I like him, and I'm happy for him that he's getting recognized for talking about the Nintendo games he's so passionate about. I don't feel like he's really a "critique", so much as he's just a fan who's likable enough and has a platform to gain attention n' so forth.
But I think he's bet on the wrong horse, Nintendo fucking hates youtubers and I think ultimately his delusional brand-loyalty is going to come bite him in the ass soon or a later, it's just the way the world works I'm afraid.

See: The guy who does Arlo is an actual, honest to god, muppet-making, practical-effects, technician kind of guy. He knows how to make, operate, and maintain muppet/puppet kind of Jim Henson stuff, it's actually super fucking interesting stuff, but in today's media there really isn't demand for that kind of thing anymore because computer animation has largely subsumed the need or desire for muppet guys like Arlo.
