So just got this, bought it on PS4 because I find Uplay disgusting and heard of crashing issues with the PC version. How's it stand up to the first? I really enjoyed Stick of truth so I have moderately high expectations, the 80 % on metacritic has me a bit worried but I guess that's still a good score..

worse than SoT, but still very good

The game just feels rushed, full of day 1 DLC, and I can't avoid thinking Ubishit's involvement has something to do with all that crap

Don't worry, the same freezings and bugs are present on the consoles versions too, user.

Combat is more fun
The story is less grand and lengthy than SoT
Plays more like a Metroidvania with lots of backtracking.
Several times less disgusting. The game is much more tame in its "humor"

Got you, just feel like it might be a little better than on the PC version knowing Ubisoft but I don't really know.
Nice. Some of the disgusting scenes in SoT were hilarious though, like when you were fighting gnomes under your parents while they were fucking.

combat is better, but the story/pacing is worse. the pacing of the combat is also slower

it has less charm in it's environments, and the variations are less interesting. I find myself less motivated to loot random stuff because the pop ups for that are barely even noticeable

leveling up doesn't feel like progress due to the artifact system + the same # of moves consistently on the new kid with some changes

some of the humor is quite good, but it just isn't as nice as the first one imo

I had a lot of fun playing it for a couple hours the day of release with a friend talking about how we were gonna customize our characters.

I also don't really like capeshit and I'm only like 8 hours in.

fun game overall, but I haven't been enjoying it as much as stick of truth

Cool, I don't mind it being a bit worse than SoT as long as it's still pretty fun. Well got what I wanted out of this thread, guess if people want to discuss stuff about the game go ahead.

Just finished it, took around 25 hours. I really enjoyed it. Combat is better than in SoT. Personally think the story is as "wild" as the last game, in typical South Park good none-sense kind of way. Laughs were had and would recommend it if you generally have any interest in south park. pirated a copy on pc because fuck triple layer drm, so definitely worth at at least a pirate.

it will surely crash less and all, but I've seen people complaining on forums. Nothing game breaking, but mostly stuff like game events don't triggering, audio not playing in certain dialogues, and PS4 freezing on throphy notifications.

game lasts around 20 hs

less disgusting? I'm not really sure about that, there are pretty shocking scenes, mostly towards the end of the game
>backtracking
I wouldn't call it that since it's a free roam game...

I agree on combat being more fun and story being overall inferior

Actually had no issue with the pirated PC copy whatsoever. The only nuisance was the fact that the game doesn't support 21:9 resolutions natively, which SoT had the same issue. simple fix with a .exe hex edit though.

>so I just got this game
>but instead of playing it, i ask you how it is so I can adapt this opinion and shitpost with it
Good job you fit right in.

>South Park is much more than fart jokes

Damn, Trey and Matt sure proved the critics wrong with this one.

>he bought this piece of shit
Bahahahahahaha

>the story is as "wild" as the last game

Story only picked up after the police station. Also what happened to side quests?

who the fuck buys a game and THEN asks if it's any good? either ask before you buy or just fucking play it for yourself.

Not bad, but stick of truth is much better.
The combat is better and allows some great interactions, but on the content and story side it falls short compared to the first game. I guess they are running out of references and characters to put in these games.

The gags and combat are better (actual jokes and gag mechanics instead of just references this time round), but the pacing is much worse due to all the Overworld and crafting shit it expects you to trudge through. Your walk speed is just too fucking slow.

True about side quests, kind of missed on that. There's still plenty of ridiculous, over the top, story points.

speaking of characters why'd they change kanye's character into an actual fish, did they have some legal troubles from that glorious chump?

I finished in 15 hours,it was ok.
The combat is good, but still is really easy. I think I only died twice.
My party was Call Girl, Wonder Tweek and Captain Diabetes.
I pirated it btw, fuck ubi.

Combat is improved, storyline is very disappointing. Fart joke laden again but lacks the same frequent brazen vulgarity in SoT.

Thought they took their time with it but there's less content than an apparently rushed SoT

First was Obsidian, wasn't it? Obsidian is used to pumping out content under pressure. Ubisoft's idea of content is just doing the same inane shit in another location, hence you have 30 shitting minigames.

They didn't take more time. The thing is, some legal shit went down, and Ubisoft bought Obsidian studios, or something like that, and now being a division Ubishit insisted in changing some stuff, which delayed the game's released for 6 months or so

I guess they didn't want to make it too obvious

>Ubisoft bought Obsidian studios

I meant Ubisoft bought THE GAME from Obsidian Studios

>people saying the combat is better

sure, it's not as shallow as before but it's still a joke and now it just drags on for too fucking long.

Does anyone have a soundtrack link/download.
Fucking hell I can not even find a single link to just listen to the cop battle music.

It's alright but it's not as good as Stick.

Stick of Truth was Trey and Matt blowing a 20 year load they'd wanted to nut since day 1. The follow up was destined to be disappointing by comparison. A ton of their A material was in SoT.

The main problem is that the combat lacks depth. You can just do whatever even on the hardest difficulty and you are stil fine. I can only think of a few battles where you can not act like a complete retard.

I enjoyed coming up with ways to force enemies to skip their turn.
