You see that influence in Michiko and Hatchin.
Jesus christ the ending to this fucking show.
Lol, maybe had a sequel in mind.
Is there any game that plays something similar to this?
>Beat game
>Secret ending unlocked
>Beat game
>Cowboy Bebop is still overrated trash
was this anime any good?
i was turned off by the focus on a female main cast for some reason
>Beat game

planetes
Name three games like this?
No no, a gaaaaame
>2017
>still no good cowboy bebop video game
This really disappoints me I wanna fly from planet to planet collecting bounties and getting into dogfights
Maybe if we get a Blade Runner 2049 tie-in game
Sorry, space cowboy.
Remember this thing from roughly the same era and its notorious difficulty. Tried playing with a controller cuz no gun con.
too different I think
>it's a blaxploitation episode
How did they get away with this?
Isn't there a Cowboy Bebop Game?
It's Japanese, and SJWs also weren't a thing back then.
Champloo > Bebop > Dandy >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Terror
Didn’t watch Kids on the Slope. The only thing I liked about znt was the motorcycle scene.
It has the involvement of some of the Cowboy Bebop team and a similar vibe so if your a fan it's of definite interest. Alright soundtrack too.
znt?
is that terror in resonance?
my favorite scene was the bomb disarming scene
great musical accompaniment
Wow, finally a thread relevant enough for me to post in.
So for the past year or so I've been making a game heavily inspired by Cowboy Bebop. The premise is this - you fly from planet to planet in a little craft, land on planets, take on a bounty from a police terminal, and go and collect it. I haven't got much work done on the ship gameplay yet, but on foot it plays like Hotline Miami - top down, fast paced, gun swapping action. I'm still playing about with the respawn system, and I plan to add upgrades and stuff you can buy with the bounty money. Maybe things like vests that let you take a bullet or two, or the ability to start with a certain weapon or something.
I'm hesitant about posting sceenshots or videos here in case somebody recognizes that I asked here for advice if this project ever goes anywhere, but does anyone have anything they'd really like to see in a game like this? Any suggestions on how the core gameplay loop would work better?
game are only as good as the worlds they take place in
spend lots of time on the settings and shit
Forgot to mention the setting, actually. Most planets have a unique color palette but are functionally the same - they all have a police station, weapons dealer, and some sort of bar. The bar would have a bunch of minigames like card games, arcade machines, and stuff.
For a crowded planet like Earth I was thinking of having Blade Runner esque bustling crowds on each street, and a general Asian cultural feel going on, like the bar being a noodle bar for example.
The RE-AHL FUUUULK BUH-LOOS
ZnT has so much good shit and so much terrible shit
It baffles me to this day
Cowboy bebop did something that I fucking love, and it was to create a world that made sense without explanation. That doesn't mean everything makes sense, but the way characters act, talk and itneract with the enviroment shows that they live in that world and are used to it. It helped a lot to make the world feel huge and believable.
If you're going for the Cowboy Bebop mood I'd think being on fast paced gunfights all the time would be really missing the mark.
Unless the idea is to spend a ton of time talking to people in town, preparing your guns and shit, tracking down the dude and then finally having a quick burst of insane action before repeating, that'd be more like it.
Lots of jazz on the OST too
i want a news cowboy bebop anime
it can either be a continuation - a sequel or a prequel concerning spike's earlier years in the syndicate
i cant wait for the announcement!
I think Spike and Fey fucked several times and both acted like it was no big deal, but Fey did want that to become romance.
I'd say Jet and Fey also fucked, but only once and both tough it was a mistake.
That's a good point. I was planning on having a little detective work in there (having to find the targets location by speaking to people in bars and the sort), but I've really been building this as a Hotline Miami clone so far. Time to rethink my priorities.
JEt was hands down the best character in the entire show, aswell as the only good person in the cast (Ed and Ein weren't evil, but they were mostly just there, doing their thing).
Spike is not evil but wasn't precisely a good guy. He did things his way without asking anyone for advice or help and acted like an asshole more than once.
Fey had money problem with fucking everyone and the selfishness of a woman. I did liked her character a lot.
Jet is when things get good. He's stubborn and grumpy, but is always willing to help anyone who asks and takes care of everyone like a father. He's also the one who looks after Ed the most, going as far as telling him stories to have her entertained, and shares the computer interest with her. But what made me love him as a character was that he wasn't good all the time. His past story is about him being a cop, and a good one, but not a loving husband. Her wife leaves him and he blames himself the rest of his life, but instead of going back to his wife he just wanted to know why, and once he knows it he leaves her with her new boyfriend and walks away.
Jet isn't a good person per se, he did something so bad in the past he's blaming himself all the time for it, and wants to make up for that, even in the tinniest of everyday things.
And he loves Spike a lot as a bro. I'm 100% sure he isn't with Spike for the money, but because he loves the experiences he'll get with him.
Come on now Sup Forums, it's earned the hype
he sees himself in spike
oh and they wasted him in the movie
No its actually pretty good. The ending kind of disappoints though
>but I've really been building this as a Hotline Miami clone so far.
The thing with Cowboy bebop action scenes is that they were short but intense. There's like 1 or 2 per episode, some have no action scene, some have way more. And the intensity of them wasn't always action-focused. The first fight between Spike and Vicious was pretty silent. I think you're main obstacle for you will be setting the right mood for each situation, but you can get something amazing out of that.
Shit, how did I miss that, it makes a lot of sense.
Man, the movie was good but completly pointless.
If they ever make more Cowboy bebop I hope they focus on a new cast of characters and show us more of the universe. Maybe even have episodes where Jet and Fey show up, but trying to continue the original's cast story would be stupid. And dear god do not make a prequel.
actually lots of ol'niggas see themselves in young bloods
they played off each other pretty well even up till the end but spike just couldnt let go
I wouldn't say the movie was pointless. It was just a big normal episode.
Saying it was pointless would be like saying any other episode that didn't involve Spike's main story was pointless.
Plus it was pretty as shit.
Jet also had the best chase scene in his ship. Elm was the best theme in the soundtrack and was criminally underused
Oh yeah, definetly, visually the movie was just Cowboy bebop but better. 0 Complaints about that.
But for a movie I usually expect more, something like information we didn't know or explanation on something. As it was it's just like you say: a longer episode. And while I can't get enough of cowboy bebop, it dissappointed me in that way, it was "just" more cowboy bebop.
The entire soundtrack is a masterpiece, it set the mood so well in every episode. My favourite part is at the end of episode 13, when the first half of the show ends, and Space lion starts playing.
youtube.com
But it's really hard to pick just one song.
Space lion is my second favorite track, it's so good
Faye is cute
i want a version without the indian chanting
Have you seen either of them?
check this out my dudes
youtu.be
See, that's what makes me love it. That Indian bit helps tie everything in
One question. I watched this show like 3 times and always in my native language. The dub for it was fucking magical, on point voices and great localization, but I've also heard the english dub is considered incredibly good, so much the VA for the main cast appear in the opening of the movie.
For you english speakers, did you watch the show with english or japanese dub? which one was better?
>stupid whore that kept stealing from people that helped her and knowing they were broke as fuck on top
Women should never be allowed to join a male group
>was halfway through this when you posted it
What is this cowboy-mind
She just has a hard time trusting people that's why she steals from them but in the end she was loyal.
English dub. If it has a great English dub I don't hesitate but I am more than willing to watch Jap dub since lots of localisations are shite.
Watch Baccano! in English
>Watch Baccano! in English
After the piece of shit Durarara! was I don't know if I can stomach that.
>She just has a hard time trusting people
She wasn't forced to stay and yet she still stole from starving people a bunch of times before running back
I thought it was fantastic, all the characters are really fun. People who say the ending sucked missed the whole point of the show.
>Durarara!!
Yeah that's nice, but Baccano! is anime kino.
I just explained it.
Episode 18 was chilling kino
just watch space dandy, it's as close as we'll ever get
Pretty sure Watanabe only had anything to do with the first episode
;_;
Is the dub for it any good or should I stick with subs?
dub, no contest
it's bebop-tier fantastic
that's what I like to hear, fuck the purists
A lot of dubs are pretty bad though
Dandy and bebop are exceptions, not the rule
I can't watch that episode anymore.
Baccano! is everything Durarara! wanted to be but failed at
The one on PS2 was good, retard.
I'm too much of a failure, this is extremely painful.
for me
