Are there recent games that seem to be pushing certain political agendas either directly in-game or through the game's marketing campaign? This recent shit around the new Wolfenstein game got me thinking about it.
I'm not talking about devs saying stupid shit on Twitter. I'm talking about the games themselves feeling like you're supporting a cause if you buy them.

Cuphead promotes incest

Shut up and enjoy you prop- game, goy
Ian Davis
>games themselves feeling like you're supporting a cause if you buy them you're not.
Andrew Cook
I seem to specifically remember cropping these panels and posting them here but it's so damn funny that I'm sure at least 100 other anons have done it too. JoJo is a treasure.
Nathan Brown
Batttlefield Heroes let you play as Nazis full-time but that game got shoah'd soon after.
World of Tanks also let you use Nazi tanks and also made them some of the fastest and coolest in the game.
Leo Bell
You sound like the moms rallying against violent videogames in the 90s.
Nolan Robinson
So you want games to be more 'politically correct' right?
Jack Diaz
Nothing like that. It was a question if more games felt like that, portraying some real world hot topic in a distinctly positive or negative way in order to try and sway opinions.
Justin Nelson
goddam i am huge fan of jojo before it's popular you nazi fags made me lol everytime with part 2
Nathaniel Perez
Interest in politics are promoted in times when the CIA doesn't want people to notice what's actually happening in politics.
Luke Howard
I shouldn't really have to say this, but not German soldiers in the Second World War were Nazis.
Lucas Hughes
kojima a hack
Adam Long
He wrote that before the internet was as big of a political thing as it is now. It was prophetic.
Jonathan Price
You know, you can still like something after it becomes popular. You're not cool for liking something before it explodes. Faggot.
Lincoln Martinez
That sounds exactly like an edgy 15 year old's Facebook rant. No wonder Sup Forums loves Kojima's writing so much.
Jeremiah Mitchell
It came true
Michael Parker
Sup Forums spergsout about Sup Forums all the time, just look at what happened with yooka-laylee and jontron. Both wolf2 and yooka are mediocre games.
Charles Gray
#notallnazis yeah we get it faggot
Jaxson Myers
>Nothing like that. It was a question if more games felt like that, portraying some real world hot topic in a distinctly positive or negative way in order to try and sway opinions.
That is a subjective opinion and with nothing objective about. Just like hysterical women get all hysterical about sexualized female character designs in vidya. Hysterical Sup Forums fags are getting all upset about fictions people having something done to them that is fictitious.
See some view scantily clad women virtual women as some sort of thing that is pushing and agenda. Just like some overly sensitive nerds view nazis being depicted as evil as pushing an agenda as well.
It is all to subjective since while the reaction is pretty much the same. The subject matter that causes the trigger is different.
So you know devs should be free to do whatever the fuck they want in whatever way they want. Nips should be allowed to draw sexy as anime tiddies to make merchandising bank. While people who want to make a vidya about killing nazis should also be allowed to do that if they so wish to.
So if you are not asking for politcal correctness for the sake of nazi feelings then you are asking for the hypocrisy of political correctness. Since either when it cause to the vidya medium. Everything should be game as long as nerds want to make that.
So long story short you are asking about why is hypocrisy not more prevalent and stunted towards the side that you are more okay and cool with.
Some people feel killing nazis is agenda pushing.. Some feel that overly sexy grills is also agenda pushing. Feelings on a whole are a tricky things since different people are triggered by different things as stated above.

Remember when that one other imageboard went full autism about how buying Undertale is support of multicultural communism. What a fucking shithole in retrospect.
What do you mean by "support", OP? Usually these people are not explicityly part of any political movements, so all the support you give by buying a game is money that might go into the dev getting to make another game. I am pretty sure that playing a game in itself isn't really proper support to any external causes, might they be relevant to the game or not.
