Tomb of Giants was genuinely one of the most unsettling vidya moments in recent video games.
You rarely see game areas that are actually pitch black. Never thought I'd actually get scared by skeletons, but fuck me, seeing those small glowing eyes before their massive bodies lit up really got me.

Fuck I love the design of the deeper DS1 areas. Like how you could see the demon ruins from the tomb. Gave it such a sense of scale and exploration.
On a related note I also remember the time I rested at the tomb of the giants bonfire before getting the lordvessel. Shit got a little messy.

The skeletons from Dragon's Dogma. Not only so they look as badass as skeletons should be, it's that there are different classes of skellys too.
When you're traveling all the way to Bluemoon Tower if you don't kill the Griffin the first time. Man, that sense of adventure as you're making your way to it only to be met with a bunch of skeleton assholes trying to fuck your shit up at the base of the tower.
It's fucking awesome.
