Is this the animal that sits in the lake and goes honk or am I thinking of another one?

Indeed, it is called a goose.

Vidya games are my relaxation time, I do not require or want deadlines in my vidya games.
I do not want my exploration to be hindered by the fact that "game over" will appear if I veer off course for too long.
I want to look under every nook and cranny, I want to open every empty shelf and desk and take in those glorious useless textures. I want to pray that angling my camera just right will reveal some secret easter egg under the bed.
I want to try platforming in generally non-platforming games, just to see if I can reach the top of the tree or find some hidden little gimmick.
Fuck timers.

This is the whole reason I cant play Dead Rising
I love everything about the games, but I cant deal with the clock

Guess the fucking game.
Singularity?
Anything content-wise that's missable
Fuck Golden Sun Dark Dawn. My mom stopped playing video games when I told her she couldnt get all the summons because she missed one djinn in the early fucking game.
It's called a battleship
>mouse mysteriously recenters on the screen somehow after you move it to a corner
Nope.
come to think of it
>game has collectibles that unlock cool stuff
>game has on-rails section which contains one collectable
>game is checkpoint based so you can't even manually save, meaning if you miss it during the section you're fucked
Well I give up then

Both fucking versons of Spelunky did this somehow.
RE7?
That's what I get for phone posting
>Can't separate two controls that are mapped to the same button
Gave up on platinum'ing Bayonettamdue to this shortly after getting the panther form. Whoever thought assigning it to the evade button needs to be shot
Now try max payne, you can't just dodge without triggering bullet time even if you unbind every single key in settings and put your own mappings, you need to edit the game's exe or straight up use a controller which shits all over max payne's gameplay.
>play a fairly old game
>game will now detect your video hardware and set video options accordingly
>sets on medium
I played through MP3 without knowing that dodging put you in bullet time even if you bullet time meter is empty. I barely ever dodged, it seemed pointless.
it's mainly to look cool, you can still shoot with the sawed off or the berettas if you dodge forward
>tab out

FUCKING NIGGERS
I'm using a 2002 dell keyboard with the sound buttons and they work, every time all the time. Speakers are set to a hefty 35 for that bass, and I just push the keyboard buttons for more or less volume. I love this thing, I'll probably cry when it stops working. 15 years using this keyboard. FIFTEEN YEARS.
>pause
>tab out

Fucking Breath of the Wild.
>gameplay tips spoil events later in the game
Fucking Homecoming.

Speaking of Dragon's Dogma,

>no interactive loading screens at all, just a black screen with the game's logo on it and a progress bar/circle
>button prompts

That Tiger capturing mission in CoH2 was pretty bullshit because of this. Damned tank drag itself for 2 minutes across the map while you keep pounding its ass with AT guns
>controller support on a platformer

they're masterworks ought
Xpadder, or if you use a ds4 you can set it up to use exclusively the dpad via disabling the left joystick.
>game is centered around close quarters combat
>They give you ranged weaponry and ammo for it is fucking everywhere
Sauce on that anime?

Fuck Hitman Blood Money
It doesn't happen super often but-
>Game has an exit game button but disables it sometimes for arbitrary reasons and doesn't let you close the game
Devs that do this can go fuck themselves with the wide end of a rake. It's my fucking computer and I will alt-f4 your shit immediately if you try to take control away from me.

Don't remind me.
>actually sunk 300 dollars in dead space 3's random lootboxes because i found the combat and weapon crafting fun and was a longtime fan of the series

>hard drive shits itself in 2015
>never bought ps plus so saves didn't get backed up in the cloud and i didn't back them up myself
>have all the trophies but i have to start the game all over again
300 might not sound like much but i've never fell for micro transactions/DLC/cosmetics in any game ever or since then.
I still play dead space 3/the dead space trilogy and got the MK5 set again but this time with ingame tickets only.
EA shouldn't have killed visceral games.
God I despise that with all my heart
That whole series was so good, 2 is still in my all-time top 10. I didn't like 3 much and 1 is pretty rough but 2 is a fucking masterpiece.
