Are these games any good? This one finally game to PC and It's something I've wanted to play.
SAO
Hollow Fragment was good, and this is the sequel to that which I've heard is also good.
Avoid SAO vs Accel World and Lost song if it ever comes to PC.
TWO YEARS WORTH
Hollow Realization is probably the best SAO game all around. The PC version is an all around upgrade from the PS4 version. Only problem is that it's a direct sequel to Hollow Fragment which is its own canon apart from the LN/Anime so if you jump straight into it there's gonna be a bit of confusion. If you're just interested in playing an MMO sim with SAO themes this is the game for it.
>Are these games any good? This one finally game to PC and It's something I've wanted to play.
Kind of good. Do expect that you will grind a lot to get everything in game, just like a mmo. Also the controller config isn't that great yet.
CAN YOU FUCK the anime girls?
It's okay. Crashes right away on my gaming PC before getting to even the title screen but runs at 20fps on my ThinkPad. A controller is a must, as such is the standard for console ports.
>Asking Sup Forumseogaf about SAO games
they hate it
but the latest two are good
SAO vs Accel World is also decent
You can take them to your bed, and hold hands
SAO vs AW is hot shit
Is this the new SAO x Freedom Wars game? How's that looking? I'm not particularly a fan, but that looked fun.
And do you have to be Kirito in them all?
Nah this is just straight SAO simulator, and you can customize your character. You can even be a girl.
Sounds kinda neat, I suppose. Those price tags are off putting though.
Then wait 'till the winter sale.
>Do expect that you will grind a lot to get everything in game, just like a mmo
This is fine, I love MMO's but my work schedule basically prevents me from doing anything constructive. The time is there but it's all over the place.
hollow realization is actually a really decent rpg and has some nice fanservice since you can get with your favorite girl, the prior games are all pretty shit so just go read the wiki descriptions if you want to get caught up on the story
I hear the SoL and worldbuilding is good.
How is Lost Song?
Terrible.
There's a really basic rule to SAO games.
>If its developed by Aquaria = Its good
>If its developed by Artdink = Its rancid trash
That's unfortunate. Still have the thing sealed and I doubt I'll ever have a reason to open it at this point.
Does the game have player housing?
Not as good as either of the Hollow games. The combat feels stiff and the loot just isn't as good as the Hollow games where you have the chance to get some really good shit after beating a high level monster (Though you do need to know what you're doing against those monsters. Mindlessly mashing the attack button is a pretty good way to get killed against these guys. Doubly so in Hollow Fragment since it's game over if you or your partner dies.)
What's with the controller issues Hollow Realization on steam has? I've been looking to buy it, but I guess I'll wait if it needs to be patched.
If you have a 360/xbone controller it just works. People using PS4 controllers are facing issues that can be solved with custom mappings in big picture mode. Worst thing that can happen is it doesn't work but you can refund it.
I remember enjoying Hollow Realization despite the story, is the expansion dlc any good? Havent touched it since i beat the story.
What GPU/CPU?
>RE: Hollow Fragment
>Not a terrible game. Bare bones in presentation, but it's packed with content. Do NOT play the Vita version. The translation is fucked (pic related).
>Lost Song
>Has very basic action combat and the dungeon design is awful. The flying combat is at least somewhat interesting during boss fights, but still not that great.
>Hollow Realization
>Presentation has improved, however the story is probably the worst so far and the content was very boring
>Accel World vs SAO
>Haven't played it, but it looks genuinely awful.
>GGO game coming out soon
>Actually looks like the best SAO game so far. Heard some people compare it to Freedom Wars, so I'm intrigued.
>is the expansion dlc any good? Havent touched it since i beat the story.
Not worth it. The only worthwhile thing is that it added in two new characters in the last pack.
>Do not play the vita version
The google translation adds characters and the combat is better on the Vita version.
The original Hollow Fragment felt like a loveable accident, and as they tried to improve it on the PS4 they made it more standard/normal and thus worse.
Fatal Bullet is made by the same devs as FW.
Make your own Donut Steel with some other new original characters.
Apparently dialogue choices can affect the story. Kirito may or may not be a bad guy in one of them.
It's implied that you fuck Asuna in the first game, I believe.
What happened with AWvsSAO?
Feels like a PS2 game and not in the good way.
PC: dual xeon e5-2670 + gtx980
Laptop: i7-2640m + nvs4200
adds character*
>SAO
Take a fucking guess
How was this allowed? Alicization isn't even out yet anime-wise.
While I haven't played it yet, it's pretty much a more polished Lost Song (though unlike Lost Song, the Vita version sucks).
Another thing I've heard others say is the AW characters feel pretty gimped since they can't fucking fly. This is a problem since it borrows a lot of things from Lost Song, a fair bit of the bosses were in the air.
It's out next year, I believe.
I'm surprised it's actually that cheap including the Season Pass. It's still full price on the PS4.
