3D World
64 > galaxy > odyssey > sunshine
all great games though
This DESU senpai. Galaxy 1 and 2 were perfect.
You’ll have to ask a 10 year old who the games are made for
lol, no.

Odyssey but I miss having a hub world.
64 doesn't have Yoshi's house from Mario World, so Odyssey.
64.
>SUPER MARI ODYSS
>UPER 64 ARIO
they're both shit.
A game targeted for 5 year olds can’t be a good game
Is this the face of desperation?
No I just no that sony won.
Just take a listen

None because they're for babies.
>galaxy over anything
the state of nu-Sup Forums
64 = Odssey > Galaxy 2 > Sunshine > Galaxy 1
Odyssey but it is close. Mario moves better in 64 very slightly but Odyssey has more variety. It is a testament to 64 that it took this long to be topped.
I think you mean zygotes.
They're not even comparable. They kind of included the objective structure into Odyssey but it's definitely not a focus so changes the gameplay style away from 64's to be far more about exploration and finding stuff yourself.
Breath of the Wild is probably more comparable to Odyssey really.
64>Odyssey
Odyssey could've been the best if Peach didn't cuck Mario.
64 is better, especially movmentwise
Depends which one you played first. :)
64 was more revolutionary and ground breaking of a game. It is the more significant game.
But I just played both, and game to game, its definitely Odyssey. There are parts of 64 that legitimately suck. The water levels are awful. The camera is horrible. These issues dont exist in Odyssey. The levels are just as good if not better too.
Anyone who thinks 64 is better is blinded by nostalgia
>The water levels are awful. [...] These issues dont exist in Odyssey.
I like how Nintendo solved the water level issues by just simply giving us the same controls we've had for swimming in 2d games since SMB 1
...
64 was more impressive for its time but Odyssey is way, WAY more fun. It is designed specifically to be fun, which is why it has so many anti-frustration features. No lives, no game overs, death is a slap on the wrist, the game is constantly giving you tips on what to do. And on top of all that the game is excellent. The levels are all visually interesting, unique, and fun to explore and the moons are dispersed perfectly in each world. As soon as you get to a new world you look around, see at least three different things that you want to go check out, and from there on your own curiosity leads you around the level. By the time you're out of things to check out without closer examination, you'll probably have enough moons to move on to the next world if you want.
A big problem with 64 is the pacing. Some Stars can take seconds to get, others maybe an hour if the clue isn't very helpful.
What I liked about 3D World is all the levels take roughly the same amount of time to complete. It's very pick up and playable. Odyssey somewhat does this as well and basically needs to since it's on a portable system.
I have issues with the camera in the final bowser boss fight on the moon, the camera wants to keep bowser onscreen at all times, but if you know he's about to jump towards the center for one of the attacks, it won't let you focus on where he's going to jump before he jumps
It's great at literally every other point, though.
