It would be great if everyone wasn't afraid of viruses and people wouldn't just google the name of the game. Parents taking away the discs and throwing them out would just be the first hurdle.
I do like the idea though, maybe if you hid what the name of the game was and made the disc look more trustworthy by making it look like a legitimate game disc then it'd work better.

So what is the coolest place you ever dreamt of? Or a place in your dreams that is particularly significant to you?
Mine is a city with very tall buildings, and at the top of the roofs electric cables with old tramways hanging from them. Each coach was like a little house, with a bed, a kitchen, etc, and there were restaurant tramways and library coaches where you could buy supplies of food, and then spend hours just reading books without ever having to go to the ground.

Man between now and the year that the original user posted this idea, CD drives have pretty much been phased out of the average kids' choice personal computer or laptop.

2009 was 8 years ago.

I've been having some dreams all my life about a massive city. I've been in a lot of the city's areas, and it's like a persistent city, every time I dream about it, everything is where I remember it, and the areas match as expected. I've even taken bus rides and everything was consistent.

Hell, I've even taken the train and visited some little villages that are also consistent between dreams, all the way down to the rivers, the plantations, and the mountain paths. There's also some ruins.

It's all batshit amazing and I have no idea why is this happening.

My favorite places from this dreamworld:

City:
-Massive bridge, specially at night. There's usually a big queue to enter as it's really crowded, but when you get in it's comfy as fuck.

-Arcade in the shady streets. I've played fucking The House of the Dead there. Lots of fun non-real arcade games also. It's also close to a bar that's pretty nice to get a drink.

-University: There's a massive uni spanning several buildings (but still realistic). I remember visiting the engineering classes, and the medic ones. The engineering classes were hard as fuck though. (yes it's a fucking dream, literally what the fuck)
They also have an otaku fest from time to time in a big ass kind of hangar nearby. Sometimes a flea market.

-Just walking down the streets, specially while lucid dreaming, and being amazed at the whole fucking thing.

Haven't played this before. Looks interesting and mysterious.

It is but it's also boring, so go in expecting that. It's really comfy once you get into it though.

-There's this massive Shopping Mail also, where the center of it is empty, just mechanical staircases, and the sides are filled with shops.

The lower floor has a kid park where I've spend many dreams when I was young. There's also a hallway that leads to some other shops and a bakery, it sells delicious things.

Somewhere in the middle there's a lot of clothing shops, and a video game and magazine store, I've also spent many dreams reading the books.

-There's also a quite fun amusement park in the outskirts of the city. You need a bus to go there. I can remember clearly many things there. There's at least bumper cars, a rollercoaster, and an amazing underground cart ride.

I forget what the halloween game was.

Outskirts of the city (taking the train):

-There's at least 2 villages close by, in a near valley. One of them has a lot of farming land surrounded by walls, and a whole lot of small comfy housing. Also a river goes near. I love walking to the river and just chill there, or follow it for a while through the roads.

-The second village I remember a pretty good restaurant. Also there's a camping site nearby, and if you follow the roads up you end up in a quite beautiful mountain, where you can find a ruin. The ruin is pretty nice to visit too, you can take some kind of old elevator and go to the upper part where you can watch the scenery.


So yeah, it's insane and I have no idea how can I dream about such a consistent, gigantic place chock full of events and places. I could make a whole sandbox game out of it.

It is pretty impressive, your dream honestly looks like a great place to be. Have you made a map of it or do you just explore your city following your instinct and feelings?

It did a pretty good job in adapting the worlds, but giving Madotsuki thoughts and pushing the story did feel contradictory to what the game is trying the achieve. Overall I agree it was mediocre.

I've learned pretty much how to move around it as well as if it was my own city. I think I made some maps when I was younger, but I've lost them.
I haven't visited it since a few years though, i'm kinda sad about it.

the dream mado is the real one, and whenever she pinches herself she just passes out. But since the world around her is so colourful, in her mind a different world would look like a copletely normal room.

It's been years.

I've been on Sup Forums for far, far too long when I can remember the original post.

Exploring places is almost all I ever dream so I could go on for ages, the problem is that the words aren't as interesting as the images themselves. I had made a point to learn drawing so I could picture my dreams, but 3 months in I realized that I had nearly no interest in the process of drawing itself, and all I wanted was the final result. I guess I don't have that artistic spark (not talent, but enjoying what you do more than what you get in the end) but that's fine by me.
So, cool places in dreams:

One of my earliest dreams in memory, the part I remember the most is entering into a little shop made with brick walls that looked like they'd crumble anytime. I go to the counter and see two old guys having a chat, I wanted to buy some candy but one of them says that it doesn't matter and gives me some for free. Some years ago I had a dream in this same place, I went there to see how they were doing but I found the building had been remodeled and it wasn't a shop anymore, but someone's house. A person there told me the shop owners moved to a different city a long time ago.

In this dream I was on trip and at some point I'm told that the way is exclusively by feet through a strangely long house. Supposedly, there were doors only on both extremes, and you could only go in and out from there and nowhere else. I went in and carried on, noticing that a lot of people lived in there, I liked talking to them and hearing their stories. The interior changed as I advanced into many different styles. At night I could ask whoever to lend me a room, they were nice enough since they knew travellers had to go through there. The house wasn't that wide, just really long. I didn't get to the end I woke up.

There are many things that I wouldn't have ever come up with unless someone else dreamed it. Dreams are cool like that.

There's some if you look on Steam that are pretty trippy, but I wouldn't get your hopes up for anything mindblowing.
I remember this one game that took place in the middle of wasteland Russia that was a near future sort of thing with a robot waifu, but I can't remember what it was called.
