET ME REPLAY THE SA ELUSIVE TARGET THAT I FAILED ONLY BECAUSE OF YOUR BUGS. FUCK.
season 2 or wgaf
It's explicit proof that Square Enix had nothing to do with all the cancer in the game and that it's entirely on the devs. I hope Shitman dies forever after this.
>A whole host of enhancements are on the way for Xbox One X owners, including options for native 4K and a higher framerate
hmm...
It won a GOTY award?
They promised no DLC..
How is it proof?
>Game of the year
Who decides this bullshit anymore? Every game eventually releases their own goty edition
They aren't owned by Square Enix anymore user, they were fired few months back but Squeenix let them keep the rights to Hitman for a price.
Blood Money will never be surpassed, sad
Literally anybody, it's an industry award, it means nothing.
Not him, but a lot of early theories were based around always online missions being due to Square Enix pushing for DRM.
In the game, weapons and starting points are gated for people that do not complete missions and challenges while online.
where the fuck did this win GOTY lmao
for S1
>elusive hunts that are failed are not available
FUCK
I know, but again, how is it proof?
Giant Bomb, and rightfully so, it was easily 2016's best game.
Is that daytime Colorado I see?
The fact they haven't removed any of that always-online and DRM cancer after leaving Square Enix and instead DOUBLED DOWN ON IT EVEN MORE is the proof you goddamn retard.
Are you retarded? Since is the devs bought the rights that means they are responsible for the game's current bussines model
why is always online in current year a problem?
They released their own independent version, but aren't including the online content in the patch for offline play. You manually have to download the content to your harddrive, but you can't play it at will.
>dude elusive targets are here again
>p-please buy our game!
fuck them
i will not buy a single player game that permanently locks me out of content based on a time window
it's ok that you can only do it once but don't have a fucking two day window where i can attempt to do it and then it's failed, i have other shit to do in my life
also it's really fucking great how they kept harping on about how THIS SHIT WILL NEVER COME BACK AGAIN YOU GUYS and guess what here it is again
fuck them i hope EA buys these fags and shuts them down
wtf I love giant bomb now
>two day window
it's 5 days
I don't think removing the DRM is as easy as you think and since i doubt you're game developers i don't really believe you. The fact that they haven't doubled down on it and made it possible that you could take your online achievements and rewards to offline play proofs they're listening at the very least.
I guess we'll have to wait for the next game to see if they actualy will remove online.
>support the game while its early access because I love Hitman
>Have to pay 20 dorra for 4 fucking shitty reskin missions and 3 suits
Fuck them. They didnt even remove the online only shit. They can rot.
I will gladly pay them the 20 bucks if they let me repeat the elusive targets as many times as I want. I DON'T WANT TO MISS ON CHALLENGES.
The repeated elusive are free. That comes with the update, a new ET rotation.
Corporate shills kill yourselves.
I guess the HITMAN™ - FULL EXPERIENCE wasn't so full
>next game
season 2 won't be a separate game if that's what you're referring to
This. Unless you live in some third world shithole where they still use dial up or something, always online shouldn't be an issue.
Yeah, but I failed one of them because the game bugged out on me and they saw me through a wall. Fuck that noise.
That's not what they're doing.
fantastic argument
It better will be, because i'm not paying 60 dollars for an extension. It better have new features such as the suitcase.
it won't. they said they've built Hitman to be a platform for future missions.
planning on getting this. can anyone fill me in on what elusive targets are? how many of them are there? are they difficult? easy?
just check them out on YT
there's 26 of them
I'm not an expert on this subject but doesn't square enix have the same say in this game as before, since they did publish it?
didn't IO just buy the rights to the franchise i.e. the rights to make more games?
When they first released, they were timed targets placed inside of pre-existing maps. You only had a couple of days to attempt an assassination, else they would leave. You only had one chance to beat them, if you failed the mission you'd never be able to attempt it again.
Since the maps themselves weren't really designed with the elusive targets in mind, a lot of them were just flat out bad. Players would just end up cheesing them to get the suits rather than playing them for their actual challenge.
New NPC's added in an existant map, you only get 1 shot. If you fail or miss it (it's timed) you never get to do it again.
SE published it initially but are not involved anymore.
Its a new idea they tried but it has too many flaws, they should have made them rotate each weak and never be permanently locked away. Basically anyone who buys the game now misses out on 26 targets and 10 outfits (otherwise you only get 1 outfit)
pretty retarded decision but i think they will change it in the future
Square Enix published it but then dropped IO interactive (the devs) including the Hitman IP comepletely.
What if you bought everything episode by episode?
Are you going to get charged out the ass for this?
Better believe it. The people that purchased the version that was supposed to have everything in it, will have to pay $19.99.
they will put the ETs on a new rotation in november
but you'll be only able to play missed ones.
>have everything in it
which was S1, this is not S1 anymore
Elusive targets are retarded but honestly the game is very good if you just ignore that feature completely.
The normal missions are great, the map design is superb, and the overall gameplay is a return to the style of Blood Money, and isn't a linear cover shooter train wreck like Absolution was. As far as gameplay is concerned, I think Absolution and Blood Money are tied for my favorite Hitman game.
The problems with absolution are that it requires always online (not a problem for me at all), the weird episodic release style (just buy the complete edition), and the stupid elusive target stuff but I just ignored that because it was shit.
has the game been cracked yet?
I bought the full game on sale after it was properly released, but I'm not buying one mission for $20
I'm still enjoying the game, and if it seems to be a sizeable addition to what we already have, I might buy it
4 missions and yes it's cracked
Welcome to 2017, Xbox.
>trying to jew 20 bucks from the people who supported them
sad.
ok, just watched the actual trailer. if the "4 new missions" actually means 4 whole new maps, I don't really think that's an outrageous price.
I mean, that's almost the amount of maps the game already has
redesigned existing maps
Aren't the clips in the video just from existing maps? I think it's just a new campaign set in the same places.
>existing map BUT DURING DAYTIME
>now gib 20 moneyz k?
fuck right off
yeah ok noted, I better wait for reviews at least.
to be honest, I used to be very negative about that game being released episodically (mostly because I was so disappointed with Absolution), but now that I've actually played the whole thing after buying it on sale, I just wan't more of it
>- Content still requires online
>- Elusive Hunts that have been completed or failed are not available
How can you fuck up this badly? I was actually excited when they split from Square but it seems like they were the ones responsible for such retardedly anti-consumer practices all along.
>is so shit he fucked up an ET
LMAOOOOOOOOOOOO
NUGAMERS
>requires online
stop living in the middle ages
but I genuinely want to know why people have a problem with this
I lost because of a bug. Fuck the A.I.
I like the pressure of the concept of a fail-forever state but FOREVER forever might be too much, I wish it had an yearly rotation or something.
>Who decides this bullshit anymore?
Same person who always has: nobody. There's no "OFFICIAL GOTY COMITTEE". That title means literally nothing.
This. It's ridiculous that you lose out on challenges forever. It honestly makes me not want to play season 2. Yes, I'm autistic, please understand.
At least Elusive Targets will have a rerun.
>>is so shit he fucked up an ET
>not running over an NPC in Sapienza during the escape cutscene
Pleb.
I FAILED ONE ALREADY BECAUSE THE A.I. SAW THROUGH A WALL. IT'S NOT FAIR.
Servers die. I can still download and play Bloodmoney today but in a fewyears it will be impossible to play nu Hitman. Furthermore it gains nothing by being tied to online, every mechanic and system the game has can be done on the user's end.
you know you can save and load during an elusive target right?
another turd
ok
no you can't.
You can restart it in early stages, stupid LP watcher.
I haven't played the game in a long time, but I distinctly remember restarting an elusive target level a million times
>stupid LP watcher
I'll have to admit that one whooshed right past my head
>playing old games
Lmao
if the missions are interesting and IOI releases a trailer of s2, I might buy it, but otherwise fuck off
why the fuck would i pay $60 for a year old digital copy of a pc game?
>but I distinctly remember restarting an elusive target level a million times
you can restart them if you haven't done any objective.
ah, I see. I don't think I ever needed to restart after doing the objectives, just assumed you could
