As for 2019: Pikmin 4 and possibly WarioWare or Mario Party, maybe add in an exclusive Level-5 ip.

All I want is a pikmin. That realistic style with aliens and monsters is fantastic. PLEASE.

Unless they port all the Wii U titles....drought

Yes because it's not like they are making new games

why do people act like botw wasn't a port

I expect RDR2 to wipe the floor with these games desu

>tfw Switch only has ports

It is.
It was made for the Wiiu, but once it was clear the Wiiu bombed they held if off to make it a Switch launch title and ported it.

i hope they port 3d world eventually.

I think its pretty clear Nintendo prioritized the switch port probably halfway into development seeing as its better optimized for it but you're not wrong either.

I wouldn't bet on SMTV being next year. Atlus takes its sweet time and they've already said it's not close to ready yet.

Personally I'm really curious to see those mystery projects from Retro and Sakurai. It's been so long and all we know is that the former's soundtrack is by the Deus Ex guy and the latter has a gun somewhere.

>Retro have been working on something unknown for years
>Sakurai has been working on something unknown for years
>Hashimito (Platinum) has been working on something unknown since early last year
>Kamiya (Platinum) is more than likely working on a Switch project since Scalebound got dropped
>Pikmin 4 was "almost complete" 2 years ago

AAAAAAH

>2D Mario game with NSMBU level design and Kotabe art style

Why do you keep saying this? It's making me feel like total shit that we'll never get it. Unless you know something we don't...

>flip side
>not crafty caper

What's wrong with you.

SMTV for next year is a bit of a stretch honestly spam.

>switch version
>prioritized
>not optimized to the systems limits like the wiiu version
>actually ported to the switch by an external non nintendo owned development studio

A smash 4 port, possibly a mario party or other mario spin off titles, pikmin 4, more games on the Virtual Console

Literally anything Wario related

>2019

The end of the Switch due to your average Smart Phone released that year having triple its hardware power

Pokemon for the Switch is planned for 2018. Reggie, job listings, and investor calls all say this. Whether or not it gets delayed is up to its developer, which at this point with the way the franchise has been so far, it'd be surprising if they even delay it at all.

>The end of the Switch due to your average Smart Phone released that year having triple its hardware power
Doesnt the average smart phone retail at like $800

Triple the power, only 5 games worth "tapping" on.

I'm guessing it will get a delay, but Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon being handled by a b-team has increased the likelihood of a 2018 release date for Pokemon Switch.

More like $200, the high end phones like the iphone and Pixel are over $600; wouldn't doubt it'd be the same in 2019

Maybe for iOS, android has a much larger selection and emulators for pretty much everything. As hardware gets stronger even more stuff will be emulated most likely.... what sucks is the lack of physical controls though without some bluetooth attachment or OTA controller

regardless the switch version has better visuals and framerate

It's on a more powerful system without the cpu bottleneck of the WiiU, it doesn't perform better because of optimization, it performs better because it's on a more powerful system, a big hint towards this is that patches could improve performance in the Switch version while they couldn't in the WiiU version. A direct sequel on Switch will confirm this 100% when it shows a much larger boost in performance or visual fidelity over Breath of the Wild.

Oh, if you're talking emulators, then yeah I guess mobile gaming is going great. Controller attachments aren't even terrible these days, although many of they still block charging ports.

>More like $200
Nope

>emulators
You understand that pirated roms on pirated emulators benefit no one but the users right?
Also Apple will never have good games on the App store because it's mandatory for every app to be usable with touch controls only.
Android is slightly better but it's still the freemium model with lootboxes and jewing out the fuck.
