RE games take place in different locations. This one took place in Africa.

The cities have somewhat diverse enemies. And the ones dressed in tribal clothing don't normally dress that way, the virus has caused them to be more warlike and take up the habits of their ancestors.

There's also a bit of an anti-colonial message in that foreigners are exploiting Africa, using its resources, ruins, and labor, and bringing problems. Note that none of the named antagonists are black or African.

Also, Sheva and Josh are black good characters. Although I have seen whining that Sheva is too light-skinned...

Forced co-op can be annoying in harder difficulties, but the game has many merits. If you like guns for instance, you'll love how they all sound like and pack a punch in RE5. Melee is also quite satisfying.
Merch mode alone makes it worth it, I'd say get it if you can find it for 20 or lower.

This. My main issue with RE6 is that the guns were so much less satisfying compared to RE4 and 5 where a single powered up shotgun blast would take out whole groups of enemies.

Resident evil 5 is like far cry 2 if it was actually fun, you didn't have to drive for 10 minutes in the jungle, deal with aids, and have a pair of tits and ass with you the whole time.

ORC is literally the worst game I've ever played. It fucks with the lore so hard it is completely non-canon and ruins everything about Raccoon City. UC is just a TPS with little to no story and VII I don't even like that much

RE3 has always been my least favorite of the classic style ones. Nemesis himself is great but the environments are pretty bland, especially in the first half. It gets a lot better once you get to the clock tower though.

VII might as well be a spin-off. Umbrella Corps is fun for all of a day or two.

ORC's only issues are the Nemesis fight and the DLC not being included/free.

It's just a really well made game and the standard for survival horror. If they released a version of the first game with all modes, DS gameplay and everything intact, it'd be my best game of all time

Is that true about the co-op? Bevause from what I know RE5 was their most successful RE saleswise (that may have changed) and if I had to guess most, if not all of that was because of the ability to play it with a friend. Co-op sold some hilariously bad games. And even some okay ones like GFG where your co-op partner got to control a dinky robot.

I fucking love RE5, but I exclude it outside of the actual RE games because of how wacky it is. If someone were to ask what the best RE game is, I'd show them REmake or RE2. RE4 is just a slightly less insane RE5.

I want Capcom to remaster RE Outbreak most of all. RE8 needs to go back to the RE1/2/3 roots while they have a spinoff series that's specifically for co-op.
