What are some of the best quality mods that you have played with? Mine would be the loyalists, OniCorps and Untitled technology. But with the game being old and mod projects being abandoned or forgotten by authors ; I'm all ways on the look out for hidden gems.

Good potential but got stuck in development hell.

Aren't the developers working on another title now?

The other game they are working on is called Planetoid Pioneers. It has drop in custom user content that sounds interesting but they haven't really finished cortex command with the only real meat of the game coming from the mod authors who stuck with the game It's really just people uploading dead mod author content.

The physics engine is neat but trying to play the game as the devs intended is impossible. It's fundamentally broken imo.

You need a god machine to actually fuck around.

With all the physics collisions and shit going off onscreen it gets choppy real quick.

Fun game but I wouldn't pay 20 bucks for it.

I only got the game about a year and a half ago on sale. What did the developers really want the game to do? Also do you know any cool mods.

Look for the AAL pack, it's been years since I played the game and I think it might actually come pre-installed with Cortex Command now.

If you want a mod, try Gabemod on the workshop.
It has a functional tracking SAM launcher and silenced weapons that doesn't alert enemies like typical weapons.

Really cool LUA coding in general in the mod.

If you want titty to kill then you can try the Titanica mod.

It was all ready done before

THICC for life

Fuck all these tryhard tactical military shit, you need to play with armrobotics.

Nearly invincible robots that shoot cannonballs at enemies.

All they need to have to be perfect is a huge bat as a melee weapon.

Red Army vs starving Eurocucks, guess who wins.

I'll always look back on Cortex Command hayday fondly, and my small contributions to it's modding scene.

Thanks for doing something

You reminded me of pic related

This game though is kinda trash, I don't think it ever left alpha.

Not even the coders could of saved this game from obscurity but I guess it has it's place in time.

I never play Cortex Command without Darkstorm.

I really wish the Spectator mod wasn't broken. the B26 version doesn't spawn enemies and the one that was updated for 1.0 has that stupid faction switching mechanic. You know, sometimes I don't want to build an elaborate bunker. Sometimes, I just want to load up a map and watch random NPCs fight it out with all the weird fucking mods I have, damnit.

Just play a game mode that doesn't require bunker building/play on a map with premade bunkers.
