Mario 1 is HEAVILY antiquated compared to it's sequels and ESPECIALLY Sonic. It's like how people shit on Ocarina of Time for being outdated compared to it's successors, except where that game actually holds up today, Mario 1 is incredibly jarring to play, even compared to Mario 3 and World.

You never encounter those in normal gameplay. I didn't know how broken SM64 was until I watched speedruns. Meanwhile Adventure 1&2 breaks if you so much as run up an incline at a slightly wrong angle.

Like I get why some people like Adventure, but even people who like Adventure knows it's a really faulty/mixed bag game.

The original dev is doing some changes to make it play better. Like altering some physics, adding a radar for lost flickies, making them harder to actually lose.

Like as a romhack? I'll give it a shot whenever it drops then.
